Telecom is a highly regulated industry. That means there is no free or paid lookup that can accurately determine who owns a number, whether it's VoIP or a traditional landline. The courts can compel the company to release the customer records, but only the courts.

Given the context you've provided, your best route for uncovering who is behind the number will require you to involve the authorities who may or may not be interested in pursuing this further, or to compel the information as part of a suit. I am not a lawyer and recommend you talk to a lawyer about how to legally compel this information.

Contact the police.

Unfortunately nobody here can help you; there is no way to reliably trace VoIP numbers.

Mine is a little more strange. I was on the phone with a friend, we were cracking some pretty offensive jokes directed towards each other then minute later I get a text from an onvoy number saying I’m “racist as fuck”

I’m having a similar issue but also had an account of mine hacked and personal info posted. Did the person texting you happen to use a fake # with your area code as well? I’m trying to figure out if this was just a random scammer or someone who knows me and used my area code on purpose.

This scammer was on the phone with my father when I got on phone and told him he was scamming a elderly the guy on the phone called me a stupid bitch and asking who I was I hung up and now trying to find out more information on this ONVOY, LLC 4256502766.

When it comes to stuff like this, there is no such thing as a coincidence.

I just started receiving weird blocked calls & vulgar threatening text msgs from 2 seperate phone #'s same Area codes & prefixes... BUT LAST 4 DIGITS are different. & It is SAME Caller ID tracked called: ONVOY SPECTRUM, LLC. It also appears phone call location is coming from nearby city locally where I live. & YES...SAME SPOOKY details of this WEIRDO w/name & knowing my personal info too! DEFINITELY CREEPY! & I tried same to track calls & reply bk & talk shit bk & this supposed male texting me threats & very vulgar disrespectful talk & into Suttle threats as well! PISSED ME OFF! Cuz I was same....UNSURE IF someone I knew was pulling a weird prank! OR Concerned another CREEPSTER!

So this msg is in reply to all other folks on here having SAME very similar issues.... Sounds to me like SCAM TO POSSIBLY try & manipulate & get the nieve individuals receiving these WEIRD threatening TEXT OR CALLS to maybe get the targeted individual to meet somewhere & probably ROB them!
Or sexual attacks or something sinister! Def is NOT COOL! & I really had a WEIRDO GUY call me for 6 mos. Each yr....& was really calling me non-stop about 5 yrs ago & was very CREEPY & wasn't playin with FULL DECK! & was very ODD! & I don't underestimate or prejudge ANYONE anymore! Cuz that ONLY happened few yrs ago! SCARED THE FUCK OUTTA me & my Fmly & other 1/2. & My Mom & my sister hv been rapid or attacked yrs ago & were victims that got away or raped in past!

So ya my MIND GOES THERE OF CREEPSTERS! But this situation appears now AFTER READING ALL SIMILARITIES.... SOUNDS like way to try & SCAM people! Their has been many weird outta the box scams & ways to ROB innocent people these days! Def be open minded & stay safe & NEVER underestimate any situations like this! Just in case!

I've been getting random texts from onvoy as well..and bandwidth.com numbers..I've reported most of them..

This company is an annoying company who AIDS SPAM callers to conduct business as usual and irritate the hell out of you with numbers that are familiar to you

I know this is old but same thing just happened to me, making weird comments and knowing my name. They even sent photos of my house and the school that my sister attends at. Even knows that I walk to school.

I am constantly getting phone calls NOT SUPPORTED. When I do a reverse lookup it comes back as Onvoy-3 sinch. I keep blocking them, but they keep calling with different numbers. Has anyone had this experience and figured out a way to stop it. 

I just got a text telling they know what I’ve done and that I better watch my back. lol

Someone with a fake number wrote my boyfriend trying to claim I’m talking to someone… I just wanna know who’s trying to put strain man 😭

I had 2 friends reach out that they got a text from  A different number claiming to be beans went on to talk about my 11 year old daughter. Very very inappropriate stuff.  Most of the information that they got was from one of the friends like they were phishing for info. They never came out with it. But once they got any info they ran with it. I’m still extremely concerned and scared because it involved my child. I reached out to police and there wasn’t much they could do. Super scary 

This happened to me last night. A 786-509-5812 texted e saying they were outside my door and seen my mom and its so weird because i recently just moved and nb knows where i live but my close friends. I reversed looked up the number & it was a Onvoy and VOIP situation. Its just really scary and had me shaken up. I called police and made an report as well.

Just contact Onvoy (now Sinch) and report it. They're not going to tell you who it is, but they will send an acceptable use policy violation to whoever has the number, which is most likely a reseller.

I didn’t receive a text however I received a call late at night from a phone number starting with (202)301-####. I searched the number online and phone reports of a prank caller.
