I’ve gone the “small, intentional” route too. I mostly use WhatsApp/Signal for real people, YouTube for learning, Reddit for specific interests, and Google Maps/Calendar/Notes for life logistics. I keep Instagram but it’s basically a curated feed + DMs, and I’m ruthless about muting/unfollowing.

And yeah—a more private life is usually better. Fewer connections, higher quality. The only downside is you have to be intentional about staying close to the people you do care about, or you end up isolated by accident.

Spicy first, salty second, sweet last. Spicy feels like dopamine + endorphins, salty is the “crunch therapy,” and sweet is nice but I tap out fast unless it’s paired with something (dark chocolate + coffee, spicy-sweet wings, etc.). Spicy + salty together is undefeated comfort food.
