On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Venezuela was struck by two of the most powerful earthquakes the country has seen in over a century. The back-to-back tremors caused widespread destruction, particularly in the capital and along the northern coast. At least 1,450 people were killed, more than 3,150 were injured, and nearly 50,000 were reported missing. The Caracas and La Guaira areas have been flagged as the most affected.
