Without warning, the promised future of 2017 disappeared.
Why? How? Who? By what means?

It's a fun game with a lot of stories and servants to collect. As a fan of the series, I am invested in the characters and story content. I love all the different art styles for the character cards. The only negative is that grinding can be a bit monotonous, and the gameplay gets somewhat repetative over time. The story does do well to balance that out. Overall, I would recommend it.

FGO has been in a bit of a stale holding pattern for a few years now. It's not remotely bad, but it's a far cry from its peak as well. While LB6 and 7 were good, the fact so many questions remain, and then they hit us with Ordeal Stall for 2 years, really makes Part 2 feel like kind of a letdown overall. There's still a lot to love, with good events, characters and a writing quality that is far above most gacha games. But there's probably better games on the market to get invested in nowadays.

A large amount of this games enjoyment for myself is being able to just learn more about the characters. Sadly the games first 5 parts are nothing but filler due to the games previous thoughts of just being a cash grab. Now however its safely to say that FGO has changed and followed more of a Visual Novel story game, with Turn based combat. Another problem is the Gacha, but in a year you'll get more then enough to get favorite characters.
