I came across a random youtube algorithm video, and I came here to confirm.

    Basically a term for people who cover songs. Anyone who listened to japanese probably are familiar with some of these popular utaites' names, like Kano, Harutya, Sana, Yuikonnu, Hanatan, etc. Kano also became a vtuber, but not any of the rest besides the other 2 (rika and nayuta) in Hololive afaik. It seems Yagoo sorta more or less tried to recruit these types of people during Gen 0th.

    Nayuta is a niconico legend, she's too big of a name to let go, she's still somewhat active on youtube and twitter.

    Rika has huge potential and is quite famous among female utaite on youtube (yes she is coming close to 300k subscribers) and niconico, her valentines' collab with Koshin-Shimazaki of Tamayura Ni Negaiwo (玉響に願いヲ) blew up with on niconico over 350k views in about less than one month, and is right now her most viewed video on niconico. Rika's also collaborated with Matsushita, who previously collaborated with Mafumafu back in 2012, and is now probably a vtuber as Suzuki Hina of HIMEHINA (Ayaponzu, another female utaite, is probably Hime Tanaka). I actually want Rika to collaborate with Lon, another utaite who recently collaborated with Rimena, who is also another member of Tamayura Ni Negaiwo (玉響に願いヲ). Here's Lon's collab with Rimena.

    People who generally cover vocaloid music on Niconico. Some of the most famous utaites are Mafumafu, Eve, Sou, and Lon (yes the Lon i'm talking about was the one who sang Ochame Kinou back in 2010, basically the most popular version before hololive came in).

    I don't think Mina Yuen is the same person as Ikasumi tho, I think Mina may either be Inui Toko or Ange Katrina (both from Nijisanji).

    I don't know who downvoted, but your first guess is correct. The Okayu link is often perpetuated but quite wrong. There was a collab video that is now private...but clips exist. Watching those and the original channel it should be quite obvious.

    Some of them are married yes, but that's not relevant. Cover doesn't have any rules about that stuff, unlike a real idol company. Their only rule is no relationships with staff. It's all about presentation.

      I'm not Indonesian or speak Indonesian, so I can't investigate it myself.

      And the Indonesian community is not like the Japanese. They don't obsessively document and correlate stuff, and they don't get extra evidence to confirm, so anything out of them is less trustworthy.
