  • Watsonwas a vtuber on twitch by the name of sachiowo, I think she’s deleted most of the stuff relating to this so it’s up to you to find more info if you want

  • InaIs an artist that goes by the name nagu on twitter, and still posts on twitter, I have no idea if she streamed or where she streamed. I’ll give you a link to her twitter here

  • MoriIs a talented rapper as well as an animator that goes by the name of DEMONDICE, she’s got a YouTube where she’s released music, and she’s done animated music videos for TOPHAMHAT-KYO, in fact she did the video for his most popular song. I’ll leave a link to her YouTube channel here

  • KiaraIs a cosplayer that goes the name of keekihime on twitter, and she’s still active to this day. On her twitter you can find a link to her YouTube where she does behind the scenes cosplay videos and videos on japan/vlogs. I’ll leave a link to her twitter here

  • Gura,If you don’t already know, is the popular Youtuber/vtuber Senzawa. Yes, the same Senzawa who created that mega viral OK boomer song. Watson Holy shit I used to watch Sachiowo stream back in 2019, though i unfollowed her back in may since i found other people to watch. She had all these cool channel point redemption things where she would yell or say certain phrases and whatnot. I remember her singing Telephone Number by Junko Ohashi and she would scream awoo lol.

If any of them were a vtuber or anime style artist around 2019 it's very possible I watched/followed them at some point. I haven't been active in that general community since then so none of them immediately jump out to me. It's been too long for me to really remember much but the few I watched the most.

Do we know stuff like this for the holo ID and JP members? Knowing who they were in the past is really interesting and gives some insight on what part of their Vtuber persona is acting and what part is the real them. Getting to know how got to where they are today is really intriguing to me

Yeah, most of them are known. Writing them all out would take me a century so instead I’ll direct you to this playlist of info on the matter. The videos don’t explicitly state who each person is, but with the clues in the videos and the comments it should be pretty easy to identify people.

I call it the Ayako Kawasumi effect. I used to think (naively) that Saber was one of the actress' first parts, but the VA actually had a long career from 1992 onwards when Type Moon hired her. And most importantly she had experience voicing in long-running series which likely was essential for the long visual novel Fate/Stay Night was.

Back to VTubers it's quite obvious that established companies like Hololive will hire experienced talent first. Maybe there is a HoloVtuber or two who were little-experience-diamonds-in-the-rough and with whom Cover took a gamble, but most likely if one is not already in the business of entertainment in one fashion or another, at the potential casting Cover will favor other candidates.

aww, it was taken down already. It's okay, but I was so looking forward to know what Botan does IRL. I always imagined her as maybe a gun enthusiast or someone who came from a family of military-related people. hahaha though that could just be my imagination.. hahahaha If anyone will link me something then, I'd appreciate that. Though, I don't think I will be clicking it for real, in fear of it destroying my idea of who botan really is. It's just fun to play detective sometimes. hehehe

It's not the most far-fetched but I've seen people whose styles are so so similar. Especially if they're inspired by the same thing and in this case both show a very anime like style. The only problem I see between the two for now is that Nagu highlights the eyes with small dots on the iris (on the bottom), but ina doesn't. And idk if she's doing that to stylistically put herself apart from nagu or maybe she just isn't nagu at all.

Don't bother actually posting on there: search through the archives and you'll find pretty much everything you can possibly want to know, for better or for worse. Pretty much any conversation you can imagine having about this stuff has already been had on there. Just ignore the shitposting.

Try the search function first, its the easiest way. Sometimes that fails, even if you know exactly what you're looking for, so then just pick any recent thread that's not during a scheduled stream and scroll through it until you see something relevant. You'll probably have to go through 5 or 10 if you're looking for some kind of obscure information. I don't really know of any better way.

Additionally, I think you already kind of get this, but there's plenty of half-informed small-brained people in there, so don't believe what they say without examining ALL the evidence. And definitely don't take stuff from there and post it anywhere else. Good luck, there's a lot of hololive history hidden in there.

Maybe the allure of Hololive is the mystery for you but others are interested in the expanded portfolio of these creators. The whole idol thing is a pretense for Vtubers anyway. The main reason so many are attracted to them is the personalities of each individual Vtubers. In that way it’s no different than being a fan of any artists. It’s just Hololive has bullshit contracts that deny vtubers the ability to present as anything other than the character assigned to them. Probably because the character is intellectual property that Hololive has exclusive control over . The idol industry is already a shitty and exploitative part of entertainment.

I don't agree with that statement as a whole.
Talking about past lives can help people find old streamers they used to follow
before graduating, or quitting their streams to join corpos.

It's incredibly useful for finding Certain Ex-Hololive and Ex-Nichisanji vtubers now that they
are either in New companies or have completely gone independent

Now obviously I do think there is taking it too far, Like exposing the IRL person behind the Vtuber
when they weren't originally a public figure, attempting to "unmask" their true identity if you will.

Hololive standarts got way higher lately, they will not get people who dont have a good amount of experience in entertainment anymore, so yes most of the girls to come will have a famous past and this was expected, they are taking it more seriously, Coco even said by those new standarts she wouldnt got into Hololive. I know you're curious to talk about but a lot of viewers in this world prefer to separate the character from the person so yes try to keep your curiosity for yourself in the next time, i mean Google is here, its not the hardest thing to find it knowing what to search.
