In my opinion, what measures the "worth" of a society/civilazation is five main things:

The value that society places upon Wisdom, and cultivating it.
The value that society places on Morality, and building a moral society.
The value that society places on treating animals with compassion and respect.
The value that society places on protecting its Children.
The value that society places on treating pedophiles with utmost harshness and contempt.

I find that a truly great civilization, worthy of its own existence is one that:

Places Wisdom and Morality above all other civilizational pursuits.

One that fosters compassion towards Animals.

One that encourages all to work to protect its children.

One that punishes pedophilia with the worst punishments imaginable.

For example, I would rather live in a African village with mud huts and people dancing half naked, if it meant that mudhut tribal villlage was full of morally upright individuals who prioritized wisdom and ripped out the hearts of pedos whilst they are still alive than in a highly advanced civilization where morality and wisdom are considered something for only autistic weirdos and pedophiles are allowed to run amuck ( so basically our current society )
