Playing as Japan clicked grant citation in ship details, but there's nothing, just blank
If I have all the dlcs, which rt56 paths are worth playing?
I only just picked the game up over the past fortnight and have jumped into this mod as it seems to add a bit extra to the game which I'm really enjoying.
Here's the thing though, I really don't want to play "the meta" and try to take over the world. In my practice runs I've been having a blast just developing Brazil whilst slowly building up their armed forces and launching the occasional war against neighbours. I also like to base my divisions on what I think real units should be organised and I'm not bothered if it's the best design to game the game.
So I was wondering if I'm alone in this approach or does everyone just end up going full Tonto megalomaniac eventually and paint the map?
Is this intentional or a bug?
Under 1939 artillery there’s a mention of assault guns however idk how to put them in my tanks, it just doesn’t show up even if I make them SPGs
Have been playing germany for years now and never used that part of the tree (never even got to it actually)
ignore the spd in goverment that bug is allways present even if you dont do goofy stuff with the console
basically if you pass the defense of Democraxy Act both parties get banned but a (ONLY VISUAL) glitch still shows them in the reichstag elections
Hello, I am playing as Ukraine rn and I have a small problem. I cannot do the "Unite Ukraine" decision, even though to unify Ukraine, I have all the required states by the outline. The "Unite Ukraine" decision itself says that I do not have all the Polish Ukrainian states, but the outline says something else, plus I even gave myself Polesie (which I have a claim on) trough command, yet it still di not work. So that is my issue rn (It would not be a big deal if it was not required to claim and later proclaim the Greater Ukraine)
Im using the reichokommisariats + mod road to 56 compatableility mod and for some reason in messes up a lot of countries colours. Anybody know how to fix this? Thx in advance
shock troops doctrine idea?
one for forsts and cities
the other for breaking stale mates
focus says it greants +15% supply efficency but the spirit only gets the fuel consumption
I was trying to play china coup path and I couldn’t get enough fascism support until 1937-38 and then after I got it I figured out I had to conquer all the Chinese states via border conflicts, is there a other way?
Field hospital 3 used to give the normal helicopters also a buff why not in road to 56 anymore?
please make it easier to go into a colation with the NRAF as either the CVU or DNVP withouth destroying your stability
2 -0,1 weekly stability adds up a lot later down and why can i remove only one even?
I have all of them in my modlist, but I don't know which one do I play first. Which one? I haven't seen much about this question on Reddit so I ask on this subreddit
I have been trying to play them but every time it is the same story, i get my ass whooped by Sinkiang and the volunteers sent from the soviets. Any tips on how to tuen this around? On how to win perhaps?
Was playing this mod (and hoi4 in general) for the first time in a while with a friend. By the end of the game I was messing around with the tank designer to see what monstrosities I could make, but even maxing out armour on modern tanks (,~230) and adding supper heavies (~300) was barely enough to give a division more armour than the 160+ piercing he had on his basic infantry divisions with support AT. I feel like the tech tree has a few too many piercing upgrades for infantry lol
I noticed that majority of the Army HQ support battalions in vanilla, don't exist in the overhaul. I understand that the update was a week after the release of thew new DLC. Was this intended or do I have to wait for the next monthly update for it to be incorporated?
Hello guys, im having a problem which occurred recently where if i try to change a division template (from a bad to a newly made one) it does absolutely nothing. The pop up where it shows what you lose or gain doesnt even pop up the entire changing templates system doesnt work. Any suggestions??
i picked walter ulbricht as leader when thalmann died, and now a new requirement apperaed to some focuses about a leftist internationalist coup which looks way cooler than the normal communist path so how do i trigger it
So since the new dlc my Road to 56 doesnt or better explained it Crashes and says map couldnt load I dont know what to do do i need to wait for a fix or is it my game
Playing as Germany on both the latest patches. I'm unable to change division templates for deployed units. The selection comes up but when I click on the new unit type nothing happens.
Not a big deal as I'll just go back to Case Green until the bugs are ironed out but figured I'd bring it to the community's attention anyway. If anybody wants to report this on Discord, feel free. I'm unable to do so.
I have the balance of power 0-15 percent in deadlock between canarie and beck and I clicked the decision for wilhelm the 2nd to not abdicate but it just gives me canaris. what do I do?
basically title. i have ships essentially disassembling while "repairing" in dockyards after giving them the order to repair now and forcing them out of convoy raiding. They’re going down to 0.0 and immediately sink when i order them into another port
-
how does that even happen
-
how do i fix that
im doing a light tank/naval New Zealand game
I can't physically update my game past 1.17, otherwise it breaks. I was using the 1.18 version of Road to 56 with the 1.17 version of the game, and it worked fine. Then, the Road to 56 mod updated to 1.19 and now it wont launch with the game on 1.17.
i am trying to rush guns and have 9 millitias per division and getting the first gun upgrade but i am simply not quick enough to equip them to win the early border wars before japan says hi. one time i got lucky and i managed to win the one in the east which is helping but i can't help but feel like if i simply had won the western border too i would be snowballing quicker and harder during the anti-japan war.
Trying to play the facist path the British Raj is literally impossible. Because to get free from the British, the resistance of a state must be at least 65% to 85% but as soon as resistance reaches high enough, the individual princely states start breaking away, which makes it impossible to further trigger the civil war. Has anyone faced this?
I don't quite remember which year, but if I had to guess, it would be April 2024
I was playing rt56 with the doomsday series( a zombie mod) on insane difficulty (zombies have 100% atk&def). In the past usually all countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa were stomped by the zombie horde in few years. This time the Germany somehow manages to push back to Moscow.
I haven't played for a while; the German Civil War used to be quite easy but after coming back it seems oddly difficult? The fascist AI simply has too many units to beat, any initial advance is quickly overwhelmed once the units that rise up in the cities are defeated. There are also only a few more units than tiles. I've tried the "rush the Czech border" strategy but the AI is too efficient at stopping breakthroughs now.
Yes I know I can cheese it.
In vanilla you can restore both Austria-Hungary and the HRE but with the mod i only see the decision for HRE
Basically title. Do you forgo on any rt56 trees? Do you bother switching out trees for the AI?
Since Germany has completely new paths such as the Strasserists, there should be an option to choose from the new paths which you get after the German Civil war.
Playing as the Allies and with attache on soviets, i noticed consistently everygame once the soviets gets pushed back a certain amount into their territories, they redeploy all of their infantry to garrison and only deploy the few tank divisions on their frontlines which easily gets pushed by the germans even more.
Which of the focus trees is better?
I couldn't find a good guide, and to be honest Im still new to the game. But I want to join the allies with Louis Ferdinand, I know you have to wait till 1941 till Wilhelm dies but I heard you can make Willhelm abdicate earlier, how?
Hi I'm playing Manchuria trying to do Qing restoration, and this has bugged be for a while, because I don't understand what "Not:Manchuria has commited to a path of separatism" means for the requirements for the reclaim the empire focus, and it locks me out of doing the run.
I tried it after the end of the sino-japanese war (the screenshot I provided is a new run) assuming it would just be a event or something, but no luck. If anybody knows what the requirements are to do the focus I would be very grateful for you to tell me, thank you.
I'm playing as Zhang Xueliang and I heard there were mechanics for contesting the republic of China for leadership of the KMT but I don't see a focus or a mechanic for it. Is this something that's possible and i'm just missing it?
Was playing as Japan and decided to let Manchuria develop using its Focuses and excavation tech before integrating and developing it further. Yet when I annexed and integrated it those developed resources disappeared, leaving me with not enough steel for my factories as I’d been using Manchuria as my own steel producer only to end up with nothing.
I need a communist Sokoto flag for my collection in the flags folder on the road to the 56
I would like to note that in "The Road to '56", ground warfare has been completely abolished. In fact, in many regions, and most importantly in the Eastern European region, supply has been cut by about three times.
In reality, and in previous versions of the game, to reliably cover the region from the Baltic Sea to the Carpathian Mountains (the regions of the Soviet Special Military Districts), about a hundred full-strength infantry divisions and about 30-50 mechanized divisions were needed.
But the supply in "The Road to '56" allows deploying no more than 50 full-strength divisions in this region. This is completely unserious.
This makes aviation completely omnipotent in battles, especially compared to "The Road to '56" in the updates before the current year.
The need for garrisons to control captured territory has also been completely eliminated. This need has been reduced tenfold or more compared to "The Road to '56" in the updates before the current year.
As a result, ground warfare in "The Road to '56" has been completely abolished. Aviation has a total advantage. And ground forces, in principle, are no longer needed. This is very bad.
All these new mechanics for tank and aircraft design are very cool, but what's the point of them? Especially for tanks - there's no one to fight against. Where is all this big, beautiful land battles!?
Thank you for your attention. Have a good day.
How do you unlock the 5th battalion for the Germans in RT56?
Im trying to play a GPR run, but when I do the hold national elections focus my name changes back to german empire and I no longer have the decision to form the greater presidental republic. Is there a way to revert back to the GPR name since just "German Empire" is very boring (Plus the colors bad)
title
Is it possible to get Erich Raeder as leader of germany in r56 like in vanilla? Can’t find a way to get him..
When you go democratic as Poland (The Front Morges), the focus gives you Sikorski as a field marshal. But he is already a starting field marshal.

Countries I've played so far:
-
Germany
-
Austria
-
Netherlands
-
Czechoslovakia
-
Yugoslavia
-
Communist China
-
Ma Clique
-
British Raj
-
Peru
Want to find another country with new interesting content added by the mod.
Has anyone else just gotten screwed over by the civil war? When taking the Overthrow focus that leads to the war the focus claims that the percentage of armed forces the opposing faction gets is based on Democratic support in which I banned democracy, making it 0%. Yet their side actually has more troops than me, is this a bug or does banning democracy cause this?
I've recently been playing with the RT56 mod, and I've been interested in using the Shock Troops in my future playthroughs. Are they worth the investment? If so, which varation (infantry, motorized, mechanized) is better, and what's a good template for shock troops?
Whenever I follow the traditional way down the Republic of China focus tree trying to put CDSP in power it just doesn't work. Only thing that happens is that the minigame is locked and I can only announce results which means the Kuomintang wins automatically.

Title
do the focus trees get incremented mid game or they stay in the same layout till the end?
Idk what I have to do to be able to activate it (Sorry that it's German)
i was in a middle of a campaign when the game updated and the save file wasn't playable anynore. i switched the game version back to the one i was playing on, but mod was incompatible. so i just lost hours of my time
picture in question:
after completing neurtahs concerns intregrate czech manufacures apperd here
So i am trying to go monarchist but i cannot see to find where the decisions to improve cannaris influence are so i am always getting Beck what do i do?
Playing as germany and its 1946 and italy keeps asking me to join their naval research group
Hello. I may be the only person on earth who builds these, but when I use the variant creation system on amphibious tractor '43 (prolly '41 too?) playing as USSR, I make a variant, it shows the cost, I press go, and nothing happens. The cost is not deducted from my mil experience, and the variant doesn't enter my available production queue. This feels buggy. Thank you.
The USA's NF tree in the base game is very oversimplified, and misses lots of cool opportunities when it engages in LARPing. I'd like to suggest the below model, which is more flexible gameplay-wise and truer to history; the Limited Intervention/Neutrality Act branch should be its own separate branch as well to deal with the crowding. The postwar political branch would be accessible after each branch's split choice.
Communist Branch:
-
Reach out to the Ware Group
-
US-USSR Economic Cooperation
-
Communist Secret Police
-
Unholy Alliance
-
Split Choice: Return Alaska <-> Transfer ownership of the Panama Canal
Shared Communist/Trotskyist:
-
Purge the Right
-
Self-Determination for the Black Belt - creates a collaboration government in the Deep South
-
Shatter the Empires
Trotskyist Branch:
-
Worker Management Act
-
Trotskyite Haven - adds a national spirit of the same name
-
Democratic Socialism
-
Hemispheric Revolution - Allows the USA to form a pan-American communist nation with a capital in Panama
-
Split Choice: Fascism is the Greater Threat <-> Stalin is the Greater Threat
Shared Trotskyist/New Deal:
-
Union Representation Act
-
Accumulated Wealth Tax Act
-
Communal Property Act
New Deal Branch:
-
WPA
-
Agricultural Adjustment Act
-
Fair Labor Standards Act
-
Old Age Pension Act
-
Split Choice: Pack the Supreme Court <-> Second Bill of Rights
Shared New Deal/Fascist:
-
National Employment Strategy
-
National Prosperity Program
-
Guarantee the American Dream
Fascist branch:
-
The Cult of Washington
-
Collaborate with the Mafia
-
Send Lindbergh to Germany
-
Work with the Bund
-
War Powers Act
-
Split Choice: North American Dominion <-> Global Hegemony
Shared Fascist/Laissez-Faire:
-
Adjusted Compensation Act
-
Revived National Preparedness Movement - boost recruitable population, lowers PP for conscription laws, and/or boosts factory conversion speed
-
Purge the Left
Laissez-Faire Branch:
-
Privatize the TVA
-
Deregulate the Banking Sector
-
Income Tax Reform
-
Labor-Management Relations Act
-
Split Choice: Emphasize Private Property <-> Emphasize Money
These NF would be moved from the political branch into the "Intervention" tree:
-
Scientific R&D Office
-
Rubber Reserve Company
These NF would be moved from the political branch into the "War Department" tree
-
Militia Organization Act
-
Expand Intelligence Services
These NF would be moved from the political branch into the "War Plans" tree, and would merely require different national ideologies between the nations (not just fascist USA):
-
Seize Cuba
-
Eliminate the Southern Threat
-
The Canadian Corridor
-
Protect South America
-
Pacific Pacification
-
Secure Asia
These NF can be erased or consolidated:
-
Liberty for the Philippines - the Philippines should either be a "Supervised State" and/or have a national spirit that grants automatic daily autonomy gain
-
Pacific Decolonization - effects can be added to "Shatter the Empires"
-
"Reintegration" - this is locked behind the communist tree, but affects democratic congressional mechanics and only exists because of the civil war/confederacy mechanic; with a separate "Race Relations" NF tree, it becomes irrelevant
-
Secure China - this is rooted in the Sino-Soviet split which didn't occur until the 1970s; from 1945-1960 the USSR & China were not at odds with each other
-
End Monarchism - this can be merged with "Shatter the Empires"
-
America First - this can be merged with "Ally with the Silver Shirts"
-
Invite Foreign Support - this mechanic makes more sense for a communist revolution than for a fascist takeover
-
Recruit the Free Corps - this is shoehorning the 1920s German Civil War into 1930s America; the German-American community IRL was more liberal than the monarchist Freikorps
-
Manifest Destiny - this only creates a discount to justifying war goals, and would be better if merged with "North American Dominion"
-
Strategic Interests - this is a half-baked focus that aims at seizing strategic chokepoints, but not all of them. Adding a "core/base strategic chokepoints" across the globe would be better merged with "Global Hegemony"
-
Join Mexican Revolutionaries - this is out of place for the Stalinists and redundant with Trotsky's vision of a pan-American communist state
-
Double Victory - this becomes unnecessary with a separate "Race Relations" NF tree
Trying to do all of the achievements.
I got all the American ones except for 'Yeehaw!' and that requires me to become Texas.
How do I become Texas?
