We have received a complaint from an external organization regarding the answers to the "Japanese Language" section of Kanagawa University's 2026 (Reiwa 8) general entrance examination (held on February 4th). Upon further investigation and review within the university, we have discovered that there was an error in how the correct answers for the relevant section were handled.

Because an answer that should have been treated as correct was not properly evaluated, we revised the criteria for determining the correct answer to the question and re-graded the papers, resulting in the identification of new successful candidates.

We deeply apologize for causing such a situation during the entrance examination, which should have been conducted with strict integrity, and for the great inconvenience caused to the applicants, their guardians, and all those involved.

Furthermore, regarding the future of these successful candidates, we will respond with sincerity, taking into account the individual circumstances of each person.

Kanagawa University takes this incident very seriously and will review our system for creating entrance examination questions, as well as strive to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.
