04/05/2026 – From my understanding, this particular incident appears to stem from the fact that the individual he approached was Filipino. As a fellow Southeast Asian, I am aware of reports concerning American “passport bros” who travel to the Philippines and pursue significantly younger college students, and in some cases even underage girls, while being well over 40 years old themselves. Regrettably, this important cultural and contextual aspect was not clearly communicated in the original document.

I will now turn to the publicly available statements that I was able to directly access. I performed due diligence by personally verifying and cross-referencing the claims made in the original document. It is only natural to ask why people began accusing him of sexual misconduct in the first place. Conducting basic research to examine the basis of such serious allegations is both reasonable and necessary.
The purpose of this section is to clarify that I was unable to obtain direct evidence concerning the other alleged victims. As a result, I focused instead on reviewing Kodiak’s own public statements in order to cross-reference and corroborate the claims made in the original document. Several matching admissions were identified.
Kodiak himself has publicly admitted to flirting with women in the VTubing space.

What is this wording? Especially after learning the full details of the events that transpired, I find it deeply concerning. For context, I do not even particularly like Hemo, yet this statement is still highly inappropriate.

This is not a feminist issue. It is fundamentally a matter of misconduct. The VTubing medium is entirely distinct from dating platforms — they are two fundamentally different environments. This perspective is offered by someone with experience as a VTuber manager.
