Track Pattern

●The Starter Set makes it easy for even beginners to enjoy Model Railroading.
●The set includes all the necessary products, such as train, Track, and a power unit (controller), so you can start running and enjoy the experience right away.
●The included train are all unique and fun to drive.
●The Track pattern is the oval "Track Pattern A".
●All Track are made of Finetrack.
* What is FineTrack? This is a group of Tomix Track products that have a more detailed appearance, such as the use of three colors to represent the ballast on the roadbed, and are easier to use with improved joiners.

To enjoy model driving safely.
・Please be sure to read the included guidebook and instructions.
・Please regularly maintain the Track and wheels to remove any dirt. Also, if the Track are not properly connected, electricity will not flow. Please make sure to connect them securely.
・Avoid sudden starts, stops, or other rough driving. This puts strain on the motor and can cause it to break down.

How to use the Stater set SD

Start Model Railroading with this " Starter Set "!

1. First, line up the Track on a flat surface.

  • Prepare the necessary Track.
  • Next, arrange the Track in the desired layout on a flat surface.

    *The illustration is an example of the most basic " Track Pattern A" used in Stater set SD and My Plan LT.

2. Connect the Track

  • Align the protrusion on the end of the Track with the groove on the opposite Track, and push it in horizontally and straight until it clicks into place.
  • When removing the Track, pull them horizontally.

The ends of the Track(joiners) are sharp. Please be careful not to get injured.

3. Insert DC feeder N into the Track

  • Carefully insert the DC Feeder N all the way into the socket in the center of the Track.

4. Insert the DC feeder N connector into the power unit.

  • Insert the DC feeder N connector into the power unit, and then insert the AC adapter connector into the power unit.
    *Some power unit models do not come with an AC adapter.

Do not plug the AC adapter or power unit into a power outlet yet!

5. Place the train on the Track

  • Use the relayer to place the train on the Track .

6. Connect the train

  • Connect the train by gently pushing them together on the straight Track .

7. Follow the procedure to turn on the power switch of the power unit.

  • Make sure the power switch is OFF, the speed control dial (lever, handle) is in the STOP position, and the direction is in the ● position.
    *Depending on the model, the speed control may be a lever or a handle. Please operate it according to the instructions that came with the product.
  • Insert the AC adapter (or the AC plug if your model does not have an AC adapter) into a power outlet.
  • Turn the power switch ON.
  • Turn on the direction switch to match the direction you want the train to go.

8. Run the train

  • Turn the speed control dial to drive the train.
    *Depending on the model, the speed control may be a lever or a handle. Please operate it according to the instructions that came with the product.

Please be aware that driving too fast may cause the train to derail. If the vehicle derails, immediately turn the speed control dial to STOP and turn off the power.

9. When you're done driving

  • Set the speed control dial (lever, handle) to the stop position.
  • Set the direction switch to the ● position.
  • Turn the power switch OFF.
