before i called called a gooner i want to clarify that i do not actively seek out shows with fan service nor do i necessarily like or dislike fan service it just exists to me. now this may be due to a variety of factors such as being desensitized to it or simply liking a show too much to pay attention to the fan service or fastforwarding too much.

what i mean by that is when i watch a show i really enjoy i seem to not remember there being any fan service for instance my favorite anime is COTE and alot of my friends say there is a bunch of fan service in it but i swear i dont remember any of it most likely because im too focused on the plot. and in fact i think there are times where it can be funny like i just started watching fire force and im on episode 13 and although the fan service is a bit excessive there are times where it seems like a good way to tone down the intensity of a scene.

does anyone else feel this way because i feel like fanservice gets over hated on for something that doesnt affect the quality of a show too much.

I guarantee, if I didnt do this, I would've forgotten his name very quickly.

Really makes you think about the number of times in official media or one off comics where the MC is just named Otaku-kun.

So I discovered this series when it first premiered 2019 and watched the second season and then kinda dropped off on it. Wasn’t the fault of the show, I just think it was when it was broadcasting weekly and I quit my Crunchyroll subscription due to finances and just didn’t go back to it over the years.

Well now I have started my rewatch of it (currently on second season) to get through all the new content, and I’ve gotta say: what a dang fine show, my dudes.

It’s just so wholesome, tells an engaging story with engaging characters and fun, and it actually had arcs and character growth. And the animation is fine to good but it’s pretty consistent so far. And I really needed it right now - I’ve been down and kinda just not feeling good. But it’s just so dang wholesome and good and cheery and engaging I just wanted to shout it out and hopefully people who have never seen it will see this post and engage with it.

So basically, who else out there really enjoys it and what do you like about it and just general discuss please. I love this show and finding it again has improved my mood significantly.

And please put any spoilers in their appropriate hidden form for myself and others if you do post them.

Edit: also, can we talk about just what a huge a hole Asmodeus is to everyone not named iruma or Valac? Like I forgot how mean he is lol

I adored this show so much. Endearing cast, good characterization, very relatable, and was a blast to watch.

Production values were pretty solid with very good direction. Telling a full story within one season much like Observation Log did.

Great themes about family and finding a place to belong. Absolutely worth a watch.

My father have saw me watching anime multiple times and he was curious about it because we always watch movies and TV show together so he thought because I watch anime he will like it too also he want to watch it because of the internet talking about it alot, the problem i haven't watched a lot of animes so I'm not the best one when It comes to recommend animes, my father is a 56 years old and love to watch action shows his favorite show is breaking bad and he don't like romance in his shows so I don't want the anime to have romance and he doesn't like things that have too much fantasy elements i will like the anime to be like real life and i don't want a too long anime like dragonball or one piece, please guys help🙏

I’m looking for a fantasy/isekai anime I watched on Muse Asia.

I think he had brown hair
I vaguely remember an eyepatch, but I’m not sure
Might have been reincarnation or transported to another world
Kingdom/castle setting
A princess or noble girl meets him early in the story
The ONE thing I’m confident about:

Near the end of the anime, the MC wakes up imprisoned in a dungeon/jail underneath the kingdom/castle. I also remember that the same girl from earlier was somehow involved with him ending up there.

I’ve already checked a lot of the popular answers (Shield Hero, Re:Zero, Spirit Chronicles, etc.) and none of them are it.

Okay so last time I asked about sad anime and got so many great replies. so now I wanna ask the opposite lol.

for me it's Code Geass. that ending was just perfect. It wrapped everything up so well and I still think about it years later.

what about you? which anime actually stuck the landing? 

I made this little guy a while ago, but was waiting for him to reach his new home before sharing him. I confess I've not actually watched Gundam 00...well, I started and never finished? It's on the "get back to it one of these days" list along with Princess Tutu.

Anyway, it's my understanding he never looked this cheerful in canon...oh well, this is Tieria Happy Mode. He was fun to make, and the glasses were my first experience using polymer clay because I wasn't happy with the fabric versions.

Next Gundam plushies? Well, one of these days I gotta make Sulette and Miorine.
