Honestly, it doesn't gain them anything. Southwest - the only airline to do open seating - stopped with that recently, so no airline has open seats where getting on "early" wins you a good seat. Instead you get a shittier airport experience, and you leave the plane last (unless these scumbags just walk off like they are perfectly fine). Let them burdenmax the airport, keeps wagies employed and busy.
