Abstract

This study analyzes verses (1-8) of Surah Al-Anfal, focusing on rulings regardingspoils of war, the significance of obedience to revelation, and the role of faith inachieving victory. Using an analytical methodology, it examines the meanings ofthe verses in their historical and linguistic contexts, drawing on classical andcontemporary exegeses. The study also explores juristic opinions on legislativerulings. It aims to uncover the verses’ legislative and educational aspects by analyzing itsmain themes, emphasizing the importance of Quranic vocabulary and grammar inunderstanding its deeper meanings. Additionally, it highlights the verses'educational role in guiding the Muslim community toward adherence to divinerulings and promoting ethical values, offering insights into their relevance to contemporary challenges.

Mohammed Minhaj Uddin is an academic researcher in Qur’anic Studies and a master’s candidate in the Department of Quran and Sunnah at Qatar University. He also serves as the Imam and Khatib of the university’s central mosque. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from Jamiah Darul Ma'arif Al-Islamia, Chittagong, Bangladesh. His academic interests include Qur’anic studies, Tafsir methodologies, and the impact of cultural diversity on Qur’anic interpretation. He has authored and co-authored several research papers in these fields, contributing to contemporary debates on Qur’anic exegesis, scholarly traditions, and Islamic thought. Alongside his academic pursuits, he has six years of professional experience as a journalist, which strengthened his communication and analytical skills. Proficient in seven languages, he actively engages in intercultural dialogue and scholarly collaboration. Looking ahead, he aspires to pursue a PhD in Qur’anic Sciences, aiming to enrich the study of the Qur’an and advance contributions to global Islamic scholarship.
