The developers of Last Origin R+ have confirmed that players in several countries will either be unable to access the game entirely or will receive a censored version due to legal and regulatory concerns.
In a statement posted on the game’s official Twitter account, the Last Origin R+ Operations Team said it had explored “every avenue” to make the game available worldwide but was ultimately forced to impose regional restrictions following legal reviews:
The announcement is particularly notable because Japan has traditionally been one of Last Origin’s strongest markets. Many were surprised to see Japan included on the censorship list rather than the unrestricted list, especially given the game’s reputation for heavily fanservice-oriented character designs.
Perhaps most surprising is the presence of South Korea on the outright restricted list. While Last Origin originated as a Korean game, the new R+ version will reportedly not be available there under the announced rules.

I’m not surprised that the Japanese version will have pixelated censorship as the R+ version has full nudity with exposed genitalia in it compared to the implied nudity of the original game.
It’s a damn good thing the United States ISN’T included in the censorship list.
We sure as hell got DAMN lucky.
