Anchored in an atmosphere of mystery, the film uses striking, nature-infused imagery to draw viewers into an eerie and contemplative journey. Marczak, invoking Krzysztof Kieślowski, underscores a guiding principle: fiction should resemble documentary, and documentary should echo fiction. Closure operates precisely in that liminal space—a documentary with a fictional sensibility, driven entirely by visual storytelling, where even the river emerges as a central character.

Anthony Head passed away peacefully from complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family. He was 72. To millions, he was Rupert Giles — the quiet, steadfast Watcher who stood beside Buffy Summers for seven seasons and became one of television’s most beloved mentor figures. To a newer generation, he was the deliciously villainous Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso. His daughters Emily and Daisy said: “It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many.” Rest well, Mr. Giles. You were a Watcher until the very end.

Members voted to ratify the 2026 TV/Theatrical Agreement with a 91.42% vote in favour, with a 19.25% participation rate. The contract covers wages, streaming residuals and — critically — AI protections that the guild has fought for since before cameras rolled again after the last walkout.
