Okay first thing is first- so y'all are abandoning the “open air concentration camp” thing now. Just pretending you never said that. Instead we’re recognizing that Gaza had buildings and cars and all of that shit. No more pretending that pictures of tent camps represented the whole place… Got it. Fucking hypocrites.

But the real meat of this is like… Yes. Gaza has been wrecked.

AND THAT IS FUCKING WAR YOU MORONS.

What, do you think people hate war because oh it’s just a little bit meanie weenie? Did you think people are so against war because folks might hurt each other’s feelings?

War is fucking hell. War is wrecked homes, buildings, whole blocks, whole CITIES fucking bombed. That is what war looks like. Those pictures of Gaza are not evidence of some genocide or war crimes. They’re evidence of fucking WAR. This is why war is bad. War kills. War destroys.

And I recognize that a lot of these Pro-Palestine folks are young, and probably weren’t alive when the USA was waging war in the Middle East like I was. A lot of these folks are experiencing the highly televised and publicized conflict in Israel and Palestine as baby’s first war. And so these people are realizing just how fucking horrific war is.

But this is JUST WAR. Like. At baseline, war is bad. War is hell. War is destruction. And I think a lot of these sheltered idiots, who claim to be oppressed and silenced while holding loud protests on their college campuses where they can access higher education and somehow still seem incapable of fucking learning anything. Look at the destruction in Gaza and go “Surely THIS must be a war crime!” because A) They’re sheltered idiots who have never even bothered to look into what war is like because this war? Most wars? They don’t impact them at all. Why should they care? and B) because they NEED this war to somehow be the worst thing ever to justify their continued racist harassment of Jews with every breath.

But like… Guys. This is just what war looks like. This is why so many of us are against war. War is hell. At baseline. You’re just not used to seeing it.
