KMB introduces eleven special routes at Hong Kong Coliseum for Jacky Cheung’s Concert

To tie in with the dispersal arrangement of Jacky Cheung’s Concert “Jacky Cheung 60+ Concert Tour Finale in Hong Kong” at the Hong Kong Coliseum, KMB will introduce 11 special routes for passengers from 23 to 24, 26 to 27, 30 to 31 December 2025, and 2 to 3, 6 to 7, 9 to 10, 13 to 14, 16 to 17, 20 to 21, 23 to 24 January 2026. New Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Schemes in Urban Kowloon and Tai Po that cover multiple KMB Routes for more affordable travel options

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is introducing new Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Schemes in Kowloon urban areas and Tai Po Kau Lung Hang from next Monday (15 December), with maximum savings of up to $8.4. The new sectional fares will provide passengers with more affordable travel choices, making journeys within Kowloon or from Kau Lung Hang to Tai Wo more convenient.

The new Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Schemes covers five routes between Tseung Kwan O and West Kowloon, applicable to trips from Yau Tsim Mong and Sham Shui Po Districts to Kowloon Bay and Hung Hom; and four routes departing from Kau Lung Hang to urban areas, applicable to trips along Tai Wo Service Road West to Tai Wo Station. Simply tap the same Octopus card or use the same e-payment method when boarding and alighting at the fare reader at the front of the bus to enjoy a maximum saving of $8.4 on the fare.

Details of the new Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Schemes:

For example, passengers travelling from Cheung Sha Wan (Hoi Ying Estate) to Kowloon City can take Route 296C [Sheung Tak ⇋ Cheung Sha Wan (Hoi Ying Estate)] and receive a $1.4 fare rebate simply by tapping their Octopus card or scanning the QR code when boarding, then validating again with the same payment method when alighting at Kowloon City Bus-Bus Interchange – Regal Oriental Hotel. For passengers taking Route 296D [Sheung Tak ⇋ Kowloon Station] to travel from West Kowloon Cultural District to Tsim Sha Tsui, they can enjoy a HK$1.8 saving using the same method. Moreover, passengers along Tai Wo Service Road West can also benefit from the sectional fare with more travelling options when commuting to Tai Wo Station during morning peak hours.

KMB is planning to expand the Regional Short-haul Two-way Section Fare Scheme to more areas, pending approval from the Transport Department. This will allow passengers to enjoy even more convenient, comfortable, and efficient bus services.

The 59th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo (“HKBPE”) will be held at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay from 13 December, 2025 to 5 January, 2026. The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has a number of routes observing the venue to facilitate citizens and tourists going to the HKBPE for a shopping spree.

Recommended routes to HKBPE at Victoria Park:

LWB Route A33 to extend to HZMB Hong Kong Port starting Monday to mark complete integration of all A-Routes with HZMB offering a more convenient way to travel to Macau and Zhuhai

Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is enhancing Route A33 [Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)] by extending its service to the Hong Kong Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (“HZMB”) starting Monday (15 December). This marks the complete integration of all 16 LWB A-Routes with HZMB, offering convenient bus services between various districts in the New Territories and HZMB Hong Kong Port.

Beginning Monday (15 December), LWB Route A33 will add “HZMB Passenger Clearance Building” and “HZMB Hong Kong Port” stops in both directions respectively. KMB launches Route B1 Tin Shui Wai Special Departure skipping Yuen Long and travelling directly to Lok Ma Chau Futian Port

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is introducing Route B1 Special Departure [Tin Tsz → Lok Ma Chau Station (Futian)] starting this Saturday (13 December). The new service operates every weekend and on public holidays in the morning. After departing from Tin Shui Wai, it travels non-stop to San Tin Huang Bus Station and Lok Ma Chau Station. On the same day, the first departure of Route B1 regular services will also be advanced, offering a faster and more convenient option for passengers to travel to and from Shenzhen via Lok Ma Chau Futian Port.

The new B1 Special Departure departs from Tin Tsz Estate, passes through several Tin Shui Wai neighborhoods, and goes directly to San Tin and Lok Ma Chau Station without stopping in Yuen Long. The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will strengthen the service of KMB routes observing Pak Shing Kok and add the new “The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong” Bus Stop from 9 December (Tuesday) onwards to facilitate passengers travelling to and from the newly opened The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong.

Located at Pak Shing Kok, The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (“CMHHK”) will commence services in phases from 11 December (Thursday). CMHHK will provide outpatient and day-patient service at the beginning and then expand to full inpatient services, further promoting the development of Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong by leading the way for Chinese Medicine services to go beyond primary healthcare and play a part in secondary and tertiary healthcare services. “Heartbeat of the City” Caring for Tai Po KMB donates all “Pet Bus Tour” revenue in December to support post-fire veterinary needs

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is profoundly saddened by the loss caused by the Grade 5 fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. KMB is not only concerned for the families and residents by providing supports but also heartbroken for many animals injured, killed, or left frightened and displaced. KMB understands that many people consider pets are part of the family. KMB will donate all revenue generated from the “Pet Bus Tour” in December 2025 to three animal protection organisations to support animals affected by the fire.

The three animal protection organisations include (in no particular order): House of Joy & Mercy, The Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and HK Saving Cat and Dog Association. The revenue donated by the “Pet Bus Tour” will support emergency treatment, rehabilitation, ongoing care for affected animals,  providing medical supplies and shelters to ensure that these animals can gradually recover step by step with the assistance of professional teams and live a peaceful life.

KMB's 'Pet Bus Tour' has been dedicated to promoting pet-friendly travel and building an inclusive community. Throughout December, every journey taken with your furry companion becomes a tangible act of support—spreading warmth to every life in need.

“Heartbeat of the City” Caring for Tai Po, KMB and LWB donate HK$2M to support victims of the Wang Fuk Court fire in Tai Po

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) and Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) are profoundly saddened by the loss of life and injuries caused by the Grade 5 fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. KMB and LWB pay their highest tribute to the brave firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty, and extend the deepest condolences to the affected families during this most difficult time.

To support those impacted by this tragedy, KMB and LWB will donate HK$2 million through the “KMB Charity Foundation”, providing financial assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, as well as helping the victims navigate through this challenging period.

Additionally, KMB and LWB will launch an internal employee fundraising campaign, urging staff to extend their support to those affected by the tragic fire at Wang Fuk Court and contribute to the relief efforts. Furthermore, KMB’s volunteer team "Friends of KMB" (FRN) has proactively reached out to volunteer organisation to arrange appropriate assistance to those affected.

KMB and LWB stand in solidarity with every citizen affected by this devastating fire, and through this donation, KMB and LWB hope to provide meaningful support to those in need. KMB and LWB remain committed to the principle of “Heartbeat of the City”, particularly in our concern for Tai Po during this period.

(“KMB”) is introducing all-new Route 270E [Tsim Sha Tsui (Mody Road) → Fanling (Luen Wo Hui)] starting next Monday (17 November), offering an express service from Yau Tsim Mong to Sheung Shui every night. The estimated journey time from Mong Kok to Ching Ho Estate in Sheung Shui will take about 30 minutes only, offering passengers from the Northern District a convenient and comfortable bus ride home after work or leisure in the Yau Tsim Mong area in the evenings.

The Safety Bus of The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will meet the public again this Tuesday (28 October) in the “Safety Bus Halloween Special” event to celebrate Halloween. Come join us in Sham Shui Po (Yen Chow Street) Bus Terminus for some trick-or-treat fun! Other than the Safety Bus with the theme of “Stop, Look, Listen and Give Way” that will be open for public visits to promote road safety and proper bus etiquette, participants can also get a souvenir by posting photos with the Safety Bus on social media, while stocks last!

Details of the event:

No prior registration or reservation is needed for the event. Participants can board the Safety Bus and learn about the importance of holding handrails and wearing seat belts while riding the bus through interactive games. They can also gain an understanding of vehicle blind spots to be more cautious when crossing roads, as well as bus-riding etiquette, such as waving for boarding the bus and keeping the bus compartment clean, making the experience both educational and fun.

The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited ("KMB"), together with Hoi Tai Tours, have launched the ‘Pet Bus Tour’ to make it easier than ever for pets and their owners to travel comfortably and directly to various pet-friendly destinations across Hong Kong. Starting from 3 October, a new stop at the Hong Kong Palace Museum will be added to four Pet Bus routes, offering pet lovers and their furry companions a seamless, direct ride to one of the city’s pet-friendly hotspots — the West Kowloon Cultural District (“WestK”). With the brand-new "WestK Pet Club" recently opened and a three-day "WestK Pet Club Pawrade" being held from 4 to 6 October, to support this festive event, KMB will increase the frequency of the four Pet Bus routes during the weekend, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable journey for all passengers, furry friends included, to the "WestK Pet Club".

KMB understands the importance of accessible travel for both pets and their owners, and is committed to removing barriers in pet travel and enhancing pet-inclusive mobility across the city through the "Pet Bus Tour." Currently, KMB offers four Pet Bus routes for passengers to travel from areas such as Yuen Long, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Sham Tseng, Central, and more to the popular pet-friendly hub in WestK. From 20 September (Saturday) onwards, Route W4 [HSR (West Kowloon Station) – Hong Kong Palace Museum (Circular)] will be extended to Tsim Sha Tsui. Departing from the HSR West Kowloon Station, the new Route W4 first observes the West Kowloon Cultural District (“WKCD”), then travel along Canton Road to Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East, linking several major attractions in both the WKCD and Tsim Sha Tsui in just one route. Route W4 operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays. The new season of the HKPL has kicked off with Eastern District Sports Association successfully promoted. The football club will play matches against Kitchee and Hong Kong Football Club on 14 and 20 September respectively at their home ground. To facilitate fans to return to Kowloon after the games, KMB will introduce Special Route 118R [Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground → Mong Kok] to provide direct service to Cross Harbour Tunnel Bus-Bus Interchange (“BBI”), Yau Ma Tei, and Mong Kok, departing approximately 15 minutes after the match ends.

Meet KMB Safety Bus and learn about road safety and bus-riding etiquette in the Back to School special event on Friday after school in Tsz Wan Shan

The “Safety Bus@Tuen Mun” held previously at Tuen Mun Central Bus Terminus was warmly received by the public. Following the success of the event and students returning to school, the Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will organise “Safety Bus – Back to School” special event this Friday (12 September) at Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus to promote road safety and proper bus etiquette among students. The Safety Bus with the theme of “Stop, Look, Listen and Give Way” will be open for public visits with souvenirs for participants. Students are welcome to come along with their friends and parents to enhance their road safety awareness.

Details of the event

No prior registration or reservation is needed for the event. Participants can board the Safety Bus and learn about the importance of holding handrails and wearing seat belts while riding the bus through interactive games. They can also gain an understanding of vehicle blind spots to be more cautious when crossing roads, as well as bus-riding etiquette, such as waving for boarding the bus and keeping the bus compartment clean. Participants will also receive a commemorative gift*, making the experience both educational and fun.

Departing from the Star Ferry, this route connects travellers to a multitude of must-see attractions, offering a captivating perspective of the city’s stunning scenery that delights many. Mrs Angelina Cheung, Commissioner for Tourism and Ms Joanne Chu, Deputy Commissioner for Tourism, visited Route HK1 Bus Terminus at Star Ferry to explore KMB’s latest tourists service and gain deeper insights into the sightseeing activities of visitors. They also enjoyed a ride on KMB’s open-top double-decker, experiencing the unique charm of Route HK1 first hand. Mrs Angelina Cheung remarked on the route's appeal to tourists, echoing the initiative of ‘tourism is everywhere’.

The livery of the ‘KMB TOUR HK' open-top double-deckers fleet on Recreation Route HK1 features various iconic designs of Hong Kong's franchised buses from different eras. Departing from Star Ferry, the Route offers passengers a comprehensive view of some of Hong Kong's landmarks and attractions, taking tourists on a journey to discover and experience the West Kowloon Cultural District, Temple Street, Nathan Road, Lung Cheung Road Lookout, Wong Tai Sin Temple and Avenue of Stars. With the KMB Tourist Day Pass Premium, travellers can enjoy unlimited rides on over 480 KMB and LWB routes within 24 hours, including the Open-top Bus HK1. One can make good use of the hop-on hop-off strategy to get off at the nearby attractions and board at the same stop again to continue their sightseeing journey.  

Mrs Angelina Cheung and Ms Joanne Chu, both visited the open-top double-deckers Route HK1’s bus terminus at Star Ferry. They were introduced to KMB's efforts to promote tourism and the operational details of Route HK1 by Mr. Roger Lee, KMB Managing Director and some company representatives. The terminus features mega information panels to inform travellers about schedules, fares, attractions along the route, and popular photo spots. Mrs Angelina Cheung also engaged with KMB staff to learn about how they introduce the Route to tourists and facilitate their boarding arrangements.

Following the chat, the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner for Tourism boarded a KMB open-top bus alongside representatives from KMB. They enjoyed a 360-degree view of the city's landmarks, passing iconic sites such as the Xiqu Centre, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Mei Ho House, and the former North Kowloon Magistracy. As the sun set, they were treated to breath-taking views from Lung Cheung Road, overlooking the entire Kowloon Peninsula and the northern shores of Hong Kong Island.

Commissioner for Tourism: Transportation is pivotal for tourists’ travel experience; and the HK1 Open-top Buses offer unmatched appeal

After their journey on the open-top bus, Mrs Angelina Cheung talked to the bus captain and gained insights into the interactions between KMB frontline staff and the tourists, as well as feedback on their favourite attractions. LWB Route A43P adds special departures for Queen’s Hill and all trips stop at HZM Bridge Hong Kong Port

Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) has been closely monitoring the travelling needs of the residents at Queen’s Hill. To further enhance its service, starting on 25 August (Monday), Route A43P [Fanling (Luen Wo Hui) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)] will add special departures to and from Queen’s Hill, providing residents with suitable and convenient travel options for commuting. On the same day, all trips of Route A43P will also stop at the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (“HZMB”), making travel to and from the airport, Macau, or Zhuhai equally convenient.

Starting next Monday (25 August), LWB Route A43P [Fanling (Luen Wo Hui) ⇋ Airport (Ground Transportation Centre)] will arrange special departures observing Queen’s Hill in the morning and afternoon peak hours. Special departures in the morning will start from the Queen’s Hill Bus Terminus, observing the newly added stops at Shan Lai Court, Lung Yeuk Tau and On Lok Tsuen before returning to the original route. Afternoon special departures will depart from the Airport, following the original route to Luen Wo Hui Bus Terminus, then observing Lung Ma Road and Shan Lai Court before returning to the Queen’s Hill Bus Terminus. From the same day, Route A43P will observe HZMB Hong Kong Port all day, further strengthening the connection between the North District and the HZMB Hong Kong Port. Details are as follows:

To enable the elderly to enjoy the ride with the furry companions at a more affordable fare, KMB has introduced a half-price fare concession for seniors on the ‘Pet Bus Tour’. Seniors aged 65 or above can benefit from a 50% off* on ticket prices as well as half-price discount on the ‘Pet Bus Tour Monthly Pass’.

Starting today (20 September), eligible seniors can register via the KMB mobile application APP1933. The ticket price for one senior and one pet is $30, while for two seniors and one pet, it’s $45. The Monthly Pass is priced at $50 for one senior and one pet, and $75 for two seniors and one pet, applicable for journeys starting this Friday (22 September).

KMB “Safety Bus@Tuen Mun” x “Recruitment Day” on Tuesday to promote road and bus safety

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. ( “KMB” ) is dedicated to promoting road and bus safety to its passengers by arranging the Safety Bus with the theme of “Stop, Look, Listen and Give Way” to visit different communities and schools regularly. On Tuesday (12 August), KMB Safety Bus will visit Tuen Mun Central Bus Terminus, with interactive games to educate the public about proper etiquette when travelling on buses and road safety practices. The first 80 participants* will also receive a Safety Bus goodie bag. Parents are welcome to bring their children along to enhance their road safety awareness.

KMB is also recruiting a number of frontline positions on that day, including Bus Captains, Skilled Workers and Skilled Assistants. Employment information, such as job requirements and attractive benefits packages including but not limited to free bus pass and dependent passes that can be used on bus routes operated by three franchised bus companies, medical insurance covering clinic and hospital treatments and year-end double pay are provided to the participants. On-site job interviews will be arranged for applicants, while a driving test will be offered to Bus Captain applicants during the event to provide a one-stop recruitment service for those who wish to join the KMB family. Please remember to bring your ID photo, resume, academic qualifications and proof of employment for the on-site job interview. A valid driving license is also required for Bus Captain applicants.

No prior registration or reservation is needed for the event. Participants can board the Safety Bus and learn about the importance of holding handrails and wearing seat belts while riding the bus through interactive games. They can also gain an understanding of vehicle blind spots to be more cautious when crossing roads, as well as bus-riding etiquette, such as waving for boarding the bus and keeping the bus compartment clean, combining learning and fun in one experience.

*Participants must correctly answer a randomly selected question to receive a goodie bag. Only one bag per person, while supplies last.

Long Win special bus service arrangements for music shows and activities at AWE in August

To tie in with concerts and activities held at AsiaWorld-Expo (“AWE”) in August, Long Win Bus Co. Ltd. (“LWB”) is arranging seven Airport “A” Routes to observe AWE and operating five express dispersal routes to facilitate passengers going to and from the venue. Departures of seven LWB Airport A-routes in designated periods will observe AWE to facilitate passengers going to the venue on the event dates. Passengers from other districts may interchange to these seven routes at Lantau Link BBI or Tuen Mun - Chek Lap Kok Tunnel BBI.

KMB to operate seven special routes to cater for Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 at Kai Tak Sports Park

To tie in with the dispersal arrangement of Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 at Kai Tak Sports Park on 26 and 31 July (Saturday and Thursday), The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) will operate 7 special routes for passengers. After the event, passengers can travel directly to different areas, or transfer to other KMB routes at various Bus-Bus Interchanges (“BBIs”). Designated route combinations will enjoy free second trip fares. Also, Route SP12 offers a direct service to the San Tin Huang Bus Station, allowing citizens to transfer to the Lok Ma Chau – Huanggang Shuttle Bus (“Huang Bus”) to Shenzhen.

Special routes cover all districts in Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Territories and also the San Tin Huang Bus Station for interchange to Shenzhen

To facilitate audiences travelling to various districts after the event, KMB will operate 7 special routes that will depart from the Sung Wong Toi Road Special Bus Pick-up/Drop-off Area (near Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground) about 15 minutes after the event finishes.. These routes cover different locations in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories, as well as the San Tin Huang Bus Station.

Free interchange to various KMB Routes and KMB Monthly Pass and Tourist Day Pass are accepted

Routes SP1, SP3, SP5A, SP6 and SP7 observe various BBIs, where passengers interchanging to designated KMB routes may enjoy free interchange discounts. Furthermore, KMB Monthly Pass is accepted on all routes, including KMB departures of Route SP10 and SP12, offering passengers a more easy and convenient way to travel to different districts. Also, KMB ”Tourist Day Pass” has been extended to “Huang Bus”. Passengers with ”Tourist Day Pass” can take unlimited rides within 24 hours after activating the day ticket on more than 450 routes of KMB, Long Win(except routes K12. K14, K17 and K18) and Huang Bus, so passengers can enjoy discounts and convenience.

Historic KMB Route 6 goes full retro this weekend with “Free Ride Days for Kids” themed bus pop-up event at Star Ferry this Sunday

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) is deploying retro-style buses with livery of the classic “Black-Mouthed Dog” Daimler A onto century-old Route 6 [Lai Chi Kok ⇋ Star Ferry] this weekend (26 and 27 July)*, recreating scenes from the 1950s when Hong Kong’s first double-decker buses travelled along Nathan Road and terminated at the iconic Star Ferry Pier in Tsim Sha Tsui.

27 July is also one of the event dates for the Free Ride Days for Kids by KMB. On that day, the “Free Ride Days for Kids” themed bus will make a flash appearance in Star Ferry Bus Terminus in the afternoon, offering festive summer vibes and limited-edition gifts to the public, while stocks last!

Livery of “Black-Mouthed Dog” reappears on historic KMB Route 6 to bring you back to the 1950s

KMB was founded in 1933, evolving from the former The Kowloon Motor Bus Company which operated four routes in the 1920s, including one between Tsim Sha Tsui and Lai Chi Kok. The route was continued to be operated by KMB in 1933, after the bus franchise was granted, but was temporarily suspended during World War II. Following the liberation of Hong Kong, KMB resumed the service and numbered it as Route 6, which has since been running to this day. In 1949, KMB introduced Hong Kong’s first double-decker buses — the iconic “Black-Mouthed Dog” Daimler A—which once served this very route.

The history of the Star Ferry Bus Terminus in Tsim Sha Tsui dates back to the early 20th century, with routes departing and terminating there. Both The Kowloon Motor Bus Company and KMB later operated many routes with this as the terminus. Before the Cross Harbor Tunnel existed, citizens travelling between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island would have to take a bus to the Star Ferry Pier, then hopping onto a ferry. Even today, it is still one of Hong Kong’s busiest bus terminus.

On this Saturday and Sunday (26 and 27 July), KMB will deploy retro-style buses with livery of the classic “Black-Mouthed Dog” Daimler A onto this century-old Route 6*, offering a nostalgic experience that recreates the 1950s scene of KMB’s first batch of double-deckers passing through the historic Star Ferry Bus Terminus in Tsim Sha Tsui, becoming a must-visit photo hotspot for locals and tourists alike.

* Other buses may also be deployed due to operational needs without prior notice.

Take Route 6 to tour Sham Shui Po from Tsim Sha Tsui

Route 6 travels along the entire Nathan Road, weaving through core areas of Kowloon like Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. Passengers can taste local delicacies and visit vibrant attractions along the way. Starting from Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, the bus passes major shopping centres and the Park Lane Shopper’s Boulevard —a hotspot for retail therapy. In Yau Ma Tei, passengers can visit Temple Street, often dubbed the “local nightclub” where they can enjoy famous claypot rice or indulge in nostalgic Hong Kong street snacks in the night market during the evening hours. Mong Kok tempts visitors with a variety of local bites, and shopping havens like Tung Choi Street (Ladies' Market) that are must-visits for shopaholics.

After leaving Nathan Road, Route 6 then heads into Sham Shui Po and Mei Foo.  There is an ice skating rink in Sham Shui Po that offers a chance to cool down in this hot summer time. Alternatively, passengers can hunt for treasures among street stalls at Ap Liu Street (Electronics Street) and Fuk Wing Street (Toy Street). Near sunset, visitors can climb Garden Hill for a stunning view of the golden hour. Those with a passion for arts and culture can hop off at the Mei Foo Bus-Bus Interchange to visit the Jao Tsung-I Academy, a historic architectural complex that doubles as a fantastic spot for photos.

On that day, the “Free Ride Days for Kids” themed bus will make a flash appearance in Star Ferry Bus Terminus in the afternoon. Locals and tourists alike can visit to take photos with the bus and themed props, celebrating the arrival of summer together.

This year, KMB’s “Free Ride Days for Kids” has returned. On the 10 Sundays and Public Holidays from 1 July to 31 August, kids can enjoy unlimited free rides on KMB and LWB routes, except Routes K12, K14, K17 and K18. Children between the ages of 3 and 11 should tap their Child Octopus card on that day. The amount deducted for such Octopus transactions will be set at $0 on those days. So be sure to ride with KMB and LWB with your families and enjoy summer outings together!

KMB ‘Pet Bus Tour’ introduces new routes to Stanley, Sham Tseng and To Kwa Wan 'Memory Lane' on APP1933 to unite compassionate pet lovers

The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd. (“KMB”) has co-organised the ‘Pet Bus Tour’ with Hoi Tai Tours, designed to enhance the travel experience for pet owners and their beloved companions. This initiative aims to facilitate enjoyable outings, allowing pets and their owners to cherish quality time together. Commencing this Saturday (19 July), the ‘Pet Bus Tour’ will unveil new routes with new boarding and alighting points, such as To Kwa Wan, Sham Tseng and Stanley. Meanwhile, a weekday route has also been introduced for pet owners to enjoy ‘Happy Fridays’ with their beloved furry friends. Complementing this with the new ‘Pet Bus Tour Monthly Pass’, it has further underscored KMB’s commitment to promoting Hong Kong as a pet-friendly city.  Additionally, starting next Monday (21 July), KMB’s mobile application APP1933 will feature ‘Pet Bus Memory Lane’, allowing owners to upload and share delightful moments of their pets during outings, fostering a sense of community among pet lovers.

Enhanced routes for the "Pet Bus Tour" launching on 19 July with new Monthly Pass

KMB’s ‘Pet Bus Tour’ operates every Saturday, Sunday and designated public holidays, departing from various locations, heading to four popular pet-friendly spots such as GO PARK Sai Sha, the West Kowloon Cultural District (“WKCD”), North Point 'East Coast Boardwalk,' and Ma Wan. Starting this Saturday (19 July), the ‘Pet Bus Tour’ will include new boarding and alighting points, extending its reach to To Kwa Wan, Sham Tseng, Stanley, Repulse Bay and The Mills, providing greater accessibility to pet owners from different areas.

Additionally, KMB has already added a weekday route to the ‘Pet Bus Tour’, operating every Friday between Tsuen Wan and Tsim Sha Tsui, traversing Mei Foo, Olympic, and WKCD, so pet owners can enjoy ‘Happy Fridays’ with their beloved pets. Alongside the new ‘Pet Bus Tour Monthly Pass’ priced at $100 for one person and one pet, or HK$150 for two people and one pet, owners can enjoy unlimited rides with their pets within 30 days, offering exceptional value and convenience!

Starting today, ticket booking for Pet Bus is available on APP1933. Passengers can click the ‘Pet Bus’ option on the bottom right ‘catalogue’, select ‘details’ and pick the route and date of the tours, and follow the instructions to make payment.
