I'm glad there are some ports out there, and excited for a 2023 version with PCVR support - but man, I wish there was a legit 2026 copy of just Paintball as an app we could buy. I'd literally toss $200 at that app. Some mini games like Laser Tag, Dodge Ball and so on would be awesome, but my addiction was Paintball. Can't imagine weekends without the laughs and smiles - so ports it is for now.

How do you think the topic of the "remakes" should be approached in this sub? Can we post screenshots and stuff here, keeping support and remake info in separate subs? or should we keep this sub fully about the original rec room stuff and the future projects of the devs? I guess my question here is "how should *we* deal with the topic of the "remakes" here?"

I Played Rec Room Since 2019; Enjoyed playing people rooms, but Rec Room has definitely pushed me more onto becoming a future game Developer (Level Designer if you'd like to know!), Understanding the fundamentals of coding, gathering an audience and receiving profit for what they created inside your own game!

With Rec Room Shutting Down, I will look back onto those fondly days and will use my knowledge of game development throughout my teen-hood into University. From the Bottom of my Heart; Thank you for making a Game that has further pushed my potential for my future career, and making a Truly Loved and Cherished game.

Such a shame a great game (100% better then roblox and vrchat imo) has gone. But I'm looking forward to see we're the developers go next and will be making sure to look into there new games..

thanks for the updates gribbly!! just wondering, are any other Rec Room songs going to be released on steaming services? I tried remaking the summer mixtape billehbawb got ~2 years ago, but there was 3 songs missing from volume 87. those were OOBE (Remix), Jumbotron Explore (Remix), and Join the Club (Extended Mix).

also i BARELY use reddit, so sorry with any confusions about this. it'd be cool if other songs could also be released, but idk how doable that is

Thanks for teaching me to be creative Gribbly. You are the reason why I wanna make a game company like you and carry on Rec Rooms legacy by being creative.

I hope maybe someday I will get popular enough for you to experience first hand how much this game inspired people like me.

This game was like no other. Teaching me how to be creative all while wrapping it up in an amazingly fun game with RRO's and the college aesthetic

Easy money for rec room, to create a simple app with just the RRO maps and sell it. You can also sell extra maps like walkabout mini golf or charge people monthly fee to cover your server cost. Why not? As long as it doesn't cost 3 million dollars to make another level next time.

That being said, for these community revival projects, sooner or later, we have to be mentally prepared to donate to keep them running. Free dinner can only last that long. Even Wikipedia has to rely on donation.
