Add 'Why' to navbar
#154
Sometimes I want to see why a post in my subscribed feeds not showing up in the homepage. Having to edit the URL is a small pain that can be relieved with a small tweak

Recommend feeds for specific interests
#153
If you add a new interest and you subscribe to specific feeds, it might be useful for Scour to show you feeds that match that particular interests. Thanks u/unwaivering for

Public user feeds list
#150
I know that a feeds page exists, e.g. https://scour.ing/@tyler/feeds but it seems like it's locked behind a signup gate if you're not logged in. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. A friend was asking me what feeds I subscribe to and I was go

Make feed stop when relevancy is poor
#149
Rather than me make a judgement call about when I've scrolled down too far because all the tagging and recommendations have become nonsense, it'd be nice if scour could just stop to effectively say "this is all I've got for you today".

Browse feeds by category
#146
It would be useful to browse feeds by category, similar to the Browse Interests view. Thanks to Gordon McLean for prompting this idea!

Blocking a domain should hide its feeds too
#147
If you block a domain, you probably don't want to see its feeds recommended or when you're browsing popular feeds. Thanks to Shane Sveller for this feedback

Visual distinction between links that leave vs stay on Scour
#144
UX-wise you might want to have a visual distinction between links that leave the site vs ones that lead to your page of it From Phil Eaton

Signup flow focused on picking topics from a list
#142
it should be more obvious at signup that you can select interests from a list (because I prefer doing that). From Velocifyer

Translate posts
#140
It would be useful to offer the option to translate posts automatically (or with a manual trigger) to a language that you speak. Thanks Wxx for suggesting this!

Interest Reverse Search
#139
It's sort of a game of blind fuzzing to try and figure out how to phrase an interest such that it will get embedded into the cluster of posts that I want to see. It'd be interesting to have a way to give scour a small handful of blog post URLs that

Bluesky fire hose

Have you considered intent filtering the BlueSky firehose? I feel like it could be an interesting source for signal on articles online Thanks to Alex Kesling for this suggestion!
1
Community score mechanism
#118
HN has a score from upvotes and it's a great bit of signal to help tell if something has merit... Granted it's no guarantee but it helps you get a sense of likely value Displaying that kind of thing prominently next to the post would be handy. The

Suppressing factors
#117
I am a big fan of Kagi and the big feature that makes me love them is that you can suppress or nudge down sources you tend to prefer not to see. It actually has a scale, so you can fully block some (eg never ever see w3schools no matter what! ) bu

Interest audit
#114
Came across this section in the newly published docs (screenshot). It made me think "hm are my topics too broad"? Would be cool if Scour could use my response data (link clicks, reactions, other specific topics that are adjacent) to audit and sugges

Browse more than 3 recommended interests

On the Interests page, you can see 3 interest recommendations at a time. It might be nice to have a page where you could see more than just 3 at a time. Thanks to Adam Benenson for this suggestion!

Filter by source posting frequency
#103
It would be useful to be able to filter posts by how frequently the source posts (the feed and/or domain the item comes from). This would make it possible to search only for posts from less-noisy sources like personal blogs, or to exclude small web

Allow interest feeds to be used without being added to a specific user
#97
I'd like to integrate scour.ing with an application that dynamically browses & reads RSS feeds It looks like interests are tied directly to users (there is https://scour.ing/@david/interests/WebAssembly but no https://scour.ing/interests/WebAssembl

Personal Knowledge Management UX

I'd love to see an enhanced UX around the recommended content and reading history. If the content is really good, it won't be single use but will become a reference I return to. It would be nice to be able to search or peruse content I have read org
