This is a real image of a "fumi-e" of the Virgin Mary.
Japanese officials in the 1600s would order Christians to step on the image or face death. Thousands of Christians were martyred for refusing to step on an image of Our Lady.

Since my Sister Claire thread blew up. I want to quickly clarify just to avoid all confusion.
Sister Claire isn’t a real Catholic nun and she isn’t really a Catholic.
She is really nice and *mostly* wholesome.
