OWNERS PLEASE READ!

I have always loved rec room and I have grown up with it. I understand that its shutdown is permanent. Please reconsider your decision. Many people love rec room and get on every day to socialize and enjoy time with their friends. Many people also worked very hard to make their games and even dorms too. Imagine how many people would be disappointed. New players,old players,game creators,Non game creators,content creators, and everyone else who has participated in this game. I know this decision is already made. But please… save rec room… best of wishes to all of you,developers and players. I love you rec room… goodbye…

Rec room, save my life literally

Around 2018 I was very VERY depressed and I was thinking about deleting myself (if you know you know) I’m good now, but rec room helped me through those times and I am just grateful that I did not do something that I would regret in the future,I made friends lots of friends. I actually became happy in rough times I will never forget rec room as one of the greatest games on VR and it allowed me to make so many memories with my friends and my cousins rec room just…. thank you for all of those memories that you helped me make rec room overall I’m gonna miss you. You really helped me through some rough years of my life. thank you from the bottom of my heart seriously thank you I don’t think anything well fill that spot when you’re gone rec room I really am gonna miss you

Graduation

This game has brought me unimaginable joy, just being in the game was fun. So heres a poem I wrote with some help of my friends. The neon glow begins to fade away, The locker rooms are turning off their lights. No more paintball battles left to play, No more climbing up the questing heights. We stood as avatars of blocks and string, And built whole worlds inside a simple space. I never knew how much a game could bring, Until I had to leave this pixel place. The theater lobbies echo with the past, Where friends from everywhere would meet to talk. We always knew the fun could never last, But it still hurts to take this final walk. Goodbye to every room we used to share, The memories are locked inside my mind. A piece of youth is vanishing to air, And leaving all our golden days behind. Goodbye rec room, we will all miss you🌹

Early graduation

I have made over 500 friends over the 5 years I have been on this platform. On the same day, I received my headset. On June 1, 2021, I immediately started playing in the rec room, VRChat, and Beat Saber. Even though the game is being shut down on June 1st 2026, it will still hold a special place in my heart for all the time I have given to this platform. It sucks that school's out and I'm never gonna be able to see some of my friends again. I was willing to test the limits of the rec room, like spamming paint mines and grenades in a special private room. With all my friends trying to try and crash the game, I have never been able to crash it. Now, the servers are shutting down forever on the same day I got my headset. Farewell, time for graduation. I will carry the spirit of rec room in my heart forever.
