DAM × SUPER EIGHT "Yappa, DAM yane!" Commercial Part 2
"Yappa!?" segment begins nationwide broadcast from May 22

DAIICHIKOSHO CO., LTD. (hereinafter "the Company") will begin airing a new commercial featuring SUPER EIGHT, who has served as the official ambassador for DAM since April 2025, starting May 22, 2026.

DAM is widely used at karaoke-equipped stores and facilities nationwide. It provides users with an immersive karaoke experience through a wealth of original music videos, high-quality songs, and diverse content.

The Company has appointed SUPER EIGHT, who enjoys strong support particularly among women, as its official ambassador because their bright and friendly character aligns well with DAM's brand image. By leveraging SUPER EIGHT's positive and energetic power, we aim to highlight DAM's strengths and further promote its use.
Starting with the broadcast of the second TV commercial featuring all five members, various campaigns and sales promotion measures will be rolled out sequentially.

The second TV commercial "Yappa⁉" installment, airing from May 22, comes in six different patterns. Each has a different final cut, including versions with all members and solo versions for each member. The highlights are the various poses performed in sync with the repeated "Yappa" and the final impactful line delivered by each member.
The tie-up commercial song is SUPER EIGHT's new song "Dandara" (digital release on May 28), their first in a year. The newly written lyrics are sprinkled with words that evoke karaoke, allowing viewers to enjoy the song's appeal along with the commercial.

The web movie released simultaneously with the TV commercial features a production focused on each individual member, with five patterns created. In a "facial expression quiz" format distinct from the TV commercial, the content is captivating.

The first commercial installment aired last year solidified the brand image by repeating the simple and direct communication phrase "Yappa, DAM yane!" ("After all, it's DAM!") to convey DAM's presence. The second installment aims to communicate that DAM is a reliable, universal choice for all karaoke users by appealing to DAM's features and recommended content in easy-to-understand terms.

Through promotional activities featuring SUPER EIGHT, we will continue to deliver the appeal of DAM to many people.

■Interview with SUPER EIGHT after Completing the CM Shoot

Q. As the official DAM ambassadors, you have been confirmed to appear in the CM for the second consecutive year. Please share your thoughts now that today's CM shoot is complete.

Yasuda: I'm incredibly happy. The other day, when we went to karaoke for a wrap party, we visited DAM, and they said, 'Sing your own songs,'
and when we sang, our old footage played. I thought there couldn't be anything more luxurious than this, and the people with us were also delighted,
and we were also very happy. Thinking that we can continue to experience this into the second year makes me feel fortunate.

Q. Since becoming an official DAM ambassador, have you had more opportunities to go to karaoke in your private life?

Murakami: I get invited a lot more now. Of course, I can't go to all of them. When I go with friends, I say, 'If we're going, it has to be DAM, I won't go anywhere else.
   That's what I say.

Q. In the commercial, there's a scene where a staff member comes in during karaoke, making it a bit awkward. In your personal life, have you ever felt awkward
in a moment like that?

Maruyama: My regular bar has karaoke, but I often sing and drink alone at the counter. The people in the
booths sometimes sing Eito's songs without knowing I'm there. It makes me happy, but it feels weird to say, 'Oh, hello,'
right? I'm happy about it, so I keep quiet, but later, when they notice and go 'Huh?', that's
a bit awkward. It's a mix of happiness, awkwardness, and embarrassment.

Q. Who is the karaoke champion in SUPER EIGHT?

Okura: Well, it's Maru-chan, isn't it?
Yokoyama: How do you liven things up?
Maruyama: I improvise and throw in call-and-response parts based on the vibe of the moment.
Yokoyama: For example?
Maruyama: For instance, after a line like "Zukkoke Otoko Michi~," I might suddenly jump in during a pause with something like "Hai hai, zukkoke suimahen!"
   That's how it goes.

Okura: It would make me happy if someone did that for me.

Q. Do you have any songs you always sing at karaoke, or a go-to song to end the session?

Yokoyama: We owe a huge debt to Mr.Children. When we went as a group, we almost always included their songs.
Maruyama: For a while, we often ended sessions by everyone singing "WOW WAR TONIGHT ~Toki ni wa Okose yo Movement~."
Yokoyama: Also, Morning Musume.

Q. How about your own songs?

Yokoyama: Songs like "Zukkoke Otoko Michi" and "Musekinin Hero" get requested quite often. They're not exactly our "business card songs," but they are often
   requested.

Maruyama: Sometimes we want to end on a high note, and you can sing them right from the first song.
Murakami: When it's truly the end, like when Yasuda and I went diving in Okinawa, we closed with Momoe Yamaguchi's "Sayonara no Mukougawa" and
   put down the microphone.

Q. Please give a message to the viewers who will watch the commercial.

Yokoyama: Really, going to karaoke deepens bonds. I believe there are connections that can only be born there. As a group, we were like that
too. You naturally put your arms around each other's shoulders, and the distance shrinks. If you have something bothering you, please go to karaoke together. Anything
But it can be resolved. For now, let's go to karaoke.

■ Filming episodes

This commercial was filmed at one of our company-operated stores, which was rented out exclusively for the shoot. Before filming began, Mr. Maruyama's singing in the karaoke room prepared as a waiting area eased the tense atmosphere on set, allowing the main shoot to start in a calm mood.

When filming the lively karaoke scene, the members were seen making funny faces right before the camera rolled to elicit laughter, and even after a cut, they maintained the afterglow of the excitement, showing an attitude of genuinely enjoying the performance beyond mere acting. When Mr. Yokoyama accidentally slipped into Kansai dialect in his line and was corrected by the director, he instantly switched to standard Japanese, skillfully handling the situation and earning admiration from the staff around him.
In the singing scene, Mr. Okura sang out loud with all his might, creating an expression full of realism, while Mr. Murakami, when requested by the director for 'a slightly more subdued version too,' muttered 'smaller movements are harder,' yet skillfully performed both variations.

When recording a brief comment for the web movie, Mr. Yasuda was particular about his exclamation 'Ah~,' re-recording the audio-only portion multiple times until he was satisfied. There was also a scene where Mr. Murakami himself suggested, 'If it's a tone like muttering to oneself, wouldn't 'Yappa, nakama tte saiko ya na' sound more natural than 'Yappa, nakama tte saiko ya ne'?' His opinion was adopted, and the shoot proceeded with a single take, showcasing flexible responses backed by experience.

During the shoot, there were moments like everyone teasing Mr. Maruyama's impersonation of Yosui Inoue, making it a filming session where the seasoned five members' composure and playfulness were felt throughout. While enjoying the set from start to finish, they approached the filming with high concentration.
SUPER EIGHT approached it this way. That very atmosphere is packed into the commercial as its charm.
