I understand that getting funding for indie games has become an uphill battle of late, but I don't this campaign adequately responded to those challenges. On twitter I hardly saw any promotion for this campaign outside of the Future Club account. I understand not having access to the SkullGirls' social media accounts to tap into your former audience is a hurdle, but it went beyond that. Some accounts who are a part of Future Club only did one retweet at the start of the campaign, and others didn't even acknowledge it at all! The current situation with social media platforms is not pleasant, but your campaign was literally selling itself short by leaving out large portions of your audience in the dark.
On the campaign itself, I was disappointed by the lack of creator credits. I wholeheartedly support many of Future Club's creators from their time creating Indivisible, SkullGirls, and beyond, but not knowing who contributed to Part-Time Hero as creator/artist/writer/etc made it hard for me to get very attached to this project. I hope Part-Time Hero can find life in another medium such a graphic novel, because I did find the scenario novel and the artstyle appealing. Even if Future Club as a group goes on hiatus because of this campaign not succeeding, I will continue to support many of the creators who I have been following since the days of SkullGirls.

If you guys do decide to give crowdfunding this another go later on, got a few suggestions.
First off it would be better to directly promote the game before the campaign. Like showing off the characters and the setting a month or two in advance would help. The concept art's been neat but think of how much more attached people would be with like a little comic thing of just sketchy one or two panels to show who these characters and how they interact.
Second, lean more into past work. I know there's been plenty of issues with the LabZero days, but it would help build more faith in the project if people heard "We have veterans in the industry who have worked on all these games!" Maybe include some key devs in the video or somewhere on the page as right now it's easy to miss that quick blur near the bottom and right now it's easy for folks to think this is a new studio with only greenhouse.
Third, could include goals for the game's funding. Helps put fire under some people's butts seeing even if the game gets bare minimum funding it would miss out on neat stuff like voice acting or something.
Finally, the most resource heavy one so understand why you wouldn't, but a demo can always impress. Again only if there's enough to show the game decently.
I do hope you guys try again and are successful second time round. I'm rooting for you!

I can definitely understand why people might hesitate with backing this, given the unfortunate history Lab Zero has had with its projects. But I loved Skullgirls (and Indivisible to a lesser extent) so I really hope you guys can really show us a good time

So one of the games I backed a bit ago didn't succeed the first time around. Don't be discouraged. If it's at all feasable, maybe prep a vertical slice, a demo for the game that people can try and get a feel for. It's helped a good chunk of games I've seen here get funding.

I'm referring to Unbeatable, they tried once in 2019 and then they came back a bit later with a new campaign and a demo and managed to get funding the second time around. Sometimes you really do need just a second swing at the plate.

Yeah I think this project would do better if they had a demo and more marketing, like with content creators and stuff
Of course that’s easier said than done with the economics of it :/

Was also an Unbeatable backer the second time around, I think the demo and its social media marketing (such as releasing the Demo Tapes) really helped. Maybe the same could happen for this as well!

I hope you can contact a streamer or some internet personality that can make this Kickstarter known. Right now even knowing of it existence is hard. Good luck!

Maybe we could try reaching out to Kiana Khansmith, who created the 'Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want To Be A Magical Girl' pilot for some cross promotion? Maybe work something out as a crossover in game for a stretch goal or something? I know it's not that simple, but both the game and the pilot are "magical girl with a twist" projects so it could be worth looking into?
Just really would hate to see this project go under without trying any options that are plausible

Will it be possible to redeem the digital artbook/OST/Wallpaper through Steam? Would appreciate it as an option.
