I don't think this needs an explanation, but i see both sides over and over. I don't know why nobody gets this isn't about any gender. Yes, i and most guys know the patriarchal system had been a nightmare for women for centuries. They were treated and unfairly, and i get the frustration. The thing i don't know is why guys are getting the hate and frustration for the things their ancestors settled and did. I'm not saying there's no bad males out there. There's a lot of bad people. Or any women getting called names because some fellow woman did something bad. It's not about the gender. The fact is, at least in my opinion, the majority of people are bad. No matter what the gender you want to take a glimpse, you're going to see a majority of bad people. So reducing this fact to a gender matter and labeling another gender evil is just pointless and creates arguments where people dump their misogyny or hate on each other.
This is the logic of those people

I don't know what insightful thing you're looking for in a subreddit that's about hating things. I said that doesn't need an explanation at the beginning of the post. I just saw the comment and wanted to rant about it.

At this point the internet is nothing but a social experiment with each post testing to pin two groups against each other. Race wars, gender wars, political wars... at this point I just assume it's all engagement bait and that no one who is worth talking to in person unironically believes these generalizations.
I kinda have this disagreement with r/4Bmovement because there was a person commenting about how women can't comprehend a " predators mindset " because they don't have the hormones, and I just find that a very dangerous rhetoric, imo.
Edit: changes just in case I'm misremembering the mods for an OP of a post engaging with said comment since it was an old post. The primary point is that I do not agree with said stand and it was odd to me to see it on a subreddit. That cause me to mute it completely, so I recommend to the people reading it and in case they also find some takes to be dangerous rhetorics or are just against bioessentialism that may be present in some posts of the sub, or even just don't like the subreddit to mute it as well.

People are just really stupid and stubborn. People are upset about things rightfully so but they demonize a completely unrelated part of the bad person. That or they’re just genuinely hateful. A lot of the reason people blame immigrants for stuff is because they’re upset with criminals so they associate criminals and immigrants because people say so despite immigrants not committing more crimes than normal citizens

I mean they aren't entirely wrong. There is a double standard when it comes to the presumption of guilt. It's one of the reasons why the Women are Wonderful Effect is what it is.
That said, it's too wide of a generalisation to blanket apply to everyone.

My gripe with this post is just how you are saying that the patriarchy is in the past and that it’s over. Misogyny is institutionalized and still affects many people on every part of the gender spectrum. It’s not something that is totally over, or was in the past. Yes, statements generalizing a group of people are bad, but the patriarchy is still very much a part of the society you live in.
Some people are kinda stubborn and that's it, don't stress so much about it.
Extremes always tend to suck, people should stop choosing white or blacks since grays are whats closer to "balance", "equity", whatever you wanna call it
I wish when people were raving on about "performative feminism" a few months back, they were talking about people with this fucking mindset instead of, like, men who read in public.
These people love to virtue signal, but then they immediately become pro-sexism as soon as it benefits them. They call themselves "feminists" on their bios, but as far as they're concerned, the word "feminst" doesn't mean anything to them. It's just a fancy buzzword you sprinkle on your profile to make it fancier.
The world has gotten so vast that everyone can only ever see an extremely small subset of the truth and extrapolate it to every case to exist.

I've seen enough people believe someone is guilty even when the accuser admits they made it the fuck up that "guilty until proven innocent" really means "guilty in perpetuity."

The base mindset is that "I've heard about it a few times so it must be true." Beyond anything else, this is our problem.
that's the whole point my friend, regardless of which side, all they want to do is keep the argument going to them any attention is good attention, the most recent case of this mindset was the door dash lady.
