Completely ridiculous. It's not like you took the entire video and reposted it, only speeding it up or adding music or an AI voice-over. You did commentary on it and showed your reactions, transforming it into new content. And, you gave credit to the original.
Ai (that was trained on all publicly visible content irrespective of ownership and copyright laws) deciding when and where copyright/fair use/etc. apply is the wildest of dystopian concepts realities
Copyright law says if you transform the video by using it for critique, educational purposes or commentary it’s protected by law. At least here in the US
I don't get it. Commentary is adding additional content to the video which is the definition of not copyrighting. The video was also posted publicly which means it is free to use so long as it isn't straight-up copied without credit.
Actually, I think it’s YouTube who needs to learn how fair use works, or at least who or what is in charge of moderation. One of these days, someone will take them to court over it
