Oakwood is an American emo band based in Austin, Texas.[2] The band consists of vocalist Mathew Dwyer, bassist and guitarist TJ James and drummer Noah Roots.[3]

After releasing their debut self titled EP in 2013 and Summer in 2015, the band failed to gain much traction and disbanded. Several years later the track "I'm Still Cheering for the 1980 US Hockey Team" gained popularity online, causing the trio to reunite. In October 2025, they released the single "Footnote", their first release since re-forming. In spring 2026, they announced their debut album Blurred Away was set to be released on May 29. The album includes two other singles: "A Tangled Mess" and "Fields Behind the House".[4]
