That makes sense — I get what you're saying. I’m not trying to be fully industrial, more like sitting somewhere between industrial elements and alternative rock.
Interesting that you mention The Pretty Reckless — I can see where that comes from.Still figuring out where it fits, so I appreciate the perspective.
Hey — I’m an independent artist from Japan.
This track “STEP BETWEEN US” is part of a project where I’m mixing industrial rock textures with more modern melodic elements.
I was aiming for a kind of “disconnected” emotional space — something intense, but never fully resolving.
Influences include darker alt-rock sounds, but I’m trying to push it into a slightly more modern direction.
Would really appreciate honest feedback:
- Does the atmosphere work?
- How does the balance between heavy and melodic feel?
- Anything that stands out (good or bad)
日本語もOKです。
I wrote this track as a mix of industrial rock and modern dark pop.
The idea was to capture that unstable emotional space “between people” —
where things feel intense but never fully connect.
This is part of a larger project I’m building (music + visuals).
Would really appreciate honest feedback — especially on the composition and overall vibe.
