They are struggling for staff for a reason. Service industry in hotels is particularly hard, and it gets worse the higher end you get.
However the mariott perks are very good. As the boyfriend of someone who works at those mariott hotels, I get to enjoy the perks, but I also see how hell it is.
Colleagues of my GF are regularly send to that specific nikko hotel, because there is a chronic shortage of staff.
Did you read my comment ? I said "the new requirement for business manager visa is 3.000.000 yen" I do not say fee, I am talking about the capital requirements, implied in the word "requirement"
By doing you research I supposed you noticed that you were wrong about PR fees and that it is indeed going to be 200.000 yen going forward.
Looking forward to your apologies.
There is probably some thing like theoretical biology (idk) but the main point of why theoretical physics is big is that it is possible to just use pure math to do predictions in physics, as the systems involved are simple enough to be modeled mathematically.
In biology its not really possible in the same way, you can't mathematically go from atoms molecules to complex biological systems.
Of course there is plenty of work being done trying, using computer models to do research, using a lot of statistics.
But you can't do like einstein and revolutionise the field with a though experiment and maths.
the idea of theoretical physics is to do math and though experiments to predict stuff, which is not rly possible in the same way in biology.
And thats the fascinating part about biology: systems are so complex we still know so little about them, a lot is still there to be discovered.
Quantum fields are a mathematical object, essentially a classical field that has been quantized.
The electromagnetic field in real life is actually a quantum field, and when you take its quanta you get a photon.
You also have the electron field, neutrino field, one field per fundamental particles, as fundamental particles are just quantas of that field. Which explains why all fundamental particles are indistinguishable from each other with the same mass and properties.
Antiparticles are the complex conjugate of the particle, so its the same field. Having an antiparticle or not thus depends on the field.
They hate this one trick: Ventilation
leave two windows slightly open to create an air current, the art it to do it in someway that water doesn't get in.
Older houses used to be designed with that in mind...
If thats not an option put the dehumidifier with a drain on top of a sink like in the kitchen, but dehumidifiers do take a lot of electricity so thats a bit of a waste.
Also mold doesn't creep in just one summer I think lol
But yeah ventilation is the one trick that is as old as human have had houses... Keeping windows open a lot is important.
tldrv try deactivating hybernation, sleep stuff like that
I think that your hardware panics at some ACPI calls due to a hardware or driver problem.
ACPI is the API that allows you to control stuff like screen brigthness etc, and the way its done does vary per distro.
If you want to stay on kde try to deactivate or change some options for screen brigthness, sleep etc stuff like this...
Thats what I mean by it can be a pain to debug.
But lets be clear I don't think kde is at fault here.
Anywere try deactivation some settings relating to sleep, screensaving etc...
This could also be a problem due to sleep/hybernation that doesn't work ? Try deactivating hybernation.
This looks a lot like a hardware or driver issue, hard to believe it could be DE related...
If it works on some configs as you claim try to see which kernel / gpu drivers it works well for.
Also some ACPI calls could cause your screen to freeze this way ? This could be a reason why it looks bugged only on kde ?
Anyway probably it looks like a PITA to debug for something that essentially is probably a driver or hardware problem
The devs don't have enough time to implement a "the border changes in function of your IP" function so like fuckoff.
And its not the devs who made the map, they probably used some data where contested territories are omitted.
Btw liancour rocks are rocks so stop wasting your time and go touch grass.
As you probably know switzerland doesn't mine any gold, so that gold spike is just temporary, they export a lot despite that. And its a lot compared to their population, my point is that strong currency doesn't necessarily kill all exports.
As you say the point is to produce either super high value inelastic goods with labour, or cheap goods but with very little labour.
NL does both, they do both ASML but also produce the cheapest agricultural goods in the EU.
The point I am trying to make is that if you want to become/stay a rich economy, you need a somehow strong currency so that people actually come to do research and work there, and maximize productivity thought capital investments.
When the currency goes to the drain like japan, you instead of getting another china you just like loose all your edge in research, get brain drain, all of that to be still beaten at this game by other asian nations.
Strong currency impeding exports is not that true for advanced economies anymore, in advanced manufacturing currency is not that big of a factor as the competition is not so much on price.
In order to attract talents and investments you need to actually have high salaries, so that people want to move there to work in the advanced fields. Thats something that japan has completely failed to understand: by devaluating the currency they are causing a massive brain drain, especially since ultra low phd stipends and research financing has completely killed R&D's future in japan..
Switzerland has fucking expensive currency, yet they export a fuckton.
What a low currency is good at, is making your international companies look super good on the stock market, as they are effectively world companies that just report their quarterly results in their own country. That is why the nikkei is so high.
France would be doing fantastic if not for their pension system killing them and Italy is one of the most performing economies of the world, if you just look at the northern part of it lol
Yeah south of italy is economically dead but people can migrate within europe to more productive places, thats the strength of the system. Thats also why the UK was retarded to leave.
Actually fun fact, Italy now exports more than Japan, thats how much Japan is fucked lol
Lol if you follow the japanese politics you will see that the mood is towards tax cuts, even huge gasoline subsidies rigth now lol.
They also want less migration and the aging of the population, china and korea beating them in most industries.. I just don't see it working.
Actually I think it will end up like argentina but without having to default, just massive devaluation and stagnation that will make the country look poor in 10-15 years.
France and italy are protected by the euro, more resistant to shocks and high interest rates, and also there is way more growth to be had inside of the european market.
Japan is too homogeneous and thus will stagnate and decline homogeneously, I think.
Yeah a huge part if owned by the BOJ because of quantitative easing they did.
The point is that they had to stop their yield curve control and start putting interest rates, thats why the 10 year bond is so high now.
In a few years they will have to refinance their debt, and I have no idea how they plan to do it without crashing down the yen (which seems to be the plan to be honest)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm7jVi8akcc
Relevant video lol
But yeah, in simple Newtonian physics momentum is mass times velocity, but thats actually a lie because you can have momentum without mass, also momentum of things spinning is something very complicated etc.
Even if you create a lot of new babies it will be 18 years before they start beeing productive assets. And you could argue that locals are less productive than immigrants lol.
All successful developed countries have a lot of migration, and lets be honest outside of hurt feelings about feeling "less at home" (which will happen anyway as the world changes), immigration is overall extremely beneficial for everybody involved... (war disaster driven migration ofc doesn't have the same economic benefits... But this is not a problem in japan. And europe complains when many countries like turkey has waaaay many more refuges...)
Conservatives with this stupid ideology are literally ruining the world...
AERA reports that Aso, whose faction's votes allowed Takaichi to become LDP president, is dissatisfied with her leadership style and that his faction may withdraw support from her in the future. They speculate that he may see Foreign Minister Motegi as the potential next Prime Minister.
The damage has already been done though, even if they replace takaichi.
Motegi would have been waay better
Its funny because I have been seeing this kind of posts for years now, maybe 10 or 15 haha
Honestly its more of a meme to hate on systemd at its point, it feels almost cultural.
People said that systemd was bloated etc, but like before systemd mounting drives, plugging usb etc all of this could crash your pc lol.
Nowadays GNU/linux is more like GNU/Systemd/Linux, but its probably for the best.
Linux kernel is a huge bloat on itself lets not forget lol.
Why the hate ?? I think its really fantastic and has many usecases like for work pc or chromebooks !!
I used to myself have my own setup on archlinux etc.. When working corporate thats not an option. Overleaf is also not an option.
What you did is not easy and I think its great, I'm pretty sure many people would use it. AFAIK i don't know of any complete latex compiler + editor + frontend that just works in the browser in WASM.
Continue your good work and don't listen to the haters !
Elon cooked with this one lol
But yeah those alt righters will get what they want I believe, I will myself probably end up leaving japan in the end, as well as almost all foreigners who have a choice in the matter.
I will come back in a few years to enjoy the ever cheaper yen, while earning foreign currency lol.
Japanese people are gonna get fucked and it will be entirely their own fault. They might even get themselves bombed with their foreign policy so bend on fighting china one way or another.
I can take videos of japanese people vomiting and trashing trains while drunk,
I have seen many times japanese drunk ojisan screaming and agressing people in the train.
but no those kind of video serve no purpose other than to generate useless outrage.
But thats the world we live in rigth ? Fuck those outrage farmers.
People are soon gonna realise that lowering taxes is not what solves the cheap yen and high oil prices... But japanese conservatives with their mental gymnastic will probably find a way to justify their beliefs...
edit: when you think about it gasoline subsidies while beeing an import country with a weakening currency is really a third world country policy... I guess thats where japan wants to head at.
Don't overcomplicate it,
-
take a stick mixer,
-
take 3 parts oil for 1 part liquid (lemon juice, water, or even milk for some aioli recipes),
-
add all the garlic cloves you want
-
plunge your stick
-
turn it on
-
???? (honestly this part is like a mayonnaise its about beeing used to it and having the rigth pot )
-
profit (after leaving it in the fridge for one nigth)
As I often explain to my japanese friends japanese nikkei companies aren't japanese companies representative of japan, they are WORLD company that just happened to have their HQ and most of their production in japan while they make fuckton of money selling in the whole world.
The cheap yen benefits a lot big japanese companies, even higher interest rates mean that JP banks just became huge money printers (I know as I work for one..)
So yeah it makes sense that the nikkei stock goes high.
However its still a very shit situation for the consumers, interest rates / currencies can be seen as a wealth transfer between consumers and companies.
Its not a stupid question actually.
Actually its not so much about vertical vs horizontal: the climb still has to matter anyway and rocket trajectories go "horizontal" very quickly avec taking off, as they need to orbit.
The reason they don't go horizontal from the start is air density, its more efficient to get high then go "horizontal"
What matters the most is the fact that rockets have to carry their own oxydizers (liquid oxygen, or other chemicals) while airplanes with air ingesting reactors can take it from the air, meaning they need to carry less fuel at take off.
Thats why their have been many projects to make rockets take off from a "mothership" jet airplane, like what virgin tried to do.
But in the end for mostly engineering reason we sticked with multi stage rockets to go to space.
Yeah thats probably the only solution.. Now I tucket my residence card inside my phone case, hard to get out but do I have a choice ?
Fuck the politicians for creating such shit atmosphere... Its definitely something coming from the top..
Migth not be so far away we will get deportation quotas or something lol
I guess I'm also breaking the law when I'm in the onsen or a shower ? Or swimming ?
Its the same with ID cards in the EU, my father was once brought to the police station because he was running without it, even though he is a 50 yo white guy lol.
The reason I don't bring my card while running is because it is too risky to forget to put it back in my wallet afterwards...
I guess in the future we should get tatoos or RF chips implanted.
I just said that as a joke but its what migth actually happend one day... Fuck this shitty world we live in.
