JOHN WICK isn't a light-hearted space adventure that is supposed to introduce a new generation of kids to a classic sci-fi franchise.

Get outta here with the “soulless” nonsense. Star Wars is meant to be a fairy tale for boys. It’s an entire franchise designed to inspire young kids to play with action figures and use their imagination. Read George’s biography; he was raised by a guy who ran a toy store. That’s why he was smart enough to secure the licensing rights. The Last Jedi had more emotional depth than any other SW movie, and there was a major character arc for Luke, and that caused a ton of backlash from a bunch of humpty dumpties who got up early to buy all the toys at Target before the kids could get them. And they hated the prequels for being too childish. These idiots don’t know what the hell they want. Go see Mandalorian and enjoy it. If you’re too broken and “soulless” to do that, then STFU and let other people have their fun.

John Wick but for kids could be prime parody material though!

Weren't these same guys glazing mortal kombat literally a week ago? Was that movie super deep or something?

Notice how the commenter singled out “the first movie”. People don’t necessarily watch movies for the excellent plot - case in point, all the other John Wick movies. They’re just fun, dark, action movies full of skilled martial artists. Emphasis on FUN.
