%appdata% is a common location from where PUPs and Malware like to stage themselves, so I block executables from running from that location.

You complain about bloat, yet Malwarebytes is bloated to shit now.
Here's one of their employees literally talking about all the reasons why they bloated it:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Malwarebytes/comments/1qf8xtj/malwarebytes_is_bloated_and_is_no_longer_what_it/In any objective comparison, Kaspersky crushes Malwarebytes:
https://www.security.org/antivirus/kaspersky-vs-malwarebytes/https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/https://av-comparatives.org/consumer/test-results/Kaspersky lets you turn off a bunch of features, and even better, you can also turn off the NAGGING about the features you disabled, unlike something like Bitdefender where you can't disable the alerts/nags from features you disabled. Literally uses fuck all memory on my system, Defender is more resource intensive than this is.
Use what you want by the way, Malwarebytes, ESET, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, F-Secure, Sophos, Vipre. Just please do the research yourself and don't blindly believe shit you've heard.

DNSCrypt is a proxy and is much more highly configurable (and arguably more secure) than sending just straight DoH requests to your choice of resolver.
It depends on your threat model. Me personally, I just use sb.dns and ControlD over DoH for convenience. I don't browse much shady shit so I'm not too concerned.
