Trans porn was the second most-viewed category of 2025 on PornHub, up five spots from 2024. For some trans content creators, this isn’t really a surprise: trans people are hot and have always been desired—the political noise around their existence, they say, is just manufactured bullshit.

In this piece, trans creators push back on the idea that trans desire is new or niche. “People have been trans and have been attracted to trans people since the dawn of time,” they say. Trans sex workers, they add, have long been foundational to the adult industry, and that they're not a monolith.
“It honestly feels incredible. In a moment where transness is often framed as something negative or controversial, being openly desired feels like a quiet but powerful contradiction to that narrative."
Ok. Playboy, while furries aren’t your demographic, thanks for passing the vibe check. Welcome to Bluesky. 🙌
Playboy out here doing better journalism than
Agreed! Playboy for the win!!
Sadly, the NY times has been a fascist-leaning rag for awhile.
As someone who’d subscribed for decades, I’m still not over it.
Fuck them forever for the hit jobs they did on Obama and Hilary.
It's not "they say"; it's the truth.
If the right-wing wasn't persecuting trans people, it would be "the gays" or some other group.
It's not based on facts; it's "what gets us power", founded in fear, ignorance, and bigotry. And if those things aren't prominent enough, the right actively feeds them.
I of course agree, but I wonder if they added that to indicate that they actually let trans people speak for themselves in this article, which is… wildly refreshing for basically any publication article in 2026. But yeah it does make it oddly worded.
They did! Playboy interviewed three trans people and the article is largely them talking for themselves. I read it it's really good.
"I just read it for the articles" has been a joke I've heard since I was a child, and now I'm doing it for real XD
Wild, but y'all are doing good work.
Playboy actually having really good articles has always been. Its secret.
Ironically they're out of the porn business for a while.

I mean, that was always a thing, but, it wasn't what they were known for, and honestly, many people thought they were dead.
Obvs this is also a further factor of marginalization. Some (not nearly all) viewers just want control over our bodies, to get off to us while not caring about our lives. See also how we can't stop so many porn sites from basically using slurs for us as categories, Absolute dearth of transmasc porn.
I just keep thinking of a statistic where sociopaths are twice as common in society as trans people ... at roughly 6%.
Meaning that if you've met one trans person, you've also met 2 to 3 sociopaths and probably didn't know it.
Wouldn't that demographic be 6% of trans people rather than trans people sharing the 6% demographic with the sociopaths?
There is a reason I have always respected and enjoyed Playboy, unironically for its writing.
Is Playboy picking up the mantle from Teen Vogue for best unexpected based news source?

Did not have Playboy being an ally on my 2026 bingo card.
