It’s important to archive at all costs because anything could be gone in an instant and everything that belongs to Vostanera could be deleted from the internet. It’s to avoid such possible accidents that we archive our websites and other resources. Do not forget that when archiving a website, you should use all these things instead of using just one.
The following are the archiving sites that you can use:
1) archive.org
This is the most commonly used archiving website. This website is not limited to web archiving; it is also possible to archive other forms of information on this platform as long as one has an account. All that needs to be done is visiting web.archive.org/save and selecting the necessary options in the drop-down menus. Screenshots cannot easily be viewed unless the user has downloaded the HTML files. Without an account, one will only have the option of using the "Save Error Page" option.
2) ghostarchive.org/
The second popular website for archiving that works wonders when it comes to archiving YouTube videos. Web archiving websites other than this one are also supported by the service. All one needs to do is simply enter the URL of the desired website into the "Website to be archived" box. There are instances, however, where this might fail to work owing to errors like MB limits. The test was done on the Vostanera Forum website, and we found this to be the case.
3) archive.is
This is the archiving site that we often use, and it is one of the best indeed. The sole demerit of this site is that there are no hover effects when archiving an item (it should be considered as archiving as static pictures). Apart from that, however, the short link and the possibility to get screenshots just by clicking on one link are fantastic. The thing is that after archiving any site, you will have to wait for two days before archiving it once again. To avoid it, all you need to do is type in "?nocache=1" after the link (example: vostanera.boards.net/?nocache=1).
4) megalodon.jp/
This is somewhat strange and confusing relative to the others as it is written in Japanese language. But what makes it different from other methods of archiving is its ability to bypass verification processes such as Cloudflare. This aspect is critical since all other ways mentioned above cannot pass through the protection against DDoS attacks provided by the likes of Cloudflare and therefore cannot archive these sites.
