日本在住のイギリス人の同僚と鰻の話になった。
ビクトリア時代に、イギリスでも鰻が流行ったことがあるらしい。 ただ、料理法は日本と全然違ってて、鰻ゼリー(jellied eels)だそうで😱 いまでもロンドンで鰻ゼリーで有名なカフェがあるらしい。
もちろん、日本在住イギリス人は鰻重大好きみたい。
