Best way to find out if it's responsible is to quit for a while then add it back in. I would suggest 3-6 months of not touching the stuff to know if it affects your hair since hair changes slowly. You might know sooner for the digestive stuff.

I have a mild corn allergy that causes post-nasal drip and eat it sometimes anyway because it's hard to avoid it 100%, I'll live with the consequences. I don't think it does anything worse than that, my systemic inflammation levels on blood work are always fine. You could have those tested if you want

I didn't know I was allergic to my allergen for 20 yrs. I went from headaches and vertigo to adding more and more reactions through the years and now I'm anaphalyctic to it. If I accidentally have any it's awful and my body takes forever to recover.

I’m not sure if BAT testing is available for coffee but that would be a more accurate way to see if the type of reaction you are having is allergy related vs a positive test but then EoE to the coffee etc. You can have a positive test and reactions to that food but not an allergy - does that make sense? Unless the reactions are allergic reactions it makes it difficult to tell.

All of this of course if you’re not willing to just cut out coffee for a while, which would be much simpler.

Have you tried any coffee alternatives?

That is a very small reaction as far as SPT measurement goes.

If you google “coffee alternatives” many pop up. You could start with trying to find one that tastes similar to coffee.

Also “vegan hot chocolate” gives many options.
