BINI, Sexbomb Girls collab for epic ‘Halukay Ube,’ ‘Pantropiko’ performance
It became a memorable night for fans of BINI and Sexbomb Girls as the two girl groups shared one stage to perform their respective hit songs at the veteran girl group’s “rAWnd 3” concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, Feb. 6.
BINI surprised concertgoers when they appeared to join Sexbomb Girls on stage to perform the latter’s hit “Halukay Ube.” The two girl groups, who came from different generations, brought the audience to their feet in their unexpected collaboration.
Dressed in retro-inspired outfits, BINI and Sexbomb Girls also performed two of the former’s hits “Salamin, Salamin” and “Pantropiko.” At the end of the performance, Sexbomb leader Rochelle Pangilinan dismissed the competition between the two iconic girl groups.
“Sexbomb noon, BINI ngayon. Pero linawin namin na hindi ito kompetisyon. Pare-pareho lang kaming babaeng nangangarap at nagsusumikap na nagmamahal sa musika at sayaw,” said Pangilinan.
(Sexbomb then, BINI now. But let’s make it clear that this is not a competition. We are just the same women who dream, work hard, and love music and dance.)
Earlier this year, Pangilinan revealed that because her daughter is a fan of BINI, the Sexbomb Girls reunion came to fruition.

“Alam mo po ba, sa totoo lang, ang anak namin ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit isa ako sa nag-push ng concert kasi sobrang fan si Shiloh ng [BINI]. So, ngayon kinakanta niya,” shared the actress-dancer.
(You know, to be honest, our daughter was one of the reasons why I pushed for the concert because Shiloh is a huge fan of BINI.)
Sexbomb Girls member Jopay Paguia also previously expressed her desire for the two girl groups to collaborate.
“Sobrang proud ako sa BINI noong nagkaroon sila ng hype talaga. Kasi bibihira lang talagang magkaroon ng P-Pop dito. So kung sakali makakasayaw namin sila, bakit hindi? Nakakatuwa ‘yun,” she said at the time.
(I was so proud of BINI when they really got [the hype]. Because it’s really rare to have P-Pop here. So if we can dance with them, why not? That’s fun.)
Sexbomb Girls, who rose to fame for their iconic dance and songs “Spaghetti Song,” “Bakit Papa?” and “Di Ko Na Mapigilan,” among others, are currently making headlines following the staging of their “Get, Get Aw!” reunion concert since last December. They will be holding the fourth installment of the show this month.
Meanwhile, BINI, is set to make history as the first Filipino group to perform at Coachella this coming April 2026. /ra
