The statues are part of the deception of the Catholic Church. I do not say that to offend any Catholics, but one of the Ten Commandments say not to have any gods before me, and statues idolize, so they're wrong. I grew up in non Catholic faith, where there were no statues, idols, only a cross at the front of the sanctuary to remember Christ giving his life in place of our own because of our sins. I'm a Christ followe, and Jesus is my Saviour. I hope that as you journey in your failth, that you will also find him and follow too.

To know and love Jesus you must love His Mother too and Catholics do. Mary was conceived without sin and born without the stain of original on her soul, she is the only perfect human ever and is full of grace, she is the only human to have a unique relationship with The Blessed Trinity, she is Daughter of The Father, Mother of The Son and Spouse of The Holy Ghost, she is the new Eve as her Son, Jesus is the new Adam. Mary who is the handmaid of the Lord is also the person who intercedes to Jesus on our behalf, just like she did at the wedding at Canna. Mary did not die because she is without sin , she fell asleep and then Jesus brought her body and soul into to Heaven, where she was crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth and of all the angels and saints, by The Blessed Trinity. Mary is still alive and well in Heaven and Catholics pray to her to intercede to The Living God for us. Saint Luke The Evangelist was the first to paint a likeness of her since he knew her and received his gospel from her and God approved, he did not paint a golden calf he painted The Mother of God and that painting through love and devotion to Mary Ever Virgin brought about many miracles. Read about Our Lady of Guadalupe that image was sent by God Himself. While a cross is good a Crucifix is more pleasing to God because a likeness of His only Divine Son Jesus is placed upon the cross, depicting Jesus' suffering and death, His sacrifice for all mankind. You are not Catholic sadly, I pray that one day you will be as there is no salvation outside the Catholic Religion. I'm new in the Church. I don't have any problem with the statues or the images of the saints. Grew up in a violent atmosphere among Protestants and pagans. I was fighting with the other boys in the village almost every day. The only two women who were kind to me are Catholics. I was too distracted those days to pay attention to their religion. But I had heard people using the word "RC".

The daily fighting stopped when I started practising self-defence around the age of 16. Yes, I was growing up among would-be criminals, but I was not innocent either.

I was also being harassed by demons since I don't know when (was it since birth?), and, as far as I can remember, I was not living a good life even as a child.

I think we discover the right way when we are given the grace to see our faults, give up what is bad in us and embrace the good. I'm still learning how the world functions.

It is good to pray for others. It is good to be able to pray for those who have been spiteful towards us.
