This is the main article for Twisteds. For the category, see Category:Twisteds.

Twisteds are the names for the main antagonists of Dandy's World. They're the corrupted versions of Toons, disfigured by Ichor. Their primary objective is to kill all the players/Toons.

The warning sound that plays when a Twisted spots a Toon

Every round will begin with a base of two Twisteds per Floor, this amount increasing depending on the number of Floors reached and the number of players remaining, maxing out at 8 (6 if the player is by themselves).

If a Skill Check is failed and a Twisted nearby isn't aggravated, the nearby Twisteds will run to it and check up on it. Several Twisteds have special properties concerning this—Twisted Astro Render Twisted Astro, for example, will run to the Machine and drain progress, while Twisted Vee will hear it from anywhere.

Twisteds are split into five rarities, each weighed differently depending on the Floor number: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Main Character, and Lethal.

  • Common Twisteds usually possess no special abilities and usually have statistics reflecting the statistical build or personalities of their Toon counterpart. Some examples include Twisted Shrimpo Render Twisted Shrimpo with his heightened attention span, Twisted Brusha Render Twisted Brusha with her large detection range, and Twisted Yatta Render Twisted Yatta with her slightly higher speed.
  • Uncommon Twisteds typically possess special abilities, but none pose a direct threat to the player, instead providing more of a subtle threat that changes how the player interacts with the Floors, such as Twisted Brightney Render Twisted Brightney being able to increase the chances of a Blackout, or Twisted Razzle & Dazzle Render Twisted Razzle & Dazzle affecting how you traverse the Floor. Some simply have at least one highly augmented statistic, though with another much lower one, such as Twisted Toodles Render Twisted Toodles with her high speed but very low attention span.
  • Rare Twisteds possess special abilities that pose a direct threat to the player, such as Twisted Goob Render Twisted Goob and Twisted Scraps Render Twisted Scraps' long ranged attack or Twisted Squirm Render Twisted Squirm's grab attack. Twisted Flutter Render Twisted Flutter has higher statistics than average and roams near her chasing speed, which, despite not seeming like a lot, still makes her quite dangerous. Additionally, Twisted Flutter never stops moving even after attacking. Possibly more dangerous in the cases of a Main Character spawning or paired up.
  • Main Character Twisteds are unique threats that interact with the player in unusual ways, usually completely changing the Floor's progression strategy. Oftentimes, if not careful or unprepared, Floors containing these Twisteds can lead to the demises of many players in the round due to their unique abilities. Many Mains usually have secondary or tertiary abilities, such as Twisted Astro and Twisted Vee Render Twisted Vee, who affect Machine completion in addition to inflicting Debuffs; if you fail a Skill Check, Twisted Astro will drain half of the failed Machine's completion, whilst Vee will just hone in on your location. More examples is Twisted Vee's mechanic to put ads over your screen.
  • There are two Lethal Twisteds as of now, that being Twisted Dandy Render Twisted Dandy and Twisted Dyle Render Twisted Dyle. Lethal Twisteds are only available by completing (or failing to complete) certain tasks in a round, and have the ability to kill the player in one attack regardless of current Health or Trinkets. They are often compared to Mains in that they have similarly bizarre mechanics while also (in Dandy's case) being "Main Characters" of the Dandy's World TV Show.
    • To summon Twisted Dandy, for at least three appearances in a round, don't buy from Dandy's Shop. This will lead to Dandy Render Dandy being agitated with the Player. After at least 3 appearances of Dandy's Shop in a row with no buying, Twisted Dandy can appear, making his minimum Floor to spawn be Floors 6+. Twisted Dandy's mechanic is that he can hear when a machine is completed, charging at it.
    • In Twisted Dyle's case, he only spawns if you pick the "TIME'S UP Icon TIME'S UP" Card, which appears on Floor 9+, spawning you in a special map along with Dyle. If all the other cards are voted, from Floor 43-45, Dyle's Card is the only one left, forcing players to complete Dyle's Floor. His mechanic is that he has a bar similar to Twisted Glisten, that fills as he sees someone. The higher the bar, the faster Dyle is. Additionally, if anyone fails a single Skill Check on his Floor, his bar will instantly fill, being deadly for the small amount of people that know how to distract him.

Most Twisteds roam the halls of the various Floors of the Gardenview Center, wandering aimlessly between specific spots. Twisteds (with few exceptions, such as Twisted Flutter) will pause for about two seconds when reaching a dead end/node in their pathing before turning around. Upon spotting a player, they will begin a chase. Chases will end if the player is able to remain out of sight for long enough, usually by hiding behind obstructions (except Machines, which do not block Line of Sight), by outrunning both their cone of vision, or if the Twisted successfully attacks the player by coming into contact with them. A successful attack will normally result in one Heart worth of damage (the only exceptions being Lethal Twisteds, which deal 99), and the Twisted will pause for around 3 seconds (excluding most Main Characters, becomes 6 seconds if the Blushy Bat Blushy Bat Trinket is equipped, 5 seconds if Twisted Bobette Render Twisted Bobette), giving the player ample time to run away. Twisteds that have struck a player are still able to detect them in a circular cone of vision for a short time, so don't hide right next to them. Any other Twisteds chasing the Toon will still pursue the player, so you must make distance to be completely safe. Players inside of the Elevator are counted as outside of line of sight.

Most roaming Twisteds will be alerted by nearby failed Skill Checks (depending on their detection radius) and will run towards the source of the noise, stopping briefly upon reaching the Machine. (Of the regular roaming Twisteds, Twisted Vee, Twisted Astro, Twisted Dandy, and Twisted Dyle are exceptions; if they are roaming, they will come no matter where they currently are on the Floor). They will not exhibit this behavior if they are in a chase when a Skill Check is failed and will lose the Machine as a target if they enter a chase. This mechanic does not apply if the Mime Makeup Mime Makeup Trinket is equipped. Air Horns and Pebble Render Pebble's Pebble Ability IconSpeak! are treated similarly to failed Skill Checks, but are not affected by Mime Makeup.

All Twisteds have their own stats relating to speed (either in a chase or while roaming), detection range (reliant on the player's Stealth stat), and attention span (how long they continue chasing a player when the player is out of line of sight).

Some Twisteds are special, possessing a requirement to attack players. These kinds of Twisteds can be stationary or may roam around. There are currently only 7 Twisteds that exhibit this behavior, two of which are stationary, one more stationary Twisted that changes where his two stationary attack positions are, one which roams around, and two that exhibit both behaviors, but while one only attacks while stationary, the other only attacks if roaming. The best way to avoid getting attacked by these Twisteds is tracking where they are, what their traps look like, and how to neutralize their threats. These passive Twisteds include Twisted Rodger Render Twisted Rodger, Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, Twisted Blot Render Twisted Blot, Twisted Connie, Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten, Twisted Squirm, and Twisted Gourdy Render Twisted Gourdy.

When a player is hit by a Twisted, other Twisteds' damage will be subject to a short grace period in addition to the attacker's pause before becoming able to attack the player. Because of this, if chased by a Lethal Twisted, it's a viable strategy to allow a lesser Twisted to attack you to buy some time.

A random Twisted will appear on the Daily Twisted Board at 12am GMT and for 24 hours will have a higher chance to appear during the game. This Twisted cannot be Common or Lethal, but can be Event-exclusive as long as their Event is ongoing. This can be helpful for obtaining research on a specific Twisted, or be disadvantageous when it is dangerous and unwanted. Note that previous days do not affect what will be on the board in future days.

When the player initiates a chase or encounters/activates a trap Twisted, it will provide them with five Tapes and increase their Research progress with that particular Twisted by 5% (10% if playing as Rodger Render Rodger). This can only be done once per Floor, so if you get chased by a Twisted more than once on a Floor, you will only get 5% research total, from the first encounter. If the same Twisted is encountered on a different Floor, you will receive 5 more Tapes and Research progress will be increased. Dying to a particular Twisted does not affect research.

Holiday Twisteds are special Twisteds that only spawn during their respective Events. They have mechanics, functions and spawn rates corresponding to their rarities, but they all have one special spawn trait, which is at least one Holiday Twisted is guaranteed to spawn on their Event's Holiday Floor (every Floor that is a multiple of 5), and the Main Holiday Twisted is guaranteed to appear every 20 Floors.

For Twisted Targeting priority, visit the Stealth Mechanics page.

Twisted Population Per Floor

As players progress through Floors, the number of Twisteds that appear gradually increases, starting at two and capping at eight. Uniquely, when only one player is alive, the maximum number of Twisteds instead caps at six. The number of Twisteds that appear is determined by the Floor and number of players in the Elevator when the room is generated. Twisteds will not vanish if players leave or die—changes to spawn rates only affect consecutive Floors.

Twisted Rarity Per Floor

As players progress through Floors, the chance for different Twisted rarities slowly changes. However, unlike Twisted amount and Machine amount, the amount of players currently alive does not affect Twisted rarity scaling.

As a run begins, Common Twisteds have a weight of 75 units, Uncommon Twisteds have a weight of 25 units, Rare Twisteds have a weight of 10 units, and Main Twisteds have a weight of 0 units, totaling up to 110 units. Starting at Floor 5, Rare and Main chances begin increasing. Rares gain 1 weight unit every 2 Floors, and mains get 4 weight units every 5 Floors. Commons and Uncommons do not gain or lose any weight units.

The table below showcases the chances for Twisteds of each rarity to spawn up to Floor 100. Do know that these aren't the final numbers as this does not accommodate for the Twisted amount per Floor, these are only for one Twisted slot on a Floor.

Twisted Descriptions

Twisted Boxten

Twisted Boxten Full Render

Twisted Boxten Render Twisted Boxten is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, the same as Twisted Cosmo Render Twisted Cosmo, Twisted Looey Render Twisted Looey, and Twisted Poppy Render Twisted Poppy.

Just like other Common Twisteds, you should try to get away from his sight if he spots you. Try to preserve 40-70 stamina to outrun Twisted Boxten, especially on later Floors where you get chased constantly; running out of stamina will make you vulnerable to him and may get you killed.

"One of the most common Twisteds you'll encounter. Overcome by Ichor, this Twisted has the innate urge to chase others down. Thankfully, it appears that this Twisted doesn't have any abilities to aid him." -Twisted Research

Twisted Brusha

Twisted Brusha Full Render

Twisted Brusha Render Twisted Brusha is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, although she possesses an extremely high detection range. It is recommended to stay far away from her due to her extremely high detection range.

Just like other Common Twisteds, try to get out of her sight and preserve some stamina if she spots you, as she has an average attention span.

"This commonly seen Twisted has a sharp eye. Overcome with Ichor, Brusha's strong vision gives her greater range than other Twisteds." -Twisted Research

Twisted Cosmo

Twisted Cosmo Full Render

Twisted Cosmo Render Twisted Cosmo is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, the same as Twisted Boxten Render Twisted Boxten, Twisted Looey Render Twisted Looey, and Twisted Poppy Render Twisted Poppy.

Just like other Commons, try to get out of his sight if he sees you, and preserve some stamina in case he spots you.

"One of the most common Twisteds you'll encounter. Being overcome by Ichor and separated from his best friend has driven this Twisted to chase Toons down. It appears this Twisted lacks any noteworthy abilities, however." -Twisted Research

Twisted Looey

Twisted Looey Full Render

Twisted Looey Render Twisted Looey is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, the same as Twisted Boxten Render Twisted Boxten, Twisted Cosmo Render Twisted Cosmo, and Twisted Poppy Render Twisted Poppy.

Just like other Commons, try to get out of his sight if he sees you, and preserve some stamina in case he spots you.

"While this Twisted is more common than others, Looey is still a dangerous foe. Overcome with Ichor his physical changes have provided him a higher point of view compared to other common Twisteds, able to see further and retain attention within chase for longer periods of time." -Twisted Research

Twisted Poppy

Twisted Poppy Full Render

Twisted Poppy Render Twisted Poppy is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, the same as Twisted Boxten Render Twisted Boxten, Twisted Cosmo Render Twisted Cosmo, and Twisted Looey Render Twisted Looey.

Just like other Common Twisteds, try to get out of her sight and preserve some stamina if she spots you.

"One of the most common Twisteds you'll encounter. Overcome by Ichor, this Twisted has the innate urge to chase others down. Thankfully, it appears that this Twisted doesn't have any abilities to aid her." -Twisted Research

Twisted Shrimpo

Twisted Shrimpo Full Render

Twisted Shrimpo Render Twisted Shrimpo is slower than the other Twisteds, but because of this, his attention span is higher. He'll chase you for longer even if you're out of his sight. Try to outrun him as long as you can and get far from his range.

Just like other Common Twisteds, preserve at least 30-60 stamina to get behind an object in time. You may have to loop around.

"While this Twisted is more common than others, Shrimpo is not to be messed with. Overcome by Ichor, this Twisted's bullying has become deadly. He may be slower than the average Twisted, but he has trained eyesight for Toons to bully. Don't get caught!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Tisha

Twisted Tisha Full Render

Twisted Tisha Render Twisted Tisha is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, yet has a small gimmick. She acts just like the average Twisted, but the difference is that she can idle around areas. This means she can camp Machines and could be somewhat annoying in runs where there are no Distractors, or if you're playing solo.

Just like other Common Twisteds, you want to preserve some stamina and watch out for her. Try to get out of her sight. If she is idling near a Machine, you can try to catch her attention and lead her into a different area or wait for her to move on.

"This commonly seen Twisted is most often spotted moving from place to place spending a considerably long time cleaning the floor. Interrupting her work would not be wise!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Yatta

Twisted Yatta Full Render

Twisted Yatta Render Twisted Yatta is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities, but has significantly more chasing speed than other Common Twisteds, similar to her Toon counterpart. Preserve some stamina in case she sees you, as her high speed can get you killed if you don't have resources.

"While this twisted is more common than others, Yatta is dangerous when running on her tails. Overcome with ichor, her tails provide her with a higher run speed compared to other common Twisteds." -Twisted Research

Uncommon Twisteds have a spawn rate of 25 on a given Floor. Additionally, most of them have abilities, though their abilities usually do not directly affect the player in harmful ways.

Twisted Brightney

Twisted Brightney Full Render

Twisted Brightney Render Twisted Brightney is a roaming Twisted which gives off a very bright and vivid red glow, which can be seen even through walls. Reflecting her luminous counterpart, her special ability increases the chance of a Blackout occurring on any Floor she appears on by re-rolling the blackout chance once if one does not occur.

Other than that, if no Blackouts happen, you can more easily hide due to her bright light showing where she is. If she does cause a Blackout (or a Blackout does coincidentally happen when she is here), you can use her light to identify where you should go. If you see it move quickly, she might be chasing someone or heading to a failed Machine. Try to help if the former.

"A more uncommon Twisted, Brightney uses her knowledge and cunning to tamper with the lighting system, increasing the chance of a Blackout occurring on the Floor she resides in. Be sure to come prepared if this happens!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Connie

Twisted Connie Full Render

Twisted Connie Render Twisted Connie starts out as a friendly blue apparition, slowly moving from a point of the map to a random Machine. Once reaching a Machine, she will possess it, and if said Machine is completed, the light will change from green to red. Although she can possess uncompleted Machines as well. Once she's about to leave (presumably after 10 seconds), the Machine's light will flash blue, and she will pop out of the Machine. Interacting with the Machine while she's possessing it will have her pop out prematurely and deal a Heart of damage to the player.

You can freely get Research and Tapes Tapes from her without activating her, but if she's on a Floor, look at the handlebars of every Machine to see if it's in a “Y” shape, or if the light is glowing blue. If either, Twisted Connie is in that Machine, and it is recommended to wait it out instead of taking a hit to make her leave.

"A more uncommon Twisted, Connie prefers to spend her time alone focused on possessing Ichor Machines. This activity fills her sense of purpose within Gardenview. When roaming she is harmless though if disturbed while busy possessing a machine she becomes aggressive and will attack, remember she can't possess a machine forever." -Twisted Research

Twisted Finn

Twisted Finn Full Render

Twisted Finn Render Twisted Finn is a roaming Twisted who is easier to track due to the trail of Ichor behind him. When finishing a Machine on the same Floor as this Twisted, you gain SlowYellowSlow III for 6 seconds. It's best noted you finish the Machine closest to the elevator last, as Slow III can be deadly during Panic Mode, because it might take you longer to get to the elevator safely. Using speed Items and priming Machines are great ways to negate this, so try to get as many as you can.

Finn can be dangerous under the right circumstances. If there is another fast Twisted or if you're a slow Toon, this Debuff can put you in heavy danger, especially when you missed a Skill Check right before or if you're out in the open. Finn is much harder to see during Blackouts due to his small size and dark coloration. Also, when given the Slow III Debuff, you won't be able to outrun or outwalk any Twisted, even if you're playing as Pebble Render Pebble.

"This Twisted is filled to the brim with Ichor and uncontrolled vigor. Finn makes up for his lack of mobility by dousing Toons who have recently completed Machines in Ichor, greatly slowing their movement. Check your surroundings before completing Machines!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Razzle & Dazzle

Twisted Razzle & Dazzle Full Render

Twisted Razzle & Dazzle Render Twisted Razzle & Dazzle are a pair of fused-together, stationary Twisteds that will spawn in a random location on a Floor, sitting in an idle state encircled by red, vine-like tendrils. While they are in this idle state, they are harmless and the player can freely walk within their circle, even venturing as close as they'd like to the sitting Twisteds. If a player runs within the circle, their hostile state will activate. Upon spotting a player, they will cause vines to shoot up from the ground underneath the player, stabbing at their feet and causing one Heart worth of damage. If 15 seconds pass without a player entering the circle during their hostile state, they will return to their idle position.

Twisted Razzle & Dazzle requires line of sight with the player to deal damage, so any object or wall between them and the player will prevent them from attacking. However, they do not require line of sight to become hostile, and they will remain hostile for a couple of seconds until they return to their idle state once again. Triggering their hostile state without being in their line of sight does not give Tapes Tapes—you must be in their line of sight while they are in their hostile state for any period of time to be awarded Tapes. If you are in their line of sight while they are hostile, you can quickly exit the circle or break line of sight without taking damage.

It is very easy to identify and be cautious when Twisted Razzle and Dazzle's circle is nearby. You might be tempted to run if the circle sticks out of a wall, but doing so is likely to put someone else in danger. This can also become a problem if you're being chased in their circle. Make sure that nobody (including you) will get hurt, then sprint away, safely leaving you and your teammates unharmed. If there is someone else who isn't aware and safe, try to find islands and use speed Items to avoid putting your teammates in danger.

Additionally, you should also be aware if someone else sprints in the circle, where you will take a hit. Warn others if you're doing a Machine in the circle, and make sure that you can hide or escape in time.

"Be sure to tread lightly around this Twisted, or you will regret it. This Twisted will wake up and attack Toons that sprint past. If left undisturbed they will fall back asleep. Walk slow and cautiously around them." -Twisted Research

Twisted Rodger

Twisted Rodger Full Render

Twisted Rodger Render Twisted Rodger is a stationary Twisted that will spawn in a random location on a Floor. Reflecting the investigative nature of his counterpart, he disguises himself as a fake Research Capsule to trick players into activating him. Upon player interaction with this fake Research Capsule, the player will have the PurpleConfusedConfused III and SlowYellowSlow III Debuffs applied to them, and Twisted Rodger will spawn out of the ground and begin charging an attack from his magnifying glass eye. After a short charge time, he will shoot a beam from his eye and inflict one Heart worth of damage to the player. If he does not spot a player for several seconds, he will sink back into the ground and become a fake Research Capsule once again. Like Twisted Razzle & Dazzle Render Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, he requires line of sight to attack the player. His attack is also easy to outrange, which will also cause him to lose interest.

Twisted Rodger's fake Research Capsule can be easily distinguished from a real Research Capsule. If there is nothing in the middle of the capsule or if there are no film strips on the capsule, it is fake. If there are film strips wrapped around the center, it is real. There can only be one fake Research Capsule per Floor. If you interact with the fake capsule, immediately sprint and get behind something to avoid the attack. Not sprinting will most likely not let you escape in time. If someone else picks it up, you will not be inflicted with the slowness Debuff, so run away. You do not need to hide behind an object. If possible, try continuously getting in and out of his range as a lower Stealth Toon to save your teammate without taking a hit.

"This deceptive Twisted lures unsuspecting Toons with the promise of knowledge. When the opportunity strikes, this Twisted rises from the ground and attacks any Toon who ventures too close. Be sure to have a keen and careful eye!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Teagan

Twisted Teagan Full Render

Twisted Teagan Render Twisted Teagan is a roaming Twisted similar to other Twisteds who wander the halls aimlessly. Reflecting her Toon counterpart's ability, she will steal a fourth or an eighth of your Tapes Tapes depending on how many you have when she hits you, while also being slightly faster than the average Twisted.

She doesn't pose much of a threat, but the additional Tape loss can be bad if Dandy Render Dandy sells a useful Item. If you are playing as Sprout Render Sprout, be extra careful to not lose Tapes to her, as you can end up losing your chance to heal a critically injured teammate.

"A more uncommon Twisted, Teagan has let her greed take over. This Twisted will steal a considerable amount of a Toon's Tapes when she attacks them. Be sure to spend your tapes while you have them!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Toodles

Twisted Toodles Full Render
Walking Twisted Toodles (When not chasing a player)

Walking Twisted Toodles (When not chasing a player)

Twisted Toodles Render Twisted Toodles is a roaming Twisted that possesses no special abilities. Reflecting her childish counterpart, her attention span is weak, and she can easily lose track of the player. However, she is the seventh fastest Twisted in the game alongside Twisted Shelly Render Twisted Shelly and easily one of the biggest threats on any Floor. Before update 0.2.0, Toodles was originally a common Twisted.

Make sure to preserve at least 90 Stamina so you can run behind an object. Usually if you get behind an object and if she is an okay distance away, you will lose her easily. If you are a slow Toon or low on Stamina, use Items to escape quickly or ask for help from your teammates.

"Do not let this Twisted's size fool you. Toodles is a volatile Twisted that chases Toons with her high speed. Thankfully, this Twisted's attention span is 'rather low', so if you can get out of sight you should be safe from her." -Twisted Research

Rare Twisteds have a spawn rate of 8 on a given Floor. Additionally, they each have an ability that is capable of directly hindering or harming the player.

Twisted Blot

Twisted Blot Full Render
One of Twisted Blot's hands

One of Twisted Blot's hands

Twisted Blot Render Twisted Blot is a stationary Rare Twisted who summons colossal Ichor arms from the ground.

Twisted Blot will lay stationary in one spot on the map randomly, he is passive and will not attack the player. However, he summons 2 Ichor hands in random locations around the map that attack any Toons nearby.

Once in a while, Twisted Blot will fall asleep for around 10 seconds and move the locations of his placed Ichor hands. Running through the hands is also the only way to get Research on Twisted Blot.

"This silent Twisted conserves its energy by staying in one place. When his arms vanish underground, colossal hands emerge elsewhere, striking any Toon who dares approach." -Twisted Research

Twisted Flutter

Twisted Flutter Full Render

Twisted Flutter Render Twisted Flutter is a fast Rare Twisted who hunts down Toons similar to Twisted Toodles Render Twisted Toodles. If you see this Twisted, get out of her sight, as her roaming speed is the same as her chasing speed.

While Twisted Flutter has an attention span similar to Twisted Toodles, she makes up for this with the ability to target a player even if the player isn't in her line of sight. So, with this in mind, it's important to stay as far away from her as possible, even if she isn't facing your direction.

Twisted Flutter has the unique ability to not pause while roaming like other Twisteds will. Another thing is that after she attacks, she will not stop. The only way to get her to stop moving is to use the Blushy Bat Blushy Bat Trinket.

Always try to hide on the direct opposite of an object from her, as she otherwise may catch you. Even if you are further away from her, but still in the same room, try to get behind a wall or island.

"This Twisted is as dangerous as it is agile, constantly on the move with nimble speed and never stopping to rest. Flutter will quickly patrol the room for any easy targets, so be vigilant and hide when she's near." -Twisted Research

Twisted Gigi

Twisted Gigi Full Render
Twisted Gigi in-game

Twisted Gigi in-game

Twisted Gigi Render Twisted Gigi is a medium-sized, roaming Twisted that has a similar ranged ability to that of Twisted Goob Render Twisted Goob and Twisted Scraps Render Twisted Scraps. However, Twisted Gigi has the ability to take your Items from you when she attacks, and her ranged attack does not do damage. She takes your Items from your slots in the order they're listed (1, 2, 3, and 4 when playing Bassie Render Bassie), with a cooldown of 10 seconds. If you do not have any Items on hand, she will not use her ranged attack and will only attack when you get too close. This Twisted's speed is similar to that of Twisted Yatta Render Twisted Yatta, so it's advised to avoid Twisted Gigi, whether she steals your important Items or not.

This Twisted can be a big hazard if you have Items that are essential for your survival like heals. She can steal Items that help you escape in an emergency or complete a Machine quickly, or even a healing Item. Always have a trash Item (or an Items from a lower tier list) in your first inventory slot to act as a meat shield for your actually important Items. If she sees you, break line of sight if you have good Items, as she can't steal without line of sight. Then run away and hide to lose her.

"If you have your hands full with items, this Twisted is your worst nightmare. Gigi has the ability to reach out and snatch items from afar. Don't let her steal your important survival tools!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Glisten

Twisted Glisten Full Render

Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten has a meter above his head while he is roaming aimlessly around the map. The meter gradually increases when a Toon is not near him for a certain period of time. (specifically 70 seconds.) When the meter is full or when Panic Mode activates, Twisted Glisten will become extremely fast and aggressive with no possible way to decrease the meter whatsoever. When Twisted Glisten is angered, he will not stop moving and is as fast as Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble, making him the second fastest Non-Lethal Twisted in the game. He does not beeline for the players, but instead roams around like a normal Twisted.

It is recommended to have someone without a currently needed role to “babysit” Twisted Glisten. Following him around and occasionally leave him for a few moments to not have Twisteds chase you. Don't leave him too long, or he will become angered. Remind everyone to tell you when to abandon him if you play this role as his state in panic mode can easily kill you if you are not prepared to run away. If he gets aggravated before Panic Mode, always hide when he is near, or you'll get caught.

"This Twisted has had his sturdy ego completely shattered and is on the verge of being overcome by Ichor. His fear and loneliness should be treated by staying at his side. It is not advised to leave him to succumb to his affliction." -Twisted Research

Twisted Goob

Twisted Goob Full Render
Twisted Goob's ability

Twisted Goob's ability

Twisted Goob Render Twisted Goob is a roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting his Goob Render arm-stretching counterpart, his special ability allows him to grab the players from range and drag them in to deal one Heart worth of contact damage, with a cooldown of 10 seconds. Much like every other Twisteds' attacks, his ability requires line of sight with the player, and it will not drag the player toward him if it connects through objects.

Twisted Goob can end runs if you or your teammates aren't paying attention. His ability to pull Toons from great distances can waste the stamina you used to get somewhere, or pull you to other Twisteds, leaving you in even greater danger. If you can get out of line of sight fast enough, you'll be fine. He stops when he attacks, making distracting him significantly harder than other Twisteds; So be on the lookout.

"Underestimating this Twisted's capabilities will be fatal. This Twisted is quite dangerous, due to his ability to outstretch his arms and snatch up Toons. If you spot this Twisted get out of sight as soon as possible!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Scraps

Twisted Scraps Full Render

Twisted Scraps Render Twisted Scraps is a roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting her Scraps Render tail-using counterpart, her special ability allows her to attack the player at range using her tail, dealing one heart's worth of damage, with a cooldown of 12 seconds.

Much like other Twisteds' attacks, her ability requires line of sight with the player and will not damage them if it connects through objects, barriers, and islands.

Like Twisted Goob, it is incredibly important to pay attention to your surroundings, or else your run may end. Unlike him, Twisted Scraps' Ability acts more like a sniper, damaging from great distances, thus it is crucial to stick by potential hiding spots. You'll have to use up Stamina to dodge her attack, but unlike her brother, unsuccessful dodges won't waste your Stamina's worth. It is also important to note that, like other ranged Twisteds, she will stop moving before attacking, making distracting additionally troublesome.

"This Twisted is similar to her brother Goob in terms of abilities. She possesses a snake-like tail that she can outstretch and attack Toons from a great distance. Be sure to get out of sight when you see her!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Squirm

Twisted Squirm Full Render

Twisted Squirm Render Twisted Squirm is a stationary Rare Twisted that searches the halls of Gardenview for Books to feed on. If a Toon is within close proximity to where currently he is, he'll lunge down, grabbing on and forcing the player into a quick-time event that damages them by 1 Heart if failed.

If the player manages to beat the quick-time event or they are hit during it he'll run away to another location. Research can only be achieved from him by activating the quick-time event.

Twisted Squirm will move locations roughly every two minutes if left with no target. However, if the quick-time event is encountered, the timer is ended early and he'll move immediately afterwards.

As his description suggests, looking up at the ceiling is one of the best ways to avoid Twisted Squirm. Try to make a habit of checking the ceiling, and be cautious around doorframes or certain corners that allow him to sneak attack you. Make sure you're always prepared to complete the quick-time event, in the unfortunate case you end up getting grabbed.

"This ravenous Twisted hangs from the ceiling looking for books to eat. Look up, or you might just end up in this Twisted's grip. if caught, your best chance is to struggle free before it's too late." -Twisted Research

Main Character Twisteds have a unique spawn rate compared to the other Twisteds, which starts off very low and gets progressively higher as the Floor count increases, making them practically guaranteed on runs with a high Floor count. Main Character Twisteds cannot spawn before Floor 5 (0.6.1). During events, Event Main Character Twisteds (Twisted Bassie Render Twisted Bassie, Twisted Bobette Render Twisted Bobette, Twisted Gourdy Render Twisted Gourdy) are guaranteed to spawn every 20 Floors during their event.

All Main Character Twisteds have unique sound effects associated with them, usually footsteps along with another ambient effect. This serves somewhat as a counter to the Main Character Twisteds, as it makes their position on the map apparent, even during Blackouts or before the elevator door opens. The closer the Main Character Twisted is to you, the louder their footsteps.

Refusing to buy from Dandy Render Dandy 3 or more times in a row decreases the chance for Mains to spawn.[2] Buying itself does not increase the spawn of Mains, but prevents their spawn chance from going down. Doing so also makes sure Twisted Dandy Render Twisted Dandy is not added to the pool of Twisteds that can spawn, which would lower their chances even further.

Twisted Astro

Twisted Astro Full Render
Twisted Astro afflicting Tired III on a player

Twisted Astro afflicting Tired III on a player

Twisted Astro Render Twisted Astro is a large, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting his Astro Render support-oriented counterpart, his unique ability allows him to regress Machine progress if he is alerted by a missed Skill Check. Twisted Astro will drain about half the current progress of the Machine, meaning he'll have a small effect on barely completed Machines and a big one if it's almost completed. Twisted Astro will also give the TiredGreenTired III Debuff if you are being chased by him, which causes your stamina regeneration to decrease drastically. Along with his draining ability, he has above-average speed and detection range, paired with a long attention span.

Twisted Astro has soft-sounding footsteps and an ethereal, space-like ambience emanating from him. This can make him the hardest Main Character to immediately detect.

A Machine before and after Twisted Astro's drain

A Machine before and after Twisted Astro's drain

Due to his TiredGreenTired III Debuff that he can inflict when chasing someone, you want Toons with high movement speed like Tisha Render Tisha, Pebble Render Pebble, or Goob Render Goob to distract him, as they won't be using their stamina much compared to other Toons when distracting. Try to avoid him when playing low movement speed Toons like Vee Render Vee, Rodger Render Rodger, Scraps Render Scraps, or even Shrimpo Render Shrimpo, as you can easily consume all your stamina; Speed or Stamina Items can be very helpful against this Debuff.

"One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. Overwhelmed by guilt and despair, this Twisted puts his grief on others. If you fail a Skill Check while on a machine and hide from him, Astro will steal completion from that Machine. Skill Check carefully!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Pebble

Twisted Pebble Full Render

Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble is a massive, roaming dog that growls loudly around the halls aimlessly, being the fastest Non-Lethal Twisted, with Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten and Twisted Bobette Render Twisted Bobette being very close behind. His attention span is quite modest, which makes him easy to lose if the player is able to break line of sight before he catches up. He has extremely fast speed and is very hard to get away from if he spots you in bad terrain or gets close and you have average mobility. Because of his high speed, Twisted Pebble is extremely dangerous and should be avoided if possible.

Twisted Pebble produces heavy, thumping footsteps and feral noises when roaming or chasing.

Slower Toons should not dare get chased, easily being outran or being barely faster. Stay behind cover if he's fairly close and maintain knowledge on his location to prevent deaths.

Toons with 2Statistics Star Movement Speed can BARELY outrun Twisted Pebble before Panic Mode, and they need to be sprinting while equipping Pink Bow Pink Bow. Even then, they will only be 0.2 speed faster than Twisted Pebble, which means that Twisted Pebble can very easily catch up when the Toon is not running in a perfectly straight line. Toons with 1 Star Movement Speed, however, cannot outrun Twisted Pebble without Items, even if Pink Bow and Ribbon Spool Ribbon Spool are being used.

"One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. This ferocious beast will stop at nothing to defend his owner and protect his territory. Highly dangerous due to his immense speed and powerful eyesight." -Twisted Research

Twisted Vee

Twisted Vee Full Render

Twisted Vee Render Twisted Vee is a large, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting her media personality counterpart, her unique ability allows her to bombard players with pop-up advertisements, which need to be closed by clicking the red "X" button in the top right corner of the pop-up window, otherwise, they block the view of the player's screen. She will send these pop-up ads to all players upon entering a Floor and every 45 seconds afterwards in groups of three. If you don't close the pop-up ads, they will disappear a bit before the next batch. They pose no direct threat besides their tendency to cover Skill Checks. She will also send a single pop-up ad and inflict the SlowYellowSlow II Debuff to a player she has spotted before beginning a chase, though they are still relatively harmless and pose no threat beyond their ability to block the player's vision. The Slow II Debuff she creates can make her hard to escape, and her usage of it makes it significantly harder for any Toons to attempt the strategy of distracting her.

In addition to pop-ups, she possesses a second unique ability. If a player fails a Skill Check, she will run as if she is in a chase to the source of that failed Skill Check from anywhere on the Floor.

Vee's footsteps are mechanical in nature. She will additionally make agitated electronic noises when spotting a player. Vee's footsteps also leave a trail of Ichor.

"One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. This Twisted has eyes everywhere, messing up Machines would not be advised. She will also attempt to distract Toons with worthless ads and pop-ups while she goes for the kill." -Twisted Research

Twisted Shelly

Twisted Shelly Full Render

Twisted Shelly chasing Shelly

Twisted Shelly Walking

Twisted Shelly Walking

Twisted Shelly Render Twisted Shelly is a medium-sized, roaming Twisted that applies the PurpleConfusedConfused I Debuff to all players on the Floor she resides in, such that Extraction Speed is reduced by 25% whenever she is on a Floor. Reflecting her archaeologist counterpart, Twisted Shelly's body is shaped like a theropod, and she has a high running speed similar to that of Twisted Toodles Render Twisted Toodles, making her a big threat on any Floor she's located in. It is next-to-impossible to outwalk her without Trinkets due to her running speed. However, her attention span is somewhat low compared to the other Main Twisteds, being the same as Twisted Shrimpo Render Twisted Shrimpo's attention span.

Twisted Shelly's footsteps sound very similar to Twisted Vee Render Twisted Vee's footsteps, although more spaced out like Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble's footsteps. She occasionally lets out loud growls and breathy hisses. She also leaves puddles of Ichor after every step.

"One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. The blatant ignorance of her existence by everyone around her has enraged her. Her presence makes every Toon extract slower, and she uses her form to her advantage in terms of speed." -Twisted Research

Twisted Sprout

Twisted Sprout Full Render
Twisted Sprout chasing

Twisted Sprout chasing Sprout

Twisted Sprout Render Twisted Sprout is a very large, roaming main Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. He spawns a large puddle of Ichor with a tendril below when spotting a Toon. When he spots you, he will emit a low growl as the tendrils appear from the ground, giving a warning that he is about to attack. He will spawn the tendrils every 10 seconds, which linger for 15 seconds before they submerge. However, he has below-average speed, and his tendrils are easy to dodge. His attention span is a bit lengthy at 3 seconds, but its still easy to avoid him.

Twisted Sprout's footsteps are very crunchy sounding, like someone stepping on leaves. This is later modified into a more harsh scrapping sound effect. He will sometimes let out gravelly breaths and low growls. After every step he leaves a small puddle of Ichor that goes away a few seconds after.

"One of the Main Characters of Dandy's World. This Twisted makes up for his slower speed by summoning deadly tendrils from the ground that strike at nearby Toons. Do not let this lonely Twisted trap you with him!" -Twisted Research

Lethal Twisteds currently have a unique way of spawning, they need to be summoned instead of spawning of chance. They kill Toons in a single hit regardless of health left.

Like Main Twisteds, Lethal Twisteds have sound cues that help differentiate them from normal Twisteds.

When the conditions to spawn a Lethal Twisted are met, it adds the chance to the pool of Twisted chances, causing the chance of all other rarities of Twisteds (With the exception of Common Twisteds due to their already high spawn chance.) to fall.

Currently, there are 2 Lethal Twisteds, those being Twisted Dandy Render Twisted Dandy, and Twisted Dyle Render Twisted Dyle.

Twisted Dandy

Twisted Dandy Full Render

Twisted Dandy Render Twisted Dandy is a massive, dangerous, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting his Dandy Render enigmatic counterpart, he has a unique spawning condition that must be met before he has a chance to spawn; Players must not buy any Items from Dandy's Shop for at least three Floors that he appears on. Each time every surviving player skips a shop, Dandy will become increasingly upset. Upon skipping the third shop, Dandy will become angry and Twisted Dandy will have a chance to spawn. On all subsequent shops that players skip, this chance will increase; on the third time that you continue to ignore him, the music in his shop will stop playing, and Twisted Dandy is almost guaranteed to spawn on the next Floor. Once this occurs (or a player purchases an Item from his shop) he will go back to his cheerful self, and players must skip another three shops in order to have a chance at spawning Twisted Dandy again.

Twisted Dandy continuously emits the sound of a lullaby version of music box 'Clair de Lune', and he makes stomping noises as he walks. These sounds are loud enough that they can be used to determine his location and if he has spawned on a Floor.

Twisted Dandy acts like a normal roaming Twisted with average detection range, but he has a very long attention span and Twisted Shrimpo Render Twisted Shrimpo's speed. However, any player he successfully attacks will be instantly killed, making him a uniquely grave threat on any Floor he appears on. Twisted Dandy additionally has the ability to immediately beeline at full speed for Machines when a Toon finishes a Machine.

Twisted Dandy can kill the player in one hit, regardless of Trinkets and how many Heart the player has.

"The star of the show. The one who runs the Ichor operation. It's all his fault." -Twisted Research

Twisted Dyle

Twisted Dyle Full Render

Twisted Dyle Render Twisted Dyle is a massive, dangerous, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Reflecting his Dyle Render enigmatic counterpart, he has a unique spawning condition that must be met before he has a chance to spawn; To spawn Dyle, you have to select the TIME'S UP Icon TIME'S UP Card whilst voting. Doing so will begin a unique challenge Floor where Twisted Dyle is guaranteed to spawn. Upon completing the Floor, every alive Toon will gain a permanent 50 stamina boost.

Twisted Dyle continuously emits the sound of a clock ticking, and he makes slithering as he moves. These sounds are loud enough that they can be used to determine his location and if he has spawned on a Floor. His clock ticking will get faster the longer he chases a Toon. Dyle will also get a massive speed boost (about 3/4th of his bar) whenever a person fails a skill check. His meter above his head shows how much of a speed boost he has gained.

Twisted Dyle's meter acts differently than Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten's meter, the former going down at a period of time, and the latter filling up all the way to enraged. (There may be some lore between these two Toons according to some of Dandy's Gossip, however, this is unconfirmed)

Twisted Dyle acts like a normal roaming Twisted with average detection range, however he is extremely slow and has a short attention span. But, he has the gimmick of getting faster the longer he chases a Toon. Every time he kills a Toon, his speed is reset.

Due to Dyle's immense speed, it is IMPOSSIBLE to distract him without the use of speed Items.

Twisted Dyle can kill the player in one hit, regardless of Trinkets and how many Heart the player has.

"A character never seen within the show of Dandy's World. The one who operates and oversees Gardenview's transportation. He's seen the outside." -Twisted Research

Event Twisteds are limited-time Twisteds that only spawn during their respective events. Currently, there are 12 Event Twisteds, 3 of each rarity (excluding Lethal). The only changes making the Event Twisteds different from their original rarity is their guaranteed spawns on the event Floors.

Event Twisteds have the spawn rate of their respective rarities, but at least one is guaranteed to spawn every 5 Floors during their respective events. Holiday Main Character Twisteds are guaranteed to spawn on Floor 20 during their respective events.

Twisted Rudie Full Render

Twisted Rudie Render Twisted Rudie is a Common roaming Twisted who roams during the Christmas Event. He possesses no special abilities other than his red glowing nose.

"A swift and agile Twisted, Rudie's quick movements and enhanced senses make it a formidable hunter. While not as powerful as some other Twisteds, its ability to maintain chase for longer periods makes it particularly dangerous in extended encounters." -Twisted Research

Twisted Eggson Full Render

Twisted Eggson Render Twisted Eggson is a Common roaming Twisted who roams during the Easter Event. He possesses no special abilities.

"Twisted Eggson may look soft and friendly, but his twisted form is relentless in pursuit of toons who draw his attention." -Twisted Research

Twisted Ribecca Full Render

Twisted Ribecca Render Twisted Ribecca is a Common roaming Twisted who roams during the Halloween Event. She possesses no special abilities.

"One of the most common Twisteds you'll encounter. Overcome by Ichor, this Twisted has the innate urge to chase others down. Thankfully, it appears this Twisted doesn't have any abilities to aid her." -Twisted Research

Twisted Ginger Full Render

Twisted Ginger Render Twisted Ginger is an Uncommon roaming Twisted who roams during the Christmas Event. She is extremely slow but has a special gimmick of having an extremely long attention span, that being 10 seconds.

Due to Twisted Ginger's long attention span, slower Toons with most of their Stamina used up may struggle successfully losing this Twisted's attention. It is recommended to find a spot that can constantly block Line of Sight to loop her around to help run down her lengthy attention span timer.

"This Twisted may be slow, but don't let your guard down too quickly! She is relentless in tracking her targets down with a notable persistence. Make sure you stay out of sight long enough to lose her interest!" -Twisted Research

Twisted Flyte Full Render

Twisted Flyte Render Twisted Flyte is an Uncommon roaming Twisted who roams during the Easter Event. He has the same gimmick as his Twisted Flutter Render sister, but moves slower.

"This Twisted is as dangerous as it is agile, similar to Twisted Flutter. This Twisted uses wings to quickly patrol a Floor, never stopping to rest, though he is unable to match the exact speeds of Twisted Flutter." -Twisted Research

Twisted Soulvester Full Render

Twisted Soulvester Render Twisted Soulvester is an Uncommon roaming Twisted who roams during the Halloween Event. He has a very similar gimmick to Twisted Tisha Render Twisted Tisha. However, while Tisha simply has a longer idle duration with otherwise typical Twisted behaviors, Soulvester has altered pathing patterns, always determining to go to Machines to scout them, often camping Machine locations and forcing Toons to wait for him to move on.

"A more uncommon Twisted, Soulvester is driven by his desire to guard. Often, this Twisted is seen standing guard by machines. He is slower than most Twisteds, but his higher interest time makes him more difficult to lose." -Twisted Research

Twisted Coal Full Render

Twisted Coal Render Twisted Coal is a fast Rare Twisted who roams during the Christmas Event. Normally she is a slow Twisted, but during Blackouts she gains more detection range and speed, adding up to make her as fast and as dangerous as Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble.

In normal Floors, use similar strategies you would use against Twisted Shrimpo, with some caution for her even longer attention span than him. In Blackouts, use similar strategies you would use against Twisted Pebble, with extra caution for her darker appearance and lack of audio cues.

"This Twisted is not difficult to deal with in most scenarios, though within the event of a blackout she will be a dangerous encounter that may lead to one's early demise. With heightened speed, it's best to steer clear of her in the dark." -Twisted Research

Twisted Cocoa Full Render

Twisted Cocoa Render Twisted Cocoa is a Rare Twisted who roams during the Easter Event. She has the ability to jump over obstacles while roaming and mid-chase, allowing her to catch up swiftly to Toons paired with her fast speed.

Due to Cocoa's very fast speed, 4Statistics Star Movement Speed or lower Toons cannot outwalk her while being chased, even with Dog Plush Dog Plush and Speedy Shoes Speedy Shoes. For that reason alone, keeping distance by running from her or sprint tapping is a great strategy if you plan on distracting her or just escaping her, the latter of which is much easier given her low attention span.

"Don't underestimate this Twisted. While often patrolling a Floor at a slower pace, once she has her sight on someone, she will quickly speed up by hopping towards her target, often over objects. Thankfully, her attention can drop almost as quickly." -Twisted Research

Twisted Eclipse Full Render

Twisted Eclipse Render Twisted Eclipse is a Rare Twisted who roams during the Halloween Event. She will emit a howling sound that will attract all non-occupied Twisteds upon spotting a Toon.

If you are spotted by Twisted Eclipse, run as fast as you can from the location you were spotted from, as Twisteds will likely run to that location due to her ability.

"This Rare Twisted's howl summons other unoccupied Twisteds within range, triggering a pack hunt in most instances. If you don't want to get caught, avoid her on Floors with large amounts of Twisted's." -Twisted Research

Twisted Bassie Full Render

One of Bassie's flower traps on the Floor

One of Bassie's flower traps on the Floor

Twisted Bassie Render Twisted Bassie is a Main Character Twisted who roams during the Easter Event. While chasing a Toon, she can summon vines from the ground that grant SlowYellowSlow II that spike up into thorns, dealing one Heart if you stay on the vines for too long. Additionally, she'll passively create three flower traps while she's on the Floor that will randomly generate around the map and will slow down any Toons near them.

Twisted Bassie produces creaky, Floorboard-resembling footsteps, paired with the occasional sound of her distorted crying. The flowers she produces also make the distorted crying sound when walking near them.

If Twisted Bassie is present on a Floor, avoid her flowers as much as you can, and try to not get spotted by any other Twisteds if you get caught in one of them. Additionally, avoid being seen by Twisted Bassie, as her above average speed can be troublesome for slower Toons.

"One of the Holiday Main Characters of Dandy's World. The fear of never living up to others' expectations has caused her to act out in desperation. When occupying a Floor, this Twisted grows Ichor-drenched flowers that slow those too close to them, allowing Twisteds a better chance to catch their target. Watch out for her thorns." -Twisted Research

Twisted Bobette Full Render

Twisted Bobette Render Twisted Bobette is a Main Character Twisted who roams during the Christmas Event. Due to her purpose to craft toys, she is able to hear when Toons pick up an Item not including Research Capsules, and will run over at extreme speeds.

Twisted Bobette produces plastic-like footsteps, with a windy-snow ambience and soft sounds of bells jingling coming from her.

Similar to Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble, slower Toons should try to stay away from her vision, easily being outran or being barely faster. Find a place to hide when she is near or run away to stay safe.

"One of the Holiday Main Characters of Dandy's World. Created to craft and deliver toys for everyone has left her envious. If not pre-occupied she will break into full sprint at the sound of a picked up an item in hopes of catching whoever she finds greedy. Be mindful, her speeds are hard to escape." -Twisted Research

Twisted Gourdy Full Render

Twisted Gourdy Render Twisted Gourdy is a Main Character Twisted who roams during the Halloween Event. He functions similarly to Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten, but slightly different. Instead, he will remain stationary in one spot on the Floor, over time a bar over his head will fill up, and when the bar is complete he becomes enraged.

To prevent Twisted Gourdy from becoming enraged, giving him Items will diminish the progress on his bar. However, if you want Research you will need to make him enraged. Upon being enraged, Twisted Gourdy receives a massive amount of speed, being even faster than Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble or Twisted Glisten. His speed paired with his high attention span makes getting away from him extremely difficult if you aren't prepared.

"One of the Holiday Main Characters of Dandy's World. Unstable and on the verge of being overcome by Ichor. If Toons fail to appease him, he reacts in blinded distress, reaching an uncontrollable state where his heightened speed and awareness make an escape nearly impossible." -Twisted Research

Trivia

  • There are currently 41 Twisteds, as well as 12 Event Twisteds.
    • Of those 41 Twisteds, 11 of them are Common, 10 are Uncommon, 10 are Rare, 8 are Main Character, and 2 are Lethal.
  • A Twisted's Walk and Run Speed always increases by 20% during Panic Mode (15% if the Suppression Icon Suppression card is picked).
  • Most of the Twisteds bare mechanics or behaviors relate back to their Toon counterparts in some way:
    • Twisted Toodles Render Twisted Toodles has a low attention span, which most likely comes from her age.
    • Twisted Boxten Render Twisted Boxten and Twisted Poppy Render Twisted Poppy are acknowledged by their descriptions to be some of the most common encounters with easy to avoid mechanics, with the real Boxten Render Boxten and Poppy Render Poppy being the two beginner characters the player can choose from upon first starting the game. This is the same case for a few other Common Twisteds, notably Common Event Twisted's who share this same trait.
    • Twisted Yatta Render Twisted Yatta's above average speed reflects her Yatta Render Toon counterpart's 4Statistics Star Movement Speed.
    • Twisted Brightney Render Twisted Brightney gives herself away with her red light, much like how the actual Brightney Render Brightney's Ability can expose the location of Twisteds during a Blackout and has a larger light radius. She can additionally have a chance to cause a Blackout herself, whereas the regular Brightney's ability aids in dealing with Blackouts.
    • Twisted Finn Render Twisted Finn's mechanic, giving the player the SlowYellowSlow III Debuff after completing a Machine is a reference to his Finn Render Toon counterpart which gives the player a speed buff when a Machine is completed.
    • Twisted Teagan Render Twisted Teagan steals Tapes Tapes from the Toons, while her Teagan Render Toon counterpart needs to collect Tapes for self-healing.
    • Twisted Goob Render Twisted Goob can pull Toons towards himself, and vice versa with Twisted Scraps Render Twisted Scraps (minus the movement), just like their playable counterparts.
    • Twisted Flutter Render Twisted Flutter's agility and speed reflect her Flutter Render Toon counterpart that is fast and has an Ability that makes her dash quickly.
    • Twisted Flyte Render Twisted Flyte's lower speed but higher attention span could reflect his interactions with his little sister and overall role as a lookout, where he admits Flutter is a faster flier than him and likes to keep an eye on others.
    • Twisted Gigi Render Twisted Gigi can take Items from your inventory, while her Gigi Render Toon counterpart's Active Ability grants a random Item in your inventory.
    • Twisted Razzle & Dazzle Render Twisted Razzle & Dazzle alternate between two different states, similarly to Razzle & Dazzle Render the playable's Comedy/Tragedy Passive Ability.
    • Twisted Rodger Render Twisted Rodger's mimicry of a Research Capsule replicates the Rodger Render Toon counterpart's Detective Passive Ability which grants players more research, which also applies to capsules.
    • Twisted Shrimpo Render Twisted Shrimpo's slow speed and high persistence reflects Shrimpo Render Shrimpo's poor stats and playability. His demeanour is especially prominent in his "lost sight" animation, which has him hitting the sides of his head in frustration when losing a chase. This references Shrimpo's angry attitude. His mouth also appears to be sealed shut with Ichor, reflecting how his Toon counterpart constantly yells about how much he hates everything and everyone.
    • Twisted Connie Render Twisted Connie's ability to hide inside Machines reflect how her Connie Render Toon counterpart's allows her to become invisible and untargetable. She is also incredibly slow whilst mobile, alike to Connie's 1 Star Movement Speed.
      • Also in one of her Toon's counterpart's dialogue, Connie mentioned "It would've been easier if I just haunted the Machine, but whatever." Which is most likely the reference to her Twisted's ability.
    • Twisted Ginger Render Twisted Ginger's slow speed and long attention span reflects on how her Ginger Render Toon counterpart has very high Stealth and slow Movement Speed.
    • Twisted Eclipse Render Twisted Eclipse's ability to howl to attract other Twisteds reflects on how her Eclipse Render Toon counterpart has low Stealth. Her above average speed also reflects how her Toon counterpart has 4 Star Movement Speed.
      • Her ability to howl also represents how wolves communicate their location to their pack in order to gather around, warn about nearby rivals, etc.
    • Twisted Pebble Render Twisted Pebble's high speed reflects his Pebble Render Toon counterpart's high Movement Speed and Stamina, being one of the fastest in the game.
    • Twisted Vee Render Twisted Vee's pop-ups are similar to regular Vee Render Vee's Vee Ability IconMic Check Ability (information-based Ability that is triggered with a cooldown), and running to failed Skill Checks is similar to her Camera Hijack Passive Ability (gain information on Machines under a certain condition). These pop-ups also reference her role as a gameshow host, in which one must keep the audience's attention (i.e. "Gameshow—JOIN IN!" & "LOOK AT ME!") as much as possible.
    • Twisted Shelly Render Twisted Shelly's Debuff reducing Extraction Speed reflects how her Shelly Render Toon counterpart's Shelly Ability IconInspiration Ability increases Extraction Speed. In addition, similarly to how Shelly likes extinct dinosaurs, Twisted Shelly's body is shaped and has a posture much like that of a theropod dinosaur.
    • Twisted Astro Render Twisted Astro's soft, quiet footsteps make him difficult to notice immediately, which reflects how his Astro Render Toon counterpart has the highest Stealth in the game. His ability to apply the tired Debuff (decreasing stamina regen) can also possibly be a counterpart to how the playable character can restore the stamina of Toons around him.
    • Twisted Sprout Render Twisted Sprout's ability to damage Toons at range reflects his Sprout Render Toon counterpart's ability to heal at range. His impressive height exaggerates Sprout's and his traumatized expression likely refers to how much he cares about others (the actions he takes as a Twisted are the exact opposite of regular Sprout's morals—hurting instead of healing).
    • Twisted Dandy Render Twisted Dandy's possession of a unique spawn condition is similar to how Dandy Render Dandy can only be used by developers.
      • Him dealing 99 Heart of damage on Toons could reflect to his Toon counterpart's health too (99 Hearts).
    • Twisted Blot Render Twisted Blot is able to summon his arms to attack Toons. Meanwhile, Blot Render Blot can summon Blot Jr. to protect the other Toons and himself from damage.
    • Twisted Dyle Render Twisted Dyle's body is shaped like a snake, which is likely a reference to how his Dyle Render Toon counterpart has a (potential) fear or disliking of snakes. His speed increasing also could be a reference to how trains quickly speed up, linking to Dyle's interest in trains.
    • Twisted Soulvester Render Twisted Soulvester's mechanic of guarding Machines refers to his Soulvester Render Toon counterpart's role as a knight. His slow speed also links up with Soulvester's 1 Star Movement Speed.
      • This could also mimic his sister's mechanic of possessing Machines.
    • Twisted Gourdy Render Twisted Gourdy's drastic speed reflects normal Gourdy Render Gourdy's 4 Star Movement speed. His pleads for his parents also reference Gourdy's desires to see them again.
    • Twisted Squirm Render Twisted Squirm always takes breaks to eat books before attacking any other Toons, which parallels the fact that his Squirm Render Toon counterpart eats many books, and when he eats a book while activating his ability, he gains 100% extraction speed.
    • Twisted Cocoa Render Twisted Cocoa is able to jump over obstacles, something that parallels her being a chocolate bunny, animals that usually hop in media.
  • Twisted Dandy and Twisted Dyle are the only Twisteds in the game with counterparts inaccessible to the public, being only accessible to the developers (Qwelver and the other BlushCrunch Studio developers).
  • Twisted Vee's ads depict her Toon counterpart rather than her Twisted form.
  • Most of the Main Character Twisteds have something in common with each other (including Lethal Twisteds sometimes).
    • They all have their own audio cues like walking, ambience, etc. (including Lethals).
    • They all share a special attack sound (including Lethals, but excluding the Event Mains. Twisted Bassie Render Twisted Bassie uses the normal attack sound, while Twisted Bobette Render Twisted Bobette and Twisted Gourdy have their own attack sounds).
      • This sound is from Left 4 Dead, called "tackled_1". Lethal Twisteds play this sound at 75% speed.
      • Twisted Sprout is the only non-Event Main to not have this attack sound.
    • They all have Ichor VFX, which can be dripping Ichor, extra Ichor particles, footprints or some other trail, usually when they attack and/or move (including Lethals).
    • They all are heavily modified from their original Toon counterparts (including Lethals).
    • They all have an attack cooldown of 1 second (excluding Twisted Bobette, who has a 5-second cooldown).
    • They all have abilities that hinder your ability to escape them.
      • Twisted Pebble, Twisted Dyle, Twisted Bobette, and Twisted Gourdy rely on pure chase speed to make running away very difficult in addition to their heightened spatial awareness.
      • Twisted Sprout and Twisted Bassie place obstacles around the map that either hurt you or slow you down if treading too close, making escaping difficult with some parts of the map sometimes completely barred off. They also are currently the only Main Character Twisteds to have a ranged attack.
      • Twisted Dandy charges towards completed Machines, making you have to maneuver around Twisted Dandy if you want to go somewhere else. Additionally, his high attention span makes losing him quite difficult.
      • Twisted Astro and Twisted Vee are currently the only Main Character Twisteds to apply a Debuff whilst chasing Toons, that being TiredGreenTired III and SlowYellowSlow II respectively.
      • Twisted Shelly is an exception, only affecting extraction. She does possess higher chase speed, however, matching Twisted Toodles' Run Speed, as well as a large hitbox.
    • They all have appeared in a game thumbnail except the Event Mains (excluding Twisted Astro).
      • However, Twisted Gourdy has appeared in a game thumbnail, albeit its exclusive to the Halloween Event.
  • Twisted Razzle & Dazzle can spawn in a way that their vines can clip inside the Elevator before the Floor begins.
    • Their vines can also be on the walls if they spawn in the way.
    • The vine can also start floating if it's on an obstacle.
    • Twisted Sprout's ability is also able to spawn in the Elevator.
  • Two of the same Twisted should not appear on a single Floor. The game tries to avoid dupes, but since it is in alpha, it is possible to get them in higher Floors, specifically beyond Floor 15 in a full team. If the game rolls 6+ Main Characters and no Event is currently active, one Main Character would more likely be doubled, though the game will take measures like changing the sixth Main to another rarity.
  • There used to be a glitch where some Twisteds would appear invisible.
  • Twisted Vee's ads sound originates from Tower Heroes whenever a mimic spawns.
  • You can hear a distorted lullaby version of 'Clair de Lune' when Twisted Dandy appears.
  • Currently, Twisted Glisten Render Twisted Glisten and Twisted Gourdy are the only Twisteds capable of speech in-game.
    • Twisted Sprout is the first and currently the only Twisted with audible voice lines.
      • However, due to Ichor influence and corruption, it's possible he can't properly communicate and that ‘Cosmo' is the only word he's capable of saying, so there's no certainty he counts.
  • Twisted Blot, Twisted Connie, Twisted Glisten, Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, Twisted Rodger and Twisted Gourdy are the only Twisteds that, under the right conditions, the player can closely approach without getting hurt.
  • Between v0.3.0 and v0.15.1, the maximum amount of Twisteds per Floor used to be 6 rather than 8.
    • This was probably because there were less of each Twisted in each rarity, so if all Twisteds were Common, there would have to be 2 of each Common Twisted. However, with more Twisteds able to spawn and better code, the maximum was able to be reverted.
  • After update 0.3.0, Twisted Shelly applies PurpleConfusedConfused I instead of PurpleConfusedConfused II.
  • Twisted Pebble is one of the only Twisteds with a custom sound effect, that being the bark of one of the programmer's dogs, as said by Qwel during an art Q&A.
    • The same sound can be heard when using Pebble's Pebble Ability IconSpeak! Ability while playing as him, but its pitch is higher and volume is much lower compared to Twisted Pebble's.
    • The other Twisted to have a custom sound effect is Twisted Sprout, who says Cosmo's name.
  • Purchasing Items from Dandy's Shop does not affect the odds of Main Character Twisteds spawning; the odds are based on how many Floors you go down. Conversely, abstaining for three Floors reduces the chances of Main Character Twisteds spawning, as Twisted Dandy reduces the chances of all other Twisteds to make room for himself to spawn.
  • Before the Twisteds are modeled, the Toon model is rendered in the shape of its Twisted and has black writing to look like Ichor.
  • Twisted Toodles had multiple changes such as her rarity being changed from Common to Uncommon and her running/chasing animation being changed multiple times due to hackers/exploiters using it inappropriately. Originally, she crawled extremely aggressively (as in lunging forward, almost banging her head into the Floor with each "step"), then it became something alike to Twisted Scraps' animations, and finally an altered, less aggressive version of the original that is more akin to a "bouncy waddle".
  • Twisted Gigi, Twisted Soulvester, and Twisted Blot are currently the only Twisteds to have differently shaped pupils.
  • The sound cue Twisted Rodger does when he's about to damage a player originates from the Find The Path Floor in Regretevator. Specifically, the noise the tile makes when you step on the correct one(s) while trying to reach Prototype. However, this is slowed down in-game (Dandy's World).
  • Twisted Coal Render Twisted Coal, Twisted Flyte, Twisted Eggson (Main Page only), Twisted Shelly, Twisted Sprout, Twisted Goob, Twisted Pebble, Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, Twisted Vee, Twisted Blot, Twisted Ribecca, Twisted Gourdy, and Twisted Bassie are the few Twisteds shown in the game's screenshots. (As of v0.13)
    • Twisted Coal is also the first Twisted to be removed from the game's thumbnails.
    • Twisted Flyte is the second Twisted to be removed from the game's thumbnails, along with Twisted Eggson (Main Page only).
    • Twisted Ribecca and Twisted Gourdy are the third Twisteds to be removed from the game's thumbnails.
    • Twisted Bassie is the fourth Twisted to be removed from the game's thumbnails.
  • If you compare the Twisted models to the Toon models, the former is slightly taller and larger than the other.
  • During any Event, if a Twisted spots you for the first time on a Floor, you will earn that Event's Currency. This only occurs once per Twisted, but refreshes per Floor.
  • Despite holding a fake Research Capsule in his card render, Twisted Rodger does not actually hold one in-game.
    • This Research Capsule likely represents his Capsule form in which he is dormant, as well as cheekily referencing Rodger's endearment to research.
  • For a short period of time, there was a bug where Twisted Tisha Render Twisted Tisha, Twisted Boxten, and Twisted Looey didn't have an attack cooldown, making them kill Toons instantly and causing several problems to users.
  • Starting at Floor 10, Rare Twisteds and Main Character Twisteds have an equal chance to spawn. Then, starting at Floor 15, Main Character Twisteds become more common than Rares.
  • Twisted Blot and Twisted Gourdy are the first Rare and Main Character Twisteds respectively to be stationary, where as all other stationary Twisteds have been Uncommon.
  • Lethal Twisteds deal 99 Hearts worth of damage to any Toon they successfully attack.
  • In the in-game game files (the game files in the game, not the lobby), Twisteds are called "[Toon name]Monster".[3]
    • When picking up capsules, the capsules get the Twisted's name by removing "Monster" from their files.
      • In v0.9, Twisted Blot was named "BlottMonster". During the update, there was a short period of time where picking up a Research Capsule would show "Blott Research" instead of "Blot Research".
  • When a Twisted is optimized, their old animations are still kept in the game files.
  • In the game-files, there is a small group of Twisteds labeled as "ranged twisted", with Twisted Astro, Twisted Bassie, Twisted Blot, Twisted Goob, Twisted Gigi, Twisted Scraps, Twisted Sprout, and Twisted Vee.
    • Twisted Vee and Twisted Astro are Ranged Twisteds because they apply Debuffs.
    • Twisted Gigi is a Ranged Twisted because she takes the player's Items.
    • Twisted Blot and Twisted Sprout are Ranged Twisteds because they spawn traps that are usually not near them and can damage you.
    • Twisted Bassie spawns traps in a similar way to Twisted Sprout, however they apply Debuffs at first, before having the ability to damage you.
  • Prior to v0.17.1, Twisted Bassie's flowers worked exactly like the original Ichor Leak's puddles, without the Orange IllnessIllness III Debuff application and them being a lot larger.
  • Twisted Bobette is currently the only Twisted to have a fully revealed cause for becoming one.
    • This cause is Bobette Render Bobette falling off a Christmas tree, with a star cracking her head open and fusing with it.
  • All Common Twisteds (excluding Twisted Shrimpo) have a 1.5-second attention span.
  • They are more likely to be the cause of the “Malfunction” incident that caused Gardenview to close its doors, as told in the original lore.
  • At v0.4, Twisteds became able to hit airborne players, meaning flying glitches could no longer work if meant to be used for distraction or such. However, Twisteds cannot damage players standing on Machines, except for Twisted Dyle.
    • However, this was removed in v0.15.
  • Twisteds Fear MeTwisteds Fear Me is the only achievement with the word "Twisted" in the name.
    • However, the unlock requirement does not rely on Twisteds much, instead being a Floor achievement.
  • Twisteds get deleted when Panic Mode ends.
    • This is because Twisteds count as objects in the game files, and they need to be deleted in order to reduced lag on a higher Floor.
  • All Twisteds have a code that makes it so that they all spawn with 2 Research Capsules.
  • Some Twisteds appear to be sentient and retain their original personalities to some extent, with an awareness that they are a Twisted. For example, Twisted Sprout tearfully compares himself to the show posters starring his Toon counterpart. Some of them also appear to feel pain and acknowledge other ailments they experience, as Twisted Bobette in the first few moments since her transformation, experienced a severe headache and tinnitus.
