How the result was decided

The Semi-Final result was determined through a mixture of a jury vote and a public vote, from audiences all across the world, with a 50% weighting given to each.

The public vote took place during the live broadcast of the show. The 15 participating countries, as well as France and the United Kingdom, were voting in this Semi Final.

The 10 qualifiers will join the qualifiers from the First Semi-Final (which happened on Tuesday 12 May), as well as the Big 4 (France, Germany, Italy and United Kingdom) plus reigning Contest champions Austria, in the Grand Final on Saturday 16 May.
