Buying an eDrum is a big investment. I live in location where the temperature drops to -20 Degrees Celsius in the winter and just around 30 Degrees Celsius in the Summer peak.
I would never want to expose my DTX8K-M to condensation and moisture due to humidity. Especially I have drum shells are made out of wood.
While I understand your frustration, I do love the tense and unsettling feel of the map. I know a lot of ppl hugs on the yellow tape to cheese the whole process meaning it's badly designed.
Ideally I'd like to see all Guards to spawn on towers. This way it's easier for us to spot and eliminate the threat before dealing with the landmines. It also doesn't make sense Guards casually roaming around in the middle of a minefield.
I think the game will benefit a lot if we had more HUD customization options.
Completed my first run on Brutal and starting my 2nd run on To the Wilder difficulty with minimum HUD. Yes, minimal HUD is very immersive and fun but can get jarring and frustrating like when clearing outposts.
Would like an option where Markers (Marked enemies, dropped cargo etc...) are only visible while using the compass mode not during the normal 3rd person mode. Also, I wish we had a separate toggleable option for aiming reticles and trajectory.
Going to play my first play through this evening.
Is there a setting in the game were I can limit the Structure Sharing with other players?
Ideally, I'd like to share the Structures I built but I don't want other players' Structures in my game world. Or is it basically an Structure Sharing ON/OFF?
I played DS1 last year and I absolutely loved it, but the game felt a bit to easy in the last half with all the structures/highways already built ready to use.
Many thx

Anyone else excited too? Kojima is a genius.
I'd like to see a match making option not based on Aggression and Behavior. Only based on Ping/Region but with better loot drops.
I was hoping something similar for the recent addition of lvl40+ MM.

I heard there's a short recap movie of DS1 in DS2 before you start playing, but I still highly recommend playing DS1 if you can. There's no FOMO so you don't need to worry left out being late for the party.
DS1 is like 30USD on Steam now so that's a good way to see if the game is for you without having to pay 70+USD full price. It's a very unique game for a very niche audience.
As a long time MGS fan I thought Kojima went insane for making a "walking simulator" after leaving KONAMI, but I'm so glad I tried the game 5,6 years later. Definitely in my top 10 fav games.
Sorry, I'm not going to provide the context. That kills the whole meaning of finding and reviewing the source material. You have to do it yourself and make your opinions.
And sure, you're free to think about anyone however you like. But never forget to be open minded. Always be willing to change your mind. Just a small advice.
hfgl,
Nah majority of men and women are not faphilia. I also find it quite funny you can tell someone is happy from a few gifs. Just to make it clear if she’s happy being obese, that is totally fine. Just disagreeing with OP’s opinion saying she’s hot. She does have a sweet smile but I prefer woman with healthy physiques thats all.
I’ll leave the facts right here before streamers and gaming journalists rewrite history.
Gamers shitted on HighGuard for being a shitty game in an over saturated hero shooter market. Geoff overhyped the game at TGA, but that led 100K payers to give the game a chance but ultimately everyone left.HighGuard’s failure is NOT on Geoff. It’s all on the devs.
This is just my opinion and I know I'm gonna piss off a lot of ppl.
What Japan did was definitely wrong. I truly wish I lived in a world where Japan did not attack Pearl Harbor and did not invade other Asian countries for the sake of 大東亜共栄圏. But at the same time, Nuking and Fire Bombing cities should not be celebrated and I appreciate most ppl don't. Everyone has their own political opinions so I don't mind ppl justifying but it's not something ppl should be celebrating on.
With that said, I'd rather not build international relationships based on guilt. I think it's incredibly unhealthy and unconstructive. Long story short, everyone has to move on at some point. And I don't think it's fair to put the blame on the current generation for what happened 70, 80yrs ago.
I don't think the current gen Koreans should be blamed for the Lai Dai Han atrocity. I don't think the current gen Brits should be blamed for what happened during the British colonization etc...
TL;DR Move on. Just don't forget what happened.
Reviews really don't mean anything.
A good game will always overturn bad publicity. A bad game will always overturn good publicity.
How many games shave you seen in the past few years that has been praised and glazed by gaming journalism corpos that turned out to be dog shit (Including HighGuard btw). And how many games have you seen that were spat on by the same corpos labeled these Game Devs as "Tranphobic," "Mysoginistic," "Not inclusive enough" "Racist" "Homophobic" etc... but turned out to be a banger of a game.
High Guard did not die bc of bad reviews. High Guard killed it self. Cause of Death. Apathy lead by generic gamaplay for an oversaturated hero shooter genre.
If you don't think Geoff over-hyped that game, I don't know what else to say honestly which means you're out of touch from the average gamers.. Ppl were so disappointed with the TGA bc HighGuard took the grand finale slot. StarWars Fate of the old republic or Ace Combat 8 would have been a far better option for the finale.
It felt like being served with shitty dessert after having gorgeous appetizer & main dish.
Were their troll gamers and reviewers? Ofc. But as long the game is good(For highguard it had to be exceptionally good) ppl will voice their opinions and show support for the game. Barely anyone was voicing their support. They just forgot about HG and moved on. HG was not worth even spending their time hating on it.
A game dev's true nemesis is not hate. It's apathy. If ppl are hating a game, at least they still have the game in their mind. Hate is better than Apathy, and for HighGuard it was Apathy that killed the game.
Geoff over hyped the game but that gave 100K ppl a chance to play the game. Were there some troll players? Of course, but if 100K players tried it out and almost everyone left, it's 100% bc of the poor game quality.
If the game was actually good ppl will cancel the cancel culture and voice their support for the game.
I don't think that's the case. HighGuard failed because it's a very generic game made for an over saturated hero shooter genre. It was simply not good enough for ppl to stop playing Apex/Valo/Marvel/OW etc... and dedicate their time playing something else. HighGuard had to be EXCEPTIONALY good to bring ppl in. Good/Okay was not enough.
Geoff might have overhyped it but that lead to 100K players actually try the game. but ultimately 90%+ decided it was not for them.
An excellent game will always overturn bad publicity, but good publicity will never over turn a bad game. Mo Man's Sky, CP2077 are peak examples.
I mean, he blamed the customers for making a very generic game in an already over saturated game genre. Don't forget he completely ignores about the 100K ppl that actually tried out the game on Day 1.
Geoff might have over-hyped the game at TGA, but that lead to 100K ppl actually trying out the game. Ultimately, the responsibility is on the game devs. Good game play will always overturn bad publicity. No Man's Sky, CP2077 are good examples.
Customers are not obligated to purchase a service/product, but service providers(game devs) are obligated to make/offer a good service/product/game.
Victim mentally at it's peak.
Completely random match making + better loot drop would have been a much better idea if I have to be completely honest.
Match Making not based on Behavior/Skill/Gear/Rank etc... Basically, a completely random/ping bases match making meaning both friendly players and hostile players gets thrown in to the same raid, but with better loots lying around the map.
This way players who wants minimum PvP can still play in friendly lobbies but PvP&PvE enjoyers like me can go in with high risk and come back with high reward if I make it out of the raid successfully. More threat but better loot drop is an extremely reasonable and a fair trade off.

Tbh I'm not a friendly player. I'm a PvP enjoyer that understands my capability. I'm really bad at 1v1 gunfights so I only engage on players that I'm 120% sure I can kill. Long story short I'm a very passive PvP enjoyer. And yes, I 100% agree playing in PvE lobbies for 10,20 raids is boring, that's why I'm heavily against Aggression Based Match Making or whatever you call it. I think the game will be better with completely random match making. Not based on skills / behavior / gear value / ranks, only random/ping.
Everyone has their reason and I totally understand your reason too, and yes I have to agree most maps plays out very similarly. Chaos, fast paced, getting shot from every direction. While Im okay with this, I wished for more varieties of game style. Some fast paced 24/7 CQB like Cairo, some large maps like Golmund Railway.
I think ppl who were expecting for a BF3,BF4 experience will be disappointed with BF6
Because making a drastic improvement to the progression system means EA/DICE will probably loose a ton of money. Weapon Packages is not just a weapon skin. It also technically unlocks weapon attachments too. Some ppl might still buy just for the skin, but considering the frustration and the fatigue, I think ppl are mainly going to buy weapon packages for the attachments.
Long story short, EA/DICE marketing strategy for DLC is Create a problem(unbalanced weapon progression) and sell the solution (Weapon Packages MTX).
