Twister Trailer is a manufacturer of custom aluminum horse trailers, headquartered in Fort Scott, Kansas[1]. Founded in 1998[1], the company specializes in building made-to-order trailers designed for equestrian, livestock, and cargo transport. Since it's inception, Twister Trailer has focused heavily on durability, craftsmanship, and customization.

History

[edit]

Twister Trailer was established in 1998 with the goal of producing the highest-quality aluminum trailers tailored to individual customer needs. The company adopted a custom-build approach, allowing buyers to specify features, layouts, and configurations suited to their particular use cases.

At one time, Twister Trailer produced it's Signature Series trailer line which was geared toward a more standard set of features with limited customization options. Currently, Twister Trailer is only producing made-to-order trailers and the Signature Series line has been discontinued.

Manufacturing

Twister Trailer produces as many parts as possible in-house. The trailers and their components are fabricated and constructed by skilled craftsmen. The company uses aluminum construction to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity and resistance to corrosion.

Customization is a central aspect of the manufacturing process, with each trailer built according to customer specifications rather than standardized templates.

In February 2008, Twister Trailer's parent company (Short Go, Inc.) filed for a U.S. Patent on it's unique latch assembly used on the divider walls. The patent was issued in October 2014.[2]

Twister Trailer Service and Repair, as the name suggests, is the service and repair arm of Twister Trailer. Based in Fort Scott, Kansas, they focus on maintenance service and repairs for aluminum trailers. Despite being attached to the Twister Trailer brand, the service and repair shop services trailers from all manufacturers. Additionally, the service and repair shop is not limited to trailers, and can perform a wide range of repairs.

In addition to repairs, Twister Trailer Serive and Repair also does convertions. For example, converting a stock-combo trailer to a living quarters trailer.

[edit]

Twister Trailer primarily serves customers in the equestrian and livestock industries, including horse owners, ranchers, and rodeo participants. Its products are used for transporting animals, equipment, and supplies across short and long distances.
