🧵 This forum has reportedly been linked with over 130 UK deaths. Despite making changes to block UK users, it is still accessible here without a VPN. The fact that the provider is based outside the UK does not mean the forum is outside the scope of the Online Safety Act.
Online suicide forum fined £950,000 for not complying with Online Safety Act duties to protect people in the UK from illegal content.

As per Ofcom's own prior attestations - which are documented in Preston J. Byrne's article "Thoughts on the £1,000,000 SaSu Fine" (prestonbyrne.com/2026/05/12/tho…) - they did, in fact, need to use a VPN to bypass SaSu's geoblocking.
