• You really think the Jewish people just "showed up" in 1948 with a suitcase and a British map? Jews have been the indigenous heartbeat of the Middle East for over 3,000 years, long before the first Arab conquest ever reached Jerusalem.

Countries like Iraq, Egypt, and my own beloved Iran were home to thriving, ancient Jewish communities. In 1948, there were nearly a million Jews living across the Arab world and Iran. Where are they now? They didn't just "leave", they were ethnically cleansed, their property stolen, and their lives threatened by the same brand of intolerant, medieval fanaticism that has held my people hostage for 47 years.

There was never a time when the "British Mandate" was empty of Jews. They were there under the Romans, the Byzantines, and the Ottomans, clinging to their ancestral soil despite every attempt to wipe them out.
