Just because YOU don't know about the treasure trove of Black characters DC has, doesn't mean they don't exist... And calling them all derivative/weak reads so diabolical coming from a bald white man who could pass for a Neo Nazi. Could be perceived as racist by those who may not know better. I feel you may have read what he said with implicit bias and that’s ok we all have that issue . But is the kindest most open minded legend in comics. I’m a Mexican Arabic indie comic creator and he has been kind, supportive generous with his time. He doesn’t have the ego that a lot of comic legends have. DC has black characters but not enough of and none of them with the mass popularity when compared to marvel There is no Black Panther, Storm or even Miles Morales in DC.

DC Black characters definitely have popularity like the Marvel Characters you named. To pretend that there aren't is ludicrous. There's Cyborg or Mr. Terrific, Vixen, and Static. They all have following from their various animated and live action appearances which many would like to see reflected in the format they originated from.

Not at the same level im not saying they are not popular at all. John Stewart is in my top 5 heroes, but mass appeal it’s not even close. A first appearance of a cyborg in a 8.0 is 120$, a first appearance of black panther in a 8.0 is 3,200$

Erik is one of the most genuine creators (& human beings) working in the industry. Pretty much everybody in comics will tell you that. The truth is that most well-known Black characters in comics and pop culture as a whole were created at a time when there was next to no work available for minority creators. That, but your followers may not. Let me assure you, there have been people in comics with actual hate in their heart. Erik isn’t one of them. You’re barking up the wrong tree. If you have an issue with how minorities are portrayed in comics, stop what you’re doing, and get to work making your own. That’s what I did. Then come back and tell me how easy it is to please every single reader 100% of the time. Lots of luck!

We just only passed the hospital I gave birth in last time. Just passed it by car. And my heart started racing. Husband had to stop the car cause I couldn’t breath.
