Israel ensured the medical infrastructure and supplies to hospitals had been decimated, so when they bombed his family's home and he was rushed to emergency care, the doctors present could not surgically remove the pieces of metal shrapnel embedded in him. They urged him to save money to get to a better resourced hospital outside of Gaza as soon as possible for urgent surgery. That was over a year ago. He still needs urgent surgery!

Since the bombing of his home, things have only gotten worse.

The genocidal famine, injuries, and constant displacement meant that the funds he raised mainly went to just keeping his family fed and affording medication for his disability. And then even those funds they relied on for the most basic life-sustaining resources were cruelly stolen away by GoFundMe.
