THANK YOU to all of Woodley Hills Students and their families that attended Family STEAM Night on Tuesday, December 17th; we had a GREAT event.

We had a wonderful turnout of 265+ people in attendance!  We hope you enjoyed playing math games (problem solving & computation tasks), experimenting with hands-on science tasks sponsored by the Children’s Science Center playing Challenge 24 (mental math game) learning about coding with Hour of Code solving online math activities with DESMOS; solving calculator tasks playing K-2 grade level games and reasoning & estimating at the Estimation Station and Which One Doesn’t Belong with your child/children.  Please continue to practice math & science at home with the take-home games, tasks, and activities!

We would like to thank our PTA, the Children’s Science Center, students, WHES families, teachers, specialists, instructional assistants, office staff, custodians, and administration for supporting our annual family event – we couldn’t do it without YOU!

The winners of the Estimation Station were:

Jimmy Martinez (DeVille: FECEP/Kindergarten), Dexter Deaver and Dillon Olmstead (Sharma/Keightley: 1st/2nd grade), Edwin Garcia Romero (Summers: 3rd/4th grade) and Erin Kromis and Angela Estrada (Rubright/Mojica: 5th/6th grade).
