Wait so your teachers don’t have to verify themselves by uploading an ID, etc? I was able to set up my school’s workspace. But almost every teacher who I invite and tries to verify, they get denied. It’s SO frustrating. Is this now fixed? I did verify my domain also.
Free through 2027 - anyone know what happens after that? Am I wrong to be paranoid that this is a trap to get everyone hooked and then I’ve got to find budget in a year?
Are you saying your teachers don't need to go through SheerID verification? Can you share information about this? We were able to link to our domain, but the teachers are still being prompted to individually go through verification.
Yes, our teachers don't need to go through SheerID verification. You need to email support@openai.com and request to enable domain claim for your school workspace.
I tried reaching out to support, and I was told that domain verification isn't a replacement for the SheerID eligibility check. :/
I'm super excited to hear this ... Our main hesitation with rolling this out was the fear of having to support staff working with SheerID. We didn't want to get in that muck...
I got to this stage too, but support told me they can't help and I have to contact sales. And sales won't answer my contact efforts (probably because I'm asking for free stuff?)
how good it is? is it same levels of Chatgpt plus? what is removed if not same as plus.
Wait, you got a human response?! My last try was a death loop of ai chat support.
One of our staff members got to ours first. While we intended to block it anyway, I got annoyed and just broke the ability to sign in with Google for it. Stopped it from being an issue quickly.
Completely the opposite for me, here the big dawgs want the school to embrace AI 🤖
We do too. But we elected to use SchoolAI (not MagicSchool) as our district supported platform. We're considering adding Gemini, since we're already a Google Workspace for Education client.
For us it is more about keeping teachers from being dumb and maintaining some control of our data.
I personally use and pay for ChatGPT, but I find myself moving more towards Gemini lately.
