Disneyland's viral Evil Queen is addressing why she was allegedly let go from her role after spending eight years portraying the Snow White villain.

In a recent interview with NewsNation, the Disney Parks performer, Sabrina Von B., detailed her shocking exit from the role after going super viral online for her performances.

"I am so honored for my time at Disney," Von B., 27, prefaced in the NewsNation segment, before calling her exit "abrupt" and completely unexpected.

When asked whether her viral online presence played a role in her termination, Von B. claimed that to her "knowledge," it was not an ultimate factor.

"If that is the case, they did not make that aware to me," Von B. said. "But, you know, sometimes we don't get the whole part of the story."

"It came down to something I think a lot of people would be surprised about — really just something with breaking a rule," she then claimed.

When pressed by the reporter to explain the "rule," she alleged that it was in relation to a viral video of her as the Evil Queen in which she subtly addressed reports that her character would be taken out of the parks in the near future.

"Guests approached me, after somehow being aware of it too, and a video of me, just not really disclosing anything but saying if guests want the Evil Queen around, go tell City Hall and make your voices known. And ultimately, that was a rule broken," she claimed.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Von B. said, "I'd like to say that creating and preserving the magic for guests was always my main concern, and the presence of the Evil Queen held, and still holds, great importance to guests."

"No matter who shared the information of the Queen's possible departure from the park, at the end of the day, that is the company's information to do what they wish with. The Queen always held a high opinion of herself and her importance. Boasting about that to guests, whether they film it or not, was very common for the character," she explained.

PEOPLE has reached out to Disney for comment.

Toward the end of the segment, when asked what was next for her, Von B. encouraged viewers to follow along with her acting journey on TikTok.

"So if anyone wants to follow my acting journey, and just my journey as a performer who can now be herself, follow me on TikTok," Von B. shared.

Von B. previously spoke to PEOPLE about her role as the Snow White villain in January, noting it was a "dream" to put her own "spin on a character that really wasn't popular or viral or well-known before videos of me really started going around."

"I read a lot of comments about people saying they would've never loved this character, but now it is their favorite character," she added. “Sometimes I would surprise myself with witty comebacks that I would come up with, and then I would try it on guests. I would be like, 'Oh, I can keep that in my arsenal.' I really open that door on stage, and I don't look back, and the Queen takes over.”

Von B. portrayed the Disney character for eight years, from the ages of 18 to 26. During her time at the theme park, she also portrayed Maleficent, Agatha Harkness and Lady Tremaine, but most often donned the Evil Queen costume.
