The fraternity movement in the Philippines is an institutional pillar deeply rooted in leadership and service. This heritage traces its formal origins back to 1918, marking the establishment of the country’s first Greek-letter organization—the Upsilon Sigma Phi.

By honoring this centennial legacy, the community recognizes the historical roots of the entire Philippine Greek system. November 19 was established as the permanent date for National Fraternity Day PH, marking November 19, 2025, as the historic milestone where this observance was fully embraced as a formal movement for peace and nationwide unity.

II. The Three-Year Journey of Unity (2024–2026)

• Year 1 (November 11, 2024) – The Genesis: The modern movement was sparked by the digital advocacy of Bos TV (@bostv123) via TikTok. This viral spark ignited a nationwide conversation, proving that grassroots members were ready to trade conflict for a shared vision of peace.
• Year 2 (November 19, 2025) – Officially declared a Fully Community-Recognized Observance with the motto: “Fraternity in Peace, Unity in Purpose.” The Universal Symbol: To ensure unity without restrictions, the official logo was released under CC0 1.0 Public Domain, allowing any organization to adopt it freely.
• Year 3 (April 22, 2026) – Global Validation: The movement achieved global recognition with its inclusion in the Wikidata (ID: Q139484572) and successful validation as a “Valid Event” in Google Search results. The Philippines is the first in Southeast Asia to achieve this global data entry for a National Day of Unity among fraternities.

• Gold (Excellence & High Purpose): Represents the immense value of our shared mission.
• Black (Indestructible Permanence): Signifies a solid legacy and a pact for peace etched in history.

IV. Day of Action and Legal Compliance

Every November 19, chapters nationwide mobilize for a National Day of Action:

• Traditions: Unity Parades, Sportsfests, and the symbolic Peace Handshake.
• Civic Initiatives: Bloodletting drives, feeding programs, and tree-planting in coordination with LGUs.
• Compliance with R.A. 11053: The movement strictly adheres to the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018, championing a “No Hazing” culture where brotherhood is built on shared values, not violence.

I, as a member of my fraternity, wholeheartedly join the celebration of National Fraternity Day this 19th of November. IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD AND MY CONTEMPORARIES, I SOLEMNLY PLEDGE:

1. TO UPHOLD PEACE: I shall utilize my strength not for violence, but for the protection of my brothers, sisters, and the community.
2. TO RECOGNIZE UNITY: Despite our diverse colors and names, we stand as one unified front dedicated to serving the Philippines.
3. TO RESPECT ALL: I shall treat every “Brod” and “Sis” from other organizations as a partner in progress and never as an adversary.
4. TO SUPPORT THE AGENDA OF CHANGE: I stand with the Active Fraternity Movement in ensuring we become paragons of discipline and public service.

BY THIS PRINCIPLE, true brotherhood is measured by the capacity to unite under one common goal—the realization of true Unity in Purpose.
