Hello friends! It’s time again to raise your hand if your career in software was not preceded with a comp sci degree! I’ll go first: BA in history. Bonus points (and so much respect) if you did this without the benefit of a college degree!

(Sorry I had to rewrite my comment). Someone quote tweeted me & made a thread painting ppl w/o CS degrees as inept coders who cause nothing but problems on the job & called us idiots. Like it’s fine to state your opinion ofc but to be disrespectful was childish
Raise your hand if you have been programming against SQL databases for over 30 years and cannot construct a LEFT JOIN (or any JOIN query) in SQL from the top of your head.

I’ve been programming for over 30 years. I LOVE VS and my blog is a wordpress blog (because I have better things to do). I’m glad you recognized the absolute b/s he was pedaling and that everyone called him out!!
Last night we drove to the mountains (you know.. the Swiss Alps), and took a cable car up to a small restaurant. This was the view from the restaurant:

Clarifying for a few: I'm talking about the on-the-fly "write code on a whiteboard to solve this problem " . Not flesh out ideas/discussion etc (which I love to do anyway)
OK there is a very odd process. No email but as others have suggested an onboard link under MVP application status and you have to fill it out. If you are returning it will be pre-populated . Anyway I’m back at 21 years! 😊

Welp I fear my time has come. No email (not even a Dear John), MVP badge is gone from my RD profile & 404 when going to my MVP profile. Searching the MVPs using my last name returns zero results. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. 20 years was a good run though. Time to go back to the pottery studio.

For my 100,000th tweet, I would like to announce that I have 100,000% finished every bit of my newest course, Entity Framework Core 2.1: What's New. I can't say how quickly will get it online but I hope within a week. Thanks for hanging with me!
What’s the problem with waving goodbye at the end of online meetings? * I like it. I don’t feel wierd or embarrassed about it. It’s friendly. It’s cheerful. *like a team meeting. Not like virtual courtroom meetings.
If you are making an effort to communicate me in my language (English in my case) because I don't know your language, please there is no need to apologize for the level at which you speak/write my language. I'm grateful for your ability!
Dear , I'm blown away by the add'l impact you enabled me to have as a Pluralsight author via these 30 day trial access codes I was given to share. I've given out ~700 via twitter and community & even more via stickers at recent conferences. Thank you! ❤
